For this specific function, do
set pager_stop=yes

Generally, it's probably a good investment of time to go through the
listing of all the variables in the manual
(/usr/share/doc/mutt/html/manual-6.html in Debian, probably a similar
location in other distributions) to familiarize yourself with them.
