Re: Help with cable modem(tevel)



Have you tried to use dhcpcd ?

from what I use (a private (belongs to my kibbutz) cable modemes network
with an NT server as a dhcp server) I had no special problems.

On redhat I simply had toconfigure the ethernet interface to use dhcp . I
took a look at the ifup script for that interface and it does not seem to
do much more than running dhcpcd.

I played a little bit with DosLinux and tomsbtrt (both of which come with
a dhcpcd) I simply had to manually run "dhcpcd" to get the interface
configured with dhcp.

Do you have any special dhcp settings (or login precess) on Tevel with
windows?
