xmgrace with very high screen resolution

Dear Gracers,
How can I deal with very high screen resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels (QHD+) on Ubuntu (Xubuntu, Gnome)?
Everything works fine except for menubars which are too small.
Some OS provide text-scaling options but this does not apply to xmgrace.
Is there any workaround to fix this?
It would be enough to simply double the text size in menubars.

Add these lines to ~/.Xresources (adjust numbers to your liking):

XMgrace.consoleDialog*fontList: -*-courier-medium-r-normal-*-24-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
XMgrace.geometry: 1700x1300
