making kdm start automaticly

I just installed red-het 6.1 on a friends machine.
It installed with gdm, kdm and xdm, but none of them starts up
automaticly. I tried to remove xdm, but rpm doesn't recognise neither kdm
or gdm as a package, so I can't remove them as a package. They also don't
appear as a package on the disk.
I don't have expirience with red-hat, so I was wondering how do I make
them start up at boot (I tried to start them as root and they worked
fine).
Thanx
