hi guys,
i have a problem with icq malfunctioning in a masquerading setup. the
icq client, version 0.99b, is running on a windows 98SE laptop, and
masquerading is provided by a linux machine running kernel 2.4.13.
the problem is that the icq client only partially works. by this i
mean that:
1. the user is never seen as online by other users.
2. keeps getting old messages over and over.
3. does not get status change notifications when other people go
online or offline.
4. (sometimes) sends messages and people do not receive them.
i'm working on the assumption that it's a flaw in either my
masquerading setup, or the icq protocol. a web search shows an icq_masq
module for 2.2 kernels, but i could not find such a module for 2.4 kernels.
so: does anyone have such a setup, working? if yes, just how did you get
it to work??
thanks in advance!
