Haven't had any OOPSes after I updated glibc, all the really important stuff
that I think would not take lightly to me replacing it's core libraries
(don't ask me which exactly - I don't remember, but they do include KDE :-)
and the locales. except for the librpm issues, which I'm almost 100% sure
are not glibc related the system works like magic (except, of course, for
the lousy ISDN adapter ;-)
Like I said - I installed RPMs. most things that I prefer to install binary,
and use the time I spare not watching the machine grind source lines to do
some more interesting stuff ;-)
