true, but even if you stick with a specific one, it's a far cry from the
stability of a 2.2 kernel. the fact RHL is now defaulting to 2.4 while
selling it as a server platform though the real reason is to get USB and
other stuff in, annoyes me. that is all.

not really. I think I was running 2.4.7 with a very long uptime before I
decided to upgrade... I still wouldn't use it for a server...
