Re: imap with hashed spool?



The Cyrus IMAPD supports hashed mail spools (one letter,
easy to change though), but only uses flock for locking.
Since you're using NFS, I'm guessing you're gonna HAVE to patch
the file locking issues yourself in order to get dot-locking
support, otherwise I can see lots of lost mail. However, Cyrus
is pretty well written, so it should be easy (maybe changing qpopper to
use Cyrus's method will be easier, common/maillock.c).

However, serving mail over NFS? YIKES.
A definite nono anyhow.
