There is a huge difference between the performance of RDRAM-based P4
and SDRAM-based P4.
You must specify what RAM it uses.
I would prefer the P4 in the case of RDRAM, and the dual-P3 in the case
of SDRAM-P4 (unless your application is not "parallel-able"; But since
you are going to use this machine as a general purpose server + some
personal apps, I believe that this is not the case).
Note: This is based on the common opinion of experts, and not on any
personal experience.
