This is Topic's id, and the chipset (tp560i) is known to be OK.
Just for reference - did you buy it in Israel? What is the brand name
and model on the box?

The windows identification is weird, since HCF is the name of a specific
chipset from Rockwell (now, Conexant), which is controllerless, but with
a hardware DSP. It is not a generic name for winmodems.
