Re: Strange very high load




>From personal knowledge and research on the Net the eepro100 is a pretty
lousy chipset. You'll most probably get better results with 3COM cards. 

The best chipset I know btw is the Tulip, once made by DEC and got sold to
INTEL when Comaq took over DEC. Now, INTEL tries to burry the Tulip, but
some companies still makes cards with the chipset (because they had
previous contracts with DEC) and if you can get such a card it's your best
bet.
