I have Kylix Preview Release 4 here...
While running on remote X server over the 100mbit network (my linux machine
is headless), it's fast. Not as fast as Delphi 5 running locally, but fast
enough for productive work. As for compiles, I see that it is very very
fast, probably much faster then Delphi on Win32, I cannot compare directly
because my Linux machine is slower then my Windows one. It's not fair
comparison, however, because Linux is faster then W2K anyway :-) The general
feel for compiler is "blazingly fast" - I'm going to buy it as soon as it's
available...
Haim.
