Well, do you have WINS running in smbd? :)
This might be a good idea, since they're not exactly in the same
network and NetBIOS isn't available.
I remember I needed WINS to use my ISP's "Network Neighbourhood"
via a dialup since otherwise Windows' cannot resolve the NetBIOS
hostnames.
