Re: Modprobe can't locate




If you upgraded the kernel from 2.2.x to 2.4.x you must also update your
modutils package. The 2.4.x kernels have a different directory layout in
/lib/modules/`uname -r` than the 2.2.x kernels. If you are using an old
modprobe, it might be looking in the wrong place, even if you did remember
to 
make modules_install
the modules.
