Re: installation of my sound card

Hi David,

I have the same soundcard. There's driver for trident 4dwave that comes
now with the kernel (2.2.16+), but somewhy its not working for me. my
computer hangs when i load it, but - try it first..

If its not working, use alsa's driver. that driver works great (including
full duplex, etc).

After you compile it, you load it with:
/sbin/modprobe snd-pcm-oss
/sbin/modprobe snd-mixer-oss
/sbin/modprobe snd-card-trident

You might also want to change your mixer settings (alsamixer). its shutted
down by default.
