In my opinion it is on topic: it is programming and debugging in Linux
env with Linux tools; more then one basic tool involved (compiler and
debugger); still not fully mature Linux tools (C++ GNU complier and
debugger).
Linux is not only Hebrew, not only networking, not only porting to the
latest athletic or iridium 10 mach speed processor, not only the latest
graphic card technology, not only a wonderful printer server or samba
configuration. It is also programming. More over: eventually many
things boils down to some basic lines of code somewhere.
As for other mailing-lists, I know of the accu-general@accu.org and
tuxcpprogramming@lists.linux.org.au. For news group I would search for
c++ in my ISP news groups list. Yet I do not know which ones are
considered good, high quality.
