And it exports a share under that name, right?
If you feel it's all okay, any clues from the log files on the 'smbd'
running machine? They usually know it all.
Have you set the password in SMB's password file? As I recall,
smbd doesn't use the system's passwords, but some /etc/smbpasswd file.
Anyhow, I usually always mount SMB shares with the 'smbmount'
utility and it works great.
