I have the same problem with licr: some times i rmmod it and do lsmod, and I
see a 0 size module. the only solutions for the bad written driver/kernel
module is init 6.
my first modem, was a Zoltrix pctel, and the driver I abtanied from theyre
site (!), if you want it, go to their page and d/l. currently I cannot tell
you the exact page since I have really bad connection to them. Try it
yourself. I can mail you the driver if you want. not a really big one, i
tested it on a 2.4.0 kernel and it loaded (the modem did not work, so I
cannot tell you if it is a good one or not).
http://www.zoltrix-int.com, maybe
http://www.zoltrix-int.com/support_html/modem/
enjoy.
