before running timeconfig:
[root@shlomo1 /etc]# ls -la loc*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 33 Mar 8 17:08 localtime ->
/usr/share/zoneinfo/[No selection
after running timeconfig:
[root@shlomo1 /etc]# ls -la loc*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 803 Mar 18 23:58 localtime
[root@shlomo1 /etc]#
Is the garbage gone from the header?
