I have bumped in a similar case a few weeks ago but on the
opposite direction. Tried to connect to a Samba share which worked from
NT but not from 2000.
Then the problem was that on NT sent the passwords as clear text
while the 2000 sent them encrypted.
I don't have the exact solution at hand but I think I found it
at Deja www.deja.com
