that cause tcl 8.2 up uses diffrent unicode compliant way to do write the
text.
it works with old versions and non unicode (which what cause a lot of
problems of ppl getting upset over it stoping to work)
anyhow 1.6.4 already have the patch in it and would work with any version
of tcl
