No,

while my system is RPM based (SuSE 6.0), I use rpm mostly for rpm -e
before I install a new program. I only compile stuff on that machine.
The FAQ of glib said that it should work (I actually compiled a program on
another machine that has glibc 2.1 and it works on my glibc 2.0
system!) and that the make install will remove the old includes.

The Q was wether there are any other problems, how well does the binary
compatibility work etc.
