I would like to announce here the early stages of the project "Humanity".
It aims to write the script for the movie "Humanity" (sub-titled "The
Cathedral, The Bazaar, The Rest..."). All versions of the script will be
available under the Open Publication License and will be registered to The
"Humanity - TC-TB-TR" Foundation.
The movie tells the story of a day in the life of a Semitic city circa the
year 500 B.C. It is a humouros one and aims to be a parody about Humanity
and modern life in particular. The film focuses each scene on one of the
elements of the city: the Cathedral (actaully an altar with a priest), the
Bazaar, the Well, the Wall, the Gate, the House, the Street, etc.
The scenes would be written by more than one writer, co-operating in a way
similiar to that of an open-source project. There could be several
alternative scenes for each title, and each scene may have several
rendering options.
For more information consult the project's page at BerliOS:
https://developer.berlios.de/projects/humanity/
Note that right now, version 0.0.2 of the script (which was written
entirely by me) is available on the homepage.
Regards, and have fun,
Shlomi Fish
