Hi,
My friend is using a Serial Line to connect the Internet. When he is trying
to connect he getting this error:
Aug 14 05:13:22 xxxx pppd[444]: pppd 2.3.11 started by root, uid 0
Aug 14 05:13:22 xxxx pppd[444]: Using interface ppp8
Aug 14 05:13:22 xxxx pppd[444]: Connect: ppp8 <--> /dev/ttyS0
Aug 14 05:13:22 xxxx pppd[444]: ioctl(SIOCSIFMTU): No such device(19)
Aug 14 05:13:22 xxxx pppd[444]: tcflush failed: Input/output error
We know that this happens (Can't connect) because of the ppp8 problem. How
can he change the ppp to use ppp0?
Thats a really strange problem...Remember: there is no ISP and dialing,
etc. Its Serial.
any idea?
