and in a typical israeli manner, we complain about things, completely
forgetting that being an ISP is an unprofitable business on its own. the
whole business model should be changed in order to allow for profit in the
current prices (and hardly anyone would pay higher prices in order to get
high speeds).
so you'l stay with the virtual high bandwidth speed, and the speed will
gradually increase in the coming years (as it has in the former years),
and perhaps in 5 years, you'll get something close to what the idiotic
commercials of bezeq and the cable companies have claimed.
you should remember one thing - adsl lies only at the bottomof the 'food
chain' and it is useful only for making that low-end wrok faster. behind
it, there is a slew of links that get you up to those desired web sites,
ftp sites. gaming sites and what-not. the revolution hasn't gotten there,
regarding price of bandwidth from israel abroad. but it is slowly
advancing - ever slower thenthe dreams commercials place in your heart,
but it is advancing. patience...
