Re: sendmail woes




Are your first hop (the place where you send your
mail to) listed in name form in the sendmail.cf file ? If
so, you might be wanting to enter its IP in /etc/hosts as
well. This would be a good place where it strangles. If it
doesn't help, you may try and use 'strace' to see where
it is hanging, or 'tcpdump port 53' if you suspect a
name resolution problem. Once you find the culprit just
put it on /etc/hosts.
