Hi list.
I've just installed a new computer with Mandrake 7.2 - the HDD is brand
new (20Gigs Segate ATA66), but after the installation was complete,
everytime I boot the machine, during the boot process I get lots of these
messages :
hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete error }
hda: dam_intr: error=0x84 { DriveStatusError Bad CRC }
and then :
ide0: reset success
I'm thinking foul play - could it be bad blocks on the disk ? should I
return the disk to the shop ?
TIA
Oded
