I appreciating those messages not because the 'upgrade now, at all costs' but 
due to the fact that otherwise all these names (MDK 8, RH 7.2) will associate 
for me to anything. The reason for this is that trying to concentrate on 
Debian, I do not have much knowledge about other distributions. Therefore, 
having a time stamp about when a particular distribution has been released 
helps me to associate it to the kernel version, gcc version, X version and so 
on.
