ls and pager

"... `ls' problem, pipe it thru `cat' or `more' (you lose your color!) ..."
Is there a way to page ls with the colours ? I thought about adding a flag
that will cause a use of internal or $PAGER paging facility.
Does anybody know about such a facility ? What would be the correct flag ?
Maybe --page ?
