Re: Multiple Identd Proccesses.
This "issue" is due to RedHat moving to a separate identd
daemon rather than one replying only when invoked from inetd.
I'm not sure. It might be for quicker responses, or it
might be for better configuration. Identd might be pretty busy
on a big server and so many children are launched when
/usr/sbin/identd is launched. They might share memory, they
might not - I'm not sure. Anyway, maybe it's still possible
to move to an inetd based one. Otherwise, read /etc/identd.conf
- it allows you to reduce the number of children somehow.
