I have to rant. First, MS does good things too. look at
http://research.microsoft.com
Second: Sun is evil and competent. The problem is that Sun is too
competent to be
treated as bad thing, and too brain-damaged to be treated as good thing.
Third - the problem with Mandrake is that they suck. The problem with RH
is somewhat
different - RH are half-ignorant. Instead of taking existing market
models, they went on and
invented their own. Had they use Debian-like infrastructure, they would
be damn good.
However, their infrastructure is not suitable for high quality software
production. That is bad.
