Hi.
I downloaded the 2.4.3 kernel and built it with no problems.
I also did a mkinitrd, also with no problems.
My /etc/modules.conf contains
alias scsi_hostadapter aic7xxx
( I also tried aic7xxx_old)
When I boot with the new kernel, it fails to mount the root file
system:
request_module[scsi_hostadapter]:root fs not mounted.
( I had the same problem with kernel 2.4.2-2, which is why I tried
2.4.3).
Any ideas ?
Should I build aic7xxx into the kernel - not as a module ?
TIA.
