Re: Bidi support for Linux

There are the Ivrix mailing-lists, which are dedicated to advancing Hebrew
support on Linux.

For information about them check:

http://www.iglu.org.il/mailing-lists/

and

http://www.ivrix.org.il/

What I would like to see? I suppose usable Gtk+/GNOME and Qt/KDE widgets
that support bidi are what we need now. Work is being done of them, but if
your team can contribute in any way to speed up their development, it
would be nice.

You said you don't want to focus on Bidi-enabled applications, but I think
anytime now it would be one of the most important things to do. It would
be pointless if there are Bidi-enabled toolkits but no applications for
them that support Bidi.
