Hello, list.
Please be polite to me as well, since I spent the last 3 hours searching
the net for possible solutions to my problem: nat does not forward or does
something equally awkward to ident queries, even though my firewall rules
allow tcp port 113 on my masq'ed machine. I was using the pidentd service
which came with Slackware 7.0.
After trying out several other identds I discovered that the reason they
do not work is the in-existance of /proc/net/ip_masquerade, something
which probably was used to read masqueraded connections data in 2.2 branch
kernels.
I then tried to look for identd servers which support masquerading under
2.4 kernels, but with no success. please help me and don't flame me :P
Thankyou.
