guy hey,

The modem is an isa plug&play and its on ttyS1 always. No matter where i
plug it (i mean, in witch slot) it always uses ttyS1.
The device does work (well i think it because i can get a response from it
and dail with it).

Yes, when i mean the same i mean the same computer. Let me explain!

I installed the two computer with another computer. I have a computer (other
then the two ones we are taking about) and what i did is i took two hard
disk and istalled linux RH6.1 on them. I didnt change nothing and i
installed on the both two hard disk the same pppd scripts. i took every hard
disk and pluged it in its computer (one for the 386 and one for the other).
So basicly i tried to keep them as 'the same' as possible. ;)

thanks,
