Slightly OT: An anti-terrorist story I wrote vs. the Slashdot effect

I wrote a story back in 1997 which I called "The Enemy and how I Helped to
Fight it". While saying it is anti-terrorist in nature is an
over-simplification of it, it does essentialy deal with the situation
that at least used to prevail in the Israeli-Lebanese border. It is also a
satire, which aims to be humourous. I'd rather not tell more as it will
ruin it.

The story was initially written in Hebrew, but I translated it to English
(by myself). It is available online on my Technion site. Note that it is
not by any means an open content one, but the way I see the "license" it
is not precisely proprietary, but I won't go too much into that.

Its current exact URL is, for the record:

http://techst02.technion.ac.il/~shlomif/humour/TheEnemy/

Until now, the only commentary I received about the story were from people
who read it, after I "pushed" it to them (i.e: convinced them to read it
in one way or another). Due to the the unfortunate events of Sep. 11,
I am hoping that my story may appeal to a larger audience than it did
until now, so I'd like to publicize it in a site like Slashdot or
something similar.

For the record, I do not consider it as abusing those events because:

1. The story criticizes and rejects the very core of all past, present and
future terrorism and all other similar irrational acts.

2. I do not hope to make any money of the story. AFAIC, it will remain
publicly available on the web for everyone to read and comment on.

My problem is that techst02 (commonly known as t2) is the Technion's
main Undergraduate computer, and many students depend on it. While it may
withstand the Slashdot Effect, I'd rather not put it, or the Technion's
inter-connectivity to the test. I have an account on iglu.org.il (I also
have root there), but ActCom does not have a good external connectivity
either.

I have an account on BerliOS, a SourceForge-like software hub, and I have
set up several sites there. However, I'd rather not abuse it, due to the
fact that the story is not Open Content, and I have no intention of making
it so. (and due to the fact that it is not related to software in any way)

So I'm looking for a host somewhere close to the Internet back-bone to
host it on. I could use Geo-Cities, but I prefer some other alternative.
Note that I will allow free mirroring of the site (as a whole - it's
420K uncompressed), so the load will eventually dwindle, assuming there
will be a heavy load.

If you have a homesite somewhere MBonish and are willing to mirror this
relevant part of the site, please contact me in person. I encourage you to
read at least the first part of the story, before you agree to it, so you
can be sure that the story does not contradict your Sense of Life<tm>.

Please don't turn this thread into an Arab-Israeli conflict one, or a
flame against my "greed".

Regards,

	Shlomi Fish
