Hello People
I just wanted to let you know that my kernel is compiled now very well
with gcc 3.0.3, and so do most of the other softwares (including kde2).
There might be some c++ programs which won't compile because of
incompatibilities with the new c++ libs (usually the author's fault and
not gcc's- gcc 3 is more strict and stands in ANSI C/C++ and all), but
all the other c programs I've compiled were compiled well.
I don't suggest replacing gcc 2.95.x with 3.x, but it's really usable
now (I linked 2.95.3 as 'oldgcc', and I hardly use it), much more than
it used to be when gcc 3.0 was released (I replaced then my 2.95.3 with
3.0, how stupid :) ).
Have a nice day,
- Oren
