try 'xterm -fn heb8x13' . As a byproduct you'll also get hebrew chars.
For some reason the standard 'fixed' fonts that come with X does not
contain line drawing chars, but this one does (at least with XFree-libs
4.01 from Mandrake 7.2 on my current system)
