Thanks for the tips. Maybe my problem was that when I
edited ld.so.conf the first time, I left /usr/lib before
the glibc stuff.
Can I use the LD_LIBRARY_PATH trick to test and see if
a particular configuration works? Or do I have to hose/
unhose my system?
