I am using RedHat 7.1 with Ethernet (3Com509 ...) and fixed IP number.
When typing "ipconfig eth0:0 second_IP" it does work but very slow.
A ping between two machines with both subnets give a much slower response in
the case of
second IP number.
Can I fix it ?
How can I define multiple IP's from the "linuxconf" module ?
I copied "/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0" and changed to
DEVICE="eth0:0"
IPADDR="xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx"
It did worked upon network up but look strange at linuxconf.
Tnx.
