after you probably got the correct possible two answers, here is how
you'll find them yourself. there are two locations for making searches
that are of enoremous use: www.google.com and groups.google.com .

i went there, and typed in two parts of the erorr message that seemed
unique enough:

File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 33 syslog = Syslogd(root, new Object)

i just copied from your letter, and pasted there.

i immediatly got a set of results. looking at the first 10 returned by
www.google.com, most were either only with the question, or talked about
other errors. doing the same search in groups.google.com (formerly known
as www.deja.com/usenet, formerly known as www.dejanews.com), and viewing
the thread for each letter found, i found both possible replies - a link
to redhat's errata page, and an explanation that it might be a CD burner
problem. if i were you, i'd first try the easy solution (i.e. downloading
the updates disk) and only if it fails - try re-burning the CD.

btw, this search took about 15 minutes to find both answers. shorter then
the turnaround time on this list, and gives you a feeling of control. try
it next time.
