That list already has two addresses (linux-il@linux.org.il and
linux-il@cs.huji.ac.il) . A third name (espcially when added as a
reply-to) helps creating even greater confusion.
As for your question: THe method of using antiword |bidiv as Nadav
proposed is certainly good enough if you onl ywant to read the text of a
hebrew word file.

I also asked recently a very similar question in the list, and was
answered that both win4lin and wine won't be able to run hebrew win98.
Maybe you should rephrase your question: office2000's hebrew support does
not require hebrew windows, IIRC. There are probably better chances of
office 2000 running on lin4win/wine than hebrew office 97.
