It looks like you're not compiling the same thing as they did. Did you
take the srpm that came with your system and compile it with the same
compiler that came with your system?

In any case, I don't think Alan Cox should be bothered with a small issue
like this. Use http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/ to report bugs in Redhat
packages - that's what it's for. It allows them to track the bugs (unlike
Alan Cox "bouncing" your request), and they actually do respond to bug
reports (unlike Mozilla which seem to prefer bugs they find themselves over
fixing bugs in user bug reports).
