The key is PCL support. If your printer supports PCL, it WILL work with linux.
If it does not, you may be able to get Ghostscript to work with it (it
has lots of obscure drivers), but there is no guarentee.
Ask which PCL version it supports. PCL 3 is ok, PCL 4 AFIK does not exist
and PCL 5 is better. If tech support can't give you a number, I would
not trust the support person. :-)
