You mean a UMSDOS partitition (which is an emulation of
a Linux partition on a MSDOS FAT) ?
If Mandrake can do it (I'm not sure), then the obvious
problems would be:
1) Slower performance in some cases, as opposed to
native ext2fs partition.
2) Inability to fix disk errors via fsck since it's
really a FAT partition, not ext2fs. You'll either have
to live with that or resort to ScanDisk.
