Re: virus-scanners for mail servers

I didn't advertise, and I'm no salesperson. Tzafrir asked a question, I
answered it by pointing out a product I know about, and I mentioned the
exchange version to emphasize quality. I don't think that's out of line.

It's the same as someone asking for a suggestion on a mail routing daemon,
and me suggesting qmail, and adding that they had a 1000$ award to anyone
who could exploit it that went unclaimed.

would such "advertising" for software that runs on linux be bad on the
list? Are the next posts that suggest alternate solutions by McAffee,
Norton, whomever any different? Does it make a difference if I am employed
by the company that makes this software? Finally, do you truly believe my
motive behind my post was selling my companies software? or was it a mere
reply to someone's question?

If we abolish all posts that carry a product name in them from the list,
there won't be much left :-)
