The ftpd on ftp.tau.ac.il is checking for matching A/PTR records. It logs
both the IP and the host.
As I mentioned above, for example, Netvision and Internet Zahav have
active abuse departments, which take care of abuse and actually are
responsive, and they have followed what is known as netiquette, and
defined matching A/PTR records for the dialups they own.
It is our experience, as being the first Internet connected body in
Israel, together with the other .ac.il bodies, that the policy we enforce
is the right thing to do.
