Re: fontpath mystery....



this xfs (used with RH 6.0 and up and mandrake 6.0 and up) has an
easy-to-use chkfontpath program. it allows you to add, list and/or remove 

Basically it modifies /etc/X11/fonts/config (if I got the name right) and
also does the necessary xset . 

This means that adding a ttf fonts dir is something like:
1. copy ttfs into <FONT_DIR> and cd into it
2. mkttfdir >fonts.dir
3. chkfontpath --add <FONT_DIR>

no need to reset anything.
(of course this can only be done as root)

BTW: why do you use "web fonts" and not standard hebrew fonts? 
Spesifically - globes' bold looks horrible.
