Did you put the line:
browseable = yes
for the shared directories in smb.conf file?

Subject: smb and win 98/2000
I have SMB installed and configured successfully in my Linux box- (FILE
SERVER)
when I want to get in the shared directories from my windows computer
(win98/2000) I can see the other computers and the shared directories but I
don't see the names of the files even not at the explorer. If I write the
name of the file in Word application it opens it (but I want to see the list
of the files and to choose from there- but I can't).
I don't get any error massage and windows doesn't ask me for password or
anything else.
What can I do about it ?
Hagit
