could it be a reverse resolution problem? how about hosts.equiv? does
rlogin work at least? like I mentioned here before, I do all the
rCommand jobs over ssh. it gives you all the functionalities of rsh,
rexec and rcp built in, and for what it lacks, it does secure port
tunneling... apart from the fact the data is more secure, it compresses
it too, transfers end up being faster than rcp on compressable data.
