bidi support is a compile-time default, and is turned off by default.
bidi support in 0.9.4.1 is not stable (read: *very* easy to crash soon
after starting)
I read somewhere that it was supposed to be turned on in the CVS buildss
after 0.9.5 will be out. 0.9.5 has just been released, but I don't follow
their lists closely.
And there is, of course, the problem of setting up fonts. If you read
their unix-fonts doc you'll see that they are not likely to adopt QT's
approach, and thus setting it up to use hebrew fonts may still be a mess,
as long as such fonts can come with the abiword distribution.
