HP writers are supported (and tested). Load the usb-storage module (in
USB-enabled kernels) and see if it detects your USB devices (run
'dmesg' and see what it finds). Then it should enable access to your HP
CD Writer as a regular SCSI device (see /proc/scsi/scsi).
