The best way to know this things is: Read the Linux Kernel Modules HOWTO -
http://www.linuxdocs.org/HOWTOs/Module-HOWTO/index.html

There is pump and pump installed in every RH automatically.
dhcpcd package includes a dhcp client. There are peoples suggest compiling
dhcpcd instead of the pump package because of pump bugs, etc. and there are
peoples that suggest using dhcpcd because pump is faster and simpler. You
will have to do your own choice.
