stupid question - did you install KDE? do you have the KDE RPMs installed
on your system _now_ ?

reinstalling is not what's going to solve 'missing programs' problems.
installing the relevant packages - might. run your rpm manager and install
all 'kde*' rpm packages from the cdrom. i haven't seen RH7.2 yet, but i
presume the packages are there.
