Re: Some hebrew related help needed

The national main Bidi standard document is Israeli Standard 1489
"Architecture for implementation of the Hebrew language in computer and
communications systems". You can purchase it from SII (Machon Hatekanim).
This is quite general and not directly applicable as programming
instructions.

Another relevant standard (referred to by the former) is the Unicode Bidi
Algorithm. See the Unicode Standard book, or Technical Report 9 on the
Unicode site (www.unicode.org).

After you have a look at these 2, you wil probably have more specific
questions.

Subject: Some hebrew related help needed

Hi,

I was contacted by a company that wants to develop some software for Linux
and with Hebrew/Arabic support (I can't company name)...

I wonder if anyone could point me to:

1. Find as much info as possible about BiDi implementation and algoritms..

2. I know that there is a BiDi standard documents which can be purchased -
where from? (URL, address, etc..)

Thanks,
