Yes I did that. Really I have experience with (expensive) Fritz card and 

(cheap) Winbond based one (I do not remember exact name) both work.

But standard ISDN tools both in RH7.1 and in Mandrake8.0 are very buggy.
So I've downloaded isdn4net and isdn4k-utils compiled and wrote a very 
primitive scripts to start.(I also compiled ISDN support in my new 
kernel 2.4.8 but it is not necessary).
