RE: Phoneline Networking

A quick search revelead the following things :
- apparently, Broadcom (the manufacturer of the HomePNA 2.0 chip) claims to
have linux drivers, but since they don't wont to handle support for the
products, will only release them to the integration companies (the people
who actuall sell you the stuff).
- The integration companies (LinkSys and Diamons were specificly mentioned)
will not release the linux driver or even relate to it.
- The HomePNA 2.0 is supposed to be backward compatible to 1.0 so someone
thought that it might be able to work with the 1.0 drivers (I do not believe
so).

I think this is not BS, as Broadcom (together with AOL, Gateway and
Transmeta) offer a "Mobile Linux" based web pad that uses HPNA 2.0 for
connectivity.
