Never used it. Dunno. All I've heard is rumors, among the stories
on project "Berlin" etc. Or as Wired calls those - Vaporware :)

I have a MAG monitor. Mode switches on those are extremely annoying.
In fb though, you have absolutely no mode switch, since it's all
the same mode. Never seen fstv. Is it worth a try? Does it support
lircd (the remote control daemon/module)? Would it bring my
dead PCI Avermedia card alive? :))

Atyfb works (besides the typo of naming the card
ATY 3D RaGE :) as well as the vesafb one. The only problems
with atyfb (or haven't I figured out how to do it right?)
is that you cannot choose on boot if to boot into text mode -
it always boots into FB (even when you boot with "vga=0"),
and that I couldn't manage to select a 16M color mode
with the appropriate vga= number (as specified in the docs)
so the TV won't dither in ugly 256 colors. I recall I could
do both with the ET6000 + vesafb.

And still, speed is not quite similar. And I don't wanna
be locked to one resolution in X.
