There have been threads about this before, but after my recent **accident**, I
decided to do some research on the subject, and found what is IMHO, a fantatic
one-diskette LINUX rescue utility. It allows booting and mounting file systems
(including the latest ReisrFS and ext3) and has a huge arsenal of tools to do
your repair/recovery work. This guy has even included Midnight Commander, which
although I don't normally use, is a great help on a diskette of this type.

enjoy :-)
