Has anyone on this
list any experience with installing relocateable RPM packages
using
rpm 4 ( RH 7.1 )?
I encounter a
strange behavoiur of that particular "piece" of software: when I create a
relocateable
package and try to
install it with a new prefix, I see one file ( the last one in %files section )
that
is created in / (
root ) folder. Its name is the prefix I give to rpm as an option, without
slashes.
For example, if I
have files /usr/bin/foo and /usr/lib/libfoo.so in %files ( Prefix: /usr )
and I try to install
the package with "/usr/local" prefix, I see a file named
"/usrlocal" ( prefix
without slashes ), and its contains inidicate that this file is
what was
intended to be /usr/local/lib/libfoo.so
????
