Actually it had that capability ever since 0.1 . If you can spare the disk
space and want to install everything from scratch (or if you don't have a
windows partition) - it works fine.
There are even such tricks as copying your virtual system from one host to
another, and having vmware treat the virtual disk as "jornalistic", and
allow you to decide in the end of the session if you want to commit
changes. I haven't tried those, those.
