Re: True Type font support - and a vmware note...

Under redhat 6.0 and above (IIRC) fonts are controlled by a dedicated
font server. It's called xfs, and it's started by the boot scripts
(/etc/rc.d). It reads by default the configuration file
/etc/X11/fs/config.

You need to add a line to this config file that tells it where your new
fonts are, and then do a 'kill -s SIGHUP xfs.pid' which should cause it
to restart and reread it configuration file.

For more information, man xfs.

(P.S. I'm currently used the web1 fonts in netscape. In Hebrew, they're
- acceptable, but in Engligh, they're ugly. Acy recommendations for
better hebrew fonts?)

(Disclaimer: it worked on Redhat 6.0. YMMV)
