ok the system is based on:
SE440BX-2 motherboard (currently with the P15 BIOS version) , PIII CPU
450, 256 MB RAM, 2 HD - 15GB WD(Win2K) and 4.3 GB Quantom (Linux).
1st IDE: WD HD
2nd IDE: CD-ROM *52 (SM)
Quantom HD (SS).
the 2nd HD was a PS but it had the same results....
i say again, under Win2k without the 2nd HD everything is working fine.
lilo.conf is pretty standard ...i attach it here.
The problem is not only with lilo....i can always load it like i am now, using a floppy.
the problem is larger, when the 2nd HD is in the whole machine doesnt work like it should.
