No it doesn't. My point was that it is not practical to have an unsorted
(by sorted I mean divided up into the different mailing lists) inbox with
all the mailing lists combined and read them all as one big mess (think
about being away for a few days, and returning to 500 messages all in one
big messy folder), so you need to divide them up into different folders.
I guess that Gnus does that for you. I don't know - even though I wrote
about 1000 lines of emacs-lisp to configure XEmacs, I still use it as an
editor, not some sort of swiss-army-knife-mail-reader-and-browser-and-
tetris-playing contraption.
I never said that it wasn't possible to read mail easily, or that reading
email and usenet must somehow be very different. All I said was that I
consider getting mail-bombed with mailing lists everyday to my main folder
a negative property of mailing-lists, not a positive one. It doesn't mean
I don't like mailing lists - heck, I'm writing to one right now :)
