i was there, and so was mulix, as you can see in

i think there were about a hundred people (is it a lot?), the hall was
full, anyway.
for me it was worth the time, no doubt about that, though some of the
people made a few funny mistakes.
the orientation was selling, of course, but except for learning about
compaq products, i also learned about open software relevant to clusters,
and heard about comparisons of different ways for using clusters (pvm Vs.
mosix, for example.)
the most important lecture , for me, was by Ami shlezinger from IAI
(taasiya avirit), who told about the cluster they created there, of over a
hundred pc-s. the important thing about that cluster, is its scalability.
the slides of the lectures are supposed to be online soon. i can update
you about the url when i am informed.
anyone interested in specific aspects presented or not presented, is
welcome to ask me in private.
