Hello,
I'm the unfortunate user of Orckit ATUR3 modem... After trying for 3
days to make it work, I gave up and called Bezeq. They confirmed the
problem and the fact that replacing is the only option, but also told
me the following:
1. ATUR3 is MUCH better then ATUR2 (fewer disconnects, better speed,
etc.)
2. They cannot replace it right now because there's shortage of ATUR2
modems, and will contact me next week.
So, I have a few questions:
1. Can somebody confirm the #1 fact above?
2. Should I talk to them again and demand the change, or maybe wait a
week or so, 'cause eventually ATUR3 will work with Linux?
3. Did anybody try using ppp-2.4 (which is the latest version,
actually, and not ppp-2.3.11)?
I'm definitely not a network wizard, but I do know C and can do some
patching/testing work if somebody has any patches to test, etc.
Haim Gelfenbeyn.
