yes, Ghost 6 supports Linux partitions. btw using dd copies bit for bit,
backing up with dump makes more sense because t indeed saves only the
files (and you can have backup levels, the way AMANDA uses it). Ghost
for Linux does an excellent job of squeezing linux that way. I once
backed up a 3-gig drive of a firewall into an older 1 gig disk for a
client, and the partition ofcourse still booted fine (no need to even
re-run lilo AFAIR!)
