Please note that you may need to recompile the kernel.

Also, the ER is, as far as I remember, is PCI id 8086 1030 (while older
8255x
are 8086 1229) and you may need to modify the source of for that. Please
check /usr/src/linux/drivers/net/eepro100.[ch] and fix there.
