I think XMMS can fill the bill quite well. It's got plugins to handle
most of those video formats (for MPEG it's got the SDL plugin and for
AVI and ASF it's got a plugin that uses the aviplay library; as to
MOV, if you're referring to QuickTime, I don't think it's supported at
all on Linux, at least not the Sorensen codec which is used by most
QuickTime movies on the net right now). The plugins support
full-screen operation (may require Xv and/or DGA from the X server).
And of course it has playlists and all that.
