This is really not my problem :-) since the compiler uses those
directories as a last resort, if it can't find the things it needs in the
directories I did include. if I have the configure script to used my
command-line-options-specified directories before the '--prefix'-derived
directories then it works ok -
my problem again is : can I , and if so - what switched/environment
settings do I need to set for configure to correctly compile programs for
KDE1 when the default is KDE2 - without editing any configurations files
(which is a problem if I want to compile SRPMs. I think editing a spec
file is reasonable, while adding patches is not).
TIA
