Subject: ssh without password

Hi everybody,

I am puzzled by the following: I have RH7.1 computers with openssh-2.5.2p2-5. I generated keys (both RSA and DSA) as a user on both, and exchanged them (~/.ssh/authorized_keys{,2} etc), with empty passphrases.

I expect to be able to log on from one computer to another without being prompted for a password (so says the man page), but I am still prompted.  Toggling PasswordAuthentication in /etc/ssh/ssh{d,}_config does not affect things. /etc/ssh/shosts.equiv doesn't help either. Can anyone enlighten me?

To clarify: authentication works fine, I log on in both directions. It's the password prompt that annoys me.

Thanks,
