That's not exactly relevant. A faulty client should not be able to crash
the X server.

(And since I'm posting a message anyway: the netscape test works for me.
netscape 4.77, java & javascript disabled, XFree 4.0.3, card: i740 . I
also don't recall netscape crashing after hitting backspace. Netcape
crashing in displaying big tables is more familiar, though).

A side note:

The bidi version has been merged into mozilla's trunk a while ago. There
was a big thread about this in this list. Mozilla >= 0.91 has bidi
support, unless it was spesifically compiled with bidi disabled (for some
very strange reason. All the official builds and builds by distros use the
default of enabling bidi, AFAIK).
