tip: ADSL settings and bezeq linux support

this might help people who encounter ADSL not-working problems lately.

i just had a problem connecting with ADSL to bezeq's system, that started
yesterday. ofcourse when i talked to bezeq and told them i use linux, they
said they don't support linux (not before the supporter on the line tried
looking for someone there that knows about linux) - at least they
acknowledge that linux is an OS that exists, and don't scratch heads when
hearing the name. btw, logs showed that pptp conection setup worked, pppd
send an LCP configure request (for MRU/MTU etc.), and never got a
response.

tonight i installed nezeq's software on win98 (with some problems) and
then called support again. after fixing the eroneus VPN server address i
wrote in the VPN adapter, and seeing that it does not connect, the support
person went to check the line, and found it was missconfigured on their
size. fixing that made adsl work in win98 (first time here - never
bothered setting it until now) and ofcourse working again under linux.
the misconfiguration _PROBABLY_ occured during the massive config changes
made lately, when it upgraded the 'uplink' speed to 96KB/sec (while
downgrading the 'downlink' speed to 1.5MB/sec instead of the former
2MB/sec limit).

so if anyone else finds their ADSL link dead lately, call bezeq's support,
and ask them if they perhaps made an error when reconfiguring all ADSL
lines lately.

what bugs me is that they made this change already (sent a letter
regarding this) and i did notice my uplink speed was reduced (previously i
could upload fiels at 25KB-30KB/sec - probably someone forgot to limit my
line) - while the problem started occuring only yesterday, so it might be
a different reconfiguration that they made.

hope this helps someone,
