It is and it is.

I was thinking about it too. I'm porting some stuff at work to Linux and
Solaris, and frankly, I'm not a big enthusiast of porting other people's
code on my free time. 

BUT I'll probbably do it if there's no better solution available. 
Flask and xMPEG generate more problems than they solve. And I'd add multi-process support while at it. I Wanna see it
work on a cluster :)

But don't such things exist already?
