another thing I just found. on some init scripts they also call fndsession, 
which eventually call a perl script /usr/sbin/chksession, which does the 
files /etc/X11/gdm/Session (it finds on boot time which wm are found on the 
system), so that dir is auto generated on boot time. That perl script also 
links "default" against "kde". A small patch fixed it, now it writes the 
above example.
