This is an unsubstantiated claim that you should drop immediately. It
might even be false.

If you are funded by companies then you should form a legal framework
like an amuta with an independent accounts auditor. As a matter of
honesty and transparency you should also publish a list of your sponsors
in a very prominent place, like a home page of a web site.
