Sorry Shachar, certainly I didn't intend to offend you in any way, and
I didn't imply that your answer was wrong. And I agree with you that
pointing in the right direction rather than simply giving an exact
answer is a good thing in many cases. Certainly my agreement with you
on this point is evident from my posting in this thread ;-)
Maybe you misconstrued some of the responses. People gave different
solutions after you posted your first one. It almost always happens in
mailing lists and newsgroups, because there is always more than one
way to skin a cat in UNIX/Linux. For my part, I tried to emphasize a
couple of points that are not immediately clear to a newbie from
standard find/grep/xargs documentation, so I thought it was
appropriate. Referring to "Schachar's suggestion" was much easier than
looking through the thread to cut'n'paste the exact command line. All
I did (and so did herouth, I believe) was pointing out differences. I
don't think you can imply from my posting that your suggestion was
wrong.
Again, there was no offense meant, and I am glad that none was taken.
