Hebrew on Linux - in Linux weekly news
Hi,
I just found this on http://lwn.net/daily
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Linux Hebrew Support
Distributions, July 4 (Tuesday - U.S. Independence Day)
Liz Coolbaugh was asked in December of 1999, at the Earthweb conference
in New York, if she knew of any Linux distributions with Hebrew support.
So far, she still has not found any fully-developed Hebrew Linux
distributions. However, the following projects are working on
Hebrew/Arabic support for Linux. Clearly, if you are interested, they
would probably appreciate assistance.
Ivrix (pronounced eevreex) (they gave a link to all)
The LinuX project
The Israeli Linux Users Group (very slow link)
Note that the link to Ivrix was found on KernelNotes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ira, this question is for you: Why our ILUG web site is so slow from
U.S?? bandwidth not enough?
Thanks
Hetz
