As LILO documentation says, this means that boot loader succeded in
loading itself, but could not load a secondary boot sector.

And, as it was supposed to be clear from LILO message, thats the case.
Your boot.b or kernel reside wothout the first 1024 cyls (0-1023).
What can be done?
* if BIOS supports LBA addressing, switch to it, rerun lilo.
* if BIOS does not support LBA, make the root partition to reside within
first 1024 cyls. 15 MB partition is more than enough for slackware, in
case you follow standart way of partitioning: one for root, one for usr,
one for var, one for home, one for local. rerun lilo.
* if you can not do this for one of many resons, you can still bootlinux,
but from w95. There are some packages which are able to boot linux from
within w95, loadlin seems to be the best.
Hope that this helps.
