I have seen this kind of question on the net before: make deps
for 2.4 getting stuck on RH7. The answer was always "use the updated
gcc or kgcc". I think I saw it on both guinness-list and linuxtoday.
Caveat emptor: I have not verified the validity of the answer myself.
I should have mentioned that.
