Two problems with partitions

Hi!

As the subject says I have two problems with partitions:

1) I have a 3.2 GB HDD splited into 4 partitions:

 - C: 1000 MB
 - D: 400 MB
 - E: 1000 MB
 - F: 800 MB

I decided to install RedHat Linux 6.1 on the E: partition.
The installation was fine but the problem is that after the installation
the programs that the F: partition became into E: partition so none of
the programs installed there have run.
How can I install Linux without this problem (I don't want to install
Linux on the last partition)?

2) I have another PC and I want to install on it Linux (RedHat 6.1).
The partition table on this PC is:

 - C: 1.6 GB
 - D: 2 GB
 - E: 1.6 GB

On this PC I want to install Linux on the last (E:) partition, but I
have a problem:
I have there a program that I want to stay on that partition.
Is there any program that allows me to find which part of the HDD this
program takes and to make a new partition with the other HDD space?
