Re: nfslock
Hopefully you'll get a better response. In the mean while, I hope the
following will do:
1. I would look at the kernel sources, the kernel docs for nfs and on the web.
2. If I have to guess then I would say that nfslock is a locking mechanism for
NFS. As far as I know, one of the problems with NFS is the lack of the ability
to place various locks on files. Therefore, nfslock is probably meant to deal
with the locking problem.
3. As for why this is causing you problems I can not even guess. Sorry for
that. The previous 2 paragraphs must be the easier ones.

kerenl 2.4.0 on RH7 its giving me a failed status when shutting down the
machine
