Meeting The Java BiDi team
Hi,
I apologize the mass crossposting, but I think this will interest everyone
here.
Next week the team of engineers responsible for bidi support in Java2
(JDK1.2 - Kestrel and JDK1.3 - Merlin) will be in Israel.
The team includes B.C. Beck, the chief bidi programmer and francis Tsang,
Java QA
manager, and also Bae-Chul Kim and Min-Chi Tien who are responsible for
Java Internationalization QA.
Jonathan Ben-Avraham was kind enough to arrange a meeting with them.
So we can hear the latest developments in Bidi support, and make our ideas
and suggestions heard. They are truly interested in hearing our suggestions,
and I'm sure many people here have many good suggestions to make.
It'll even include B.C.Beck singing about bidi and dancing :-)
The meeting is planned for next tuesday (July 11) in the evening (after
18:00).
If you think you are interested in showing up, email me
(chen@mercury.co.il).
The official announcment with the details (time+place) will be sent only to
those who email me and say they are interested - I'd rather not disturbe the
lists again.
