hi list,
i am running winnt workstation 4.0 in vmware under my RH7.
the vm is configured as raw disk, and not virtual (which means that i can
boot the same os from vmware or normaly with lilo..)
untill today everything worked fine. i made 2 harware profiles in winnt
that each of them contains the right info for vmware's resources or my
real machine resources (depends on which i boot from.)
the problem started after upgrading kde from 2.0.1 to 2.1 beta2.
after upgrading, i boot windows from vmware, and it gets stuck in that
blue loading screen...and it wont load windows.
when booting normaly - everything works.
i know that kde has nothing to do with vmware, but this was the last
change my system had since the last time it worked.
running the vmware-config.pl setup script did not help..it showd that
everything is in order.
did anyone come accross this problem, or has any idea what might caused it
this ?
my current system configuration is :
related software:
RH7 , kde 2.1 beta2 , XFree 4.0.2, kernel 2.4 .
related hardware :
amd T-bird 1Ghz , 640MB ram, riva TNT2
thanks.
