There are 3 main *good* hardware stores in Haifa.
1) KSP - the cheapest of all (and if I am not mistaken, they are also the
cheapest in the country. Check last PC magazine's review. They made a
large investigation concerning famous hardware stores with sites).
Though, their only disadvantage is their service, which I have heard
not the best. But if you know what you are going to buy, and you know
how to handle it - you should go for it. You may find them in Keren
Hayesod st. (Romema, if I am not mistaken), and their site is
http://www.ksp.co.il. I myself am going to buy from them the new
Plextor x24/x10/x40 CDRW pretty soon.
2) Mardanit - the 2nd cheapest. Very good service, and on some of their
hardware devices they give larger guarentee time than KSP. If you need
a service backup instead of a cheapest price (though they are the 2nd,
and the difference from KSP is not that big), you should go for them.
They have 3 stores in Haifa and the area - in Astra building, Kiriat
Haim and Nesher. For more details - http://www.mardanit.co.il.
3) Exellnet/Exlmarket. Not the cheapest (yet some of their devices' prices
are very attractive) but can't say that they are close enough to be
considered "expensive". A very serious store with many years of
experience (since the holy days of BBS's, when we used to be triggered
happy with Dynamode 2400BPS modem). If I am not mistaken, their service
is the best among this list of 3, and they have the largest options to
choose. I bought from them my new graphics card (they had the cheapest
the price when I bought it). Their store is found in Hutzot
Hamifratz. For more details: http://www.exlmarket.co.il.
Good luck :)
