RE: smb and win98/2000

1) check what security scheme you use on Linux side (share, user, domain)
2) in any case you should (if I'm not mistaken) create users with exactly same names that in Windows.
3) use swat.

Subject: smb and win98/2000

I have SMB installed and configured successfully in my Linux box- (FILE SERVER)
but, when  want to get in the shared directories from my windows computer (win98/2000)( I can see  the shared directories) but I can't get into them.
windows doesn't ask me for  password or anything else.
What can I do about it ?
