Forgetting for a moment the question of whether such a thing works (I doubt
it), if it does work does it sound to you ethical to use such a thing?

Your posting is the perfect message to put a "these are my own thoughts, not
my employers'" on - so conspiracy theorists in this list don't start suspecting
that Checkpoint is trying to increase its earnings by subliminal advertising :)
