you should also be able to use ctrl-alt-backspace (unless your distro has
disabled that useful feature..)

As I mentioned, I am unable to reproduce this, and I use netscape quite a lot.
just simple html browsing, no audio, video, etc. (at most java/javascript).

Sometimes netscape has large timeouts where it is not responding on any browser
window. (I think when it does a dns lookup -- maybe that explains why it
happens at TAU?)

It may even stop responding at all -- (rarely. I still use netscape 4.77 as my
main browser because mozilla / galeon are too slow..)

But it doesn't cause my X to hang! So it is probably specific to your distro
or your internet. Or maybe it has something to do with hebrew support of some
form?
