RE: On line Tutorials
I've skim-read all of the first volume. I was already a C++ programmer, but
I've learned some of the features haphazardly (from help files, etc.), and
took the opportunity to get a more comprehensive treatment from this book.
I also have Stroustrup, and this book is a much better learning resource.
It's written more as a tutorial than a reference, and furthermore provides
insights about general OOP programming along with the specific C++ syntax.
My recommendation:
- for anyone just learning C++, this would be a great book to buy.
- for the programmmer familiar with C++, just use the online edition as an
additional reference against a time of need (e.g.: "what happens when I call
a virtual function from a destructor?").

Have you actually read/use it (or parts of it)? What is your opinion about
it?
Have you heard others opinion?
