Did Marc drop F. as his middle initial? Wow!
A more pertinent remark on the F[ine] traditions of Linux-IL is the
continuing reference to differential SCSI cables. I distinctly
remember Marc producing a new, upgraded weapon at one of the
gatherings - a port replicator (forgot the exact model).

Finally, it's positively amazing how this list manages to stay away
from all the common religious wars (see the full list in the archives)
but the topic of whether or not newbies should be publicly F[logged]
and/or F[lamed]. While in general I support choo and thereby Marc on
this issue, it doesn't look to me that the list is flooded with
newbies. Undoubtedly, this is a result of the wise F[logging] policy
instituted early on, but this means that the occasional transgressor
can be told to RTFM or happily ignored.
Also, whatever you do, please distinguish between blatant neglect
towards TFM and occasional bouts of stupidity. I, for one, have been
known to suffer from the latter, as pointed out by choo himself
recently. Has anyone written a HOWTO on not taking offense? Besides
RFC 1855, that is (is it required reading for subscribers, by the
way?).
