Actually, if it's at night, then you'll need some light... If we don't
have a bonfire, we'll need a projector or something... Or just go to a
place that is already lighted.

Does anybody know of a good place with light, and a nice place to sit?
Personally, I think that sitting on grass would be much better than on sand;
If I remember correctly, Herzlia has both of them in one beach.

Both are fine with me.

You're right. A restaurant is simpler, and also more relaxing (you just come,
nothing to prepare in advance and nothing to take care of during the evening).
Too bad some people are too stuborn to understand this...
I have an idea - why don't I claim that according to my belief I'm forbidden
to eat in the open? If I say this, we'll be forced to return to the restaurant
idea :)
