I see I missed an interesting thread this month:
Adi Stav:

well, our ClearCase server crashed, it's running on RHL7.1. the CC
admin's words: "it's been running for over 28 days, and that's too much
for a Linux server, next time I will schedule a reboot sooner". I didn't
know if I should laugh or cry :)
later I found out it's a different problem... the CC server is running
kernel 2.4.2 and CC is sticking all sorts of funny and not-so-funny
modules into its kernel.
what's the uptime on IGLU I wonder? I remember RHL5.2 servers and
firewalls I maintained that ran for 6-8 months nonstop and finally fell
victim to the biggest kernel killer of them all: power failures.
