Hi,
those who are on the israel.pm.org list have already seen this
announcement, my appology to them.
I'd like to let you know about the web site I have setup which is
dedicated to the advancement of Perl in Israel.
The URL is http://www.perl.org.il/
It has a list of a few projects, tutorials, courses, etc. that
are somehow related to Israel.
I have also setup a mailing list on the site where I hope even
beginners will be able to ask questions and get rasonable answers.
It has a bit different setup than the other Perl list,
it is hosted on my server located in Israel and it has an archive as
well. (and if you reply to a posting it goes back to the list
not to the author)
You are all welcome to join that list too.
I am also looking for your help.
I would like to add more local information to the site so if
there are other projects or resources I have not listed yet,
please let me know.
I also would like to creat a "success stories" or "testimonials"
page where Israeli companies or organizations can tell about how
and why do they use Perl. I belive that bringing such examples
will help other Israeli comapnies in the decision to start using Perl.
So if you know such an organization, I'd be glad if you could
help contacting them.
Anyway, your input is welcome in any ways and let others know about
the new site.
regards
