Hi all.
I would like to ask your recommendations.
I'm in charge to plan and implement a backup strategy for a relatively small
programmers' community (15 Linux developers, 3-4 Linux servers, 2 Solaris
servers). Backup of Solaris is the most critical issue as it has ClearCase on
it as well as backup user home directories on their machines (that is, one
directory per machine). What backup program can you recommend that will be
able to backup all this stuff, which platform is the best for it to reside.
The solution not nessessarily should be the cheapest, though we do not plan
to spend millions ;-) The program should be able to deal with DLT. What DLT
would you recommend you have a good experience with? The initial backup load
wil be approximately 30 Gb.
Please don't beat me for a bunch of questions, it's my first time and I don't
want make mistakes.
Thanks in advance.
