Help with cable modem(tevel)

Yes, sorry, I use Slackware Linux, I have PCI intel ethernet card, linux
detects it on etc/pci (that means i don't need a driver..right?) the cable
modem is provided by tevel does that help?
its works fine on windows, any idea's what should I do?

I notified tevel, the guy told me they don't have a linux support, but he
thinks it can work under linux if I know what to do.
