If you use Redhat, and upgrade to Redhat 7, you'll also automatically get the
new, correct, file. However, there's a problem with Redhat's upgrade: the
actual timezone file is in /usr/share/zoneinfo/Asia/Jerusalem (and a few other
links) and it is upgraded ok, but the file that actually *matters* is
/etc/localtime. /etc/localtime should have been a symlink to that Jerusalem
file, but Redhat made it a hard link, so after the upgrade you're left with
the old, unchanged, /etc/localtime.
So after an upgrade to redhat 7, if you want the correct Israeli timezone, do
rm /etc/localtime
cp /usr/share/zoneinfo/Asia/Jerusalem /etc/localtime (or ln, or ln -s)
