Hi
I have a problem with less:
Whenever I run
less somefile
I get:
ESC[36lESC>
spit to the console
but the follwing works just fine:
less <somefile
This is run from an xterm.
I currently run a patched copy of xterm (with bidi hebrew support), but I
seem to recall that the problem has started before that (and even when I
run it without -u8 I don't get this behaviour).
>From trying different terminal emulations (xterm, rxvt, aterm) and
different terminfo entries) I can see that the problem probably lies with
the terminfo entry (xterm and xterm-color seem problematic, the other
xterm* seem to work fine with less)
That entry is from ncurses-5.1-8mdk package of mandrake 7.2 .
Anybody else encountered this? Anything else I should check?
