RE: The Unified Resource Locator Plan
The original plan was not to police anything at all.
I supply the means for people to find each other, everything else is between
them.
But later on I can write a small database that will remeber borrowers, and
perhaps even automatically send them polite reminder emails about returning
books...
Or if anyone else can write that, feel free to donate the code. (please
don't use any DB other than GDBM, unless you host it yourself)
And lets hope that no one abuses that.
Since the transaction will be recorded by e-mail, you'll be able to press
charges against any missing book. (not that I recommend it and anything, it
just seems possible. I was pretty close to doing that after a first edition
K&R with handwritten notes by Guy Steele was never returned)
