Uh, that's nice - the details actually get mailed, so even
if they were using SSL it would be useless.

You do have a valid point though.
Unfurtunately you can be quite sure that most of the
government facilities are so incompetent when it comes
to security that it does not really matter.

I'd also point out that such details are also associated
with most of the account created and used in various
universities, and your ID number is easily obtained anyhow,
as it's not a "secret code" as some people make it out to be...
