Welcome to Linux (run #3) + "Insta Party" News

After a semester off with insta party and welcome to linux series, the
Haifa Linux Club will again host a welcome to linux series.

The lectures are co-ordinated with the Insta Party, which will become more
like a Linux Day - Not just installation, but 3 runs of lecture regarding
basic use (Graphical+Shell), config my sys session (people with bad
configuration, or problematic conf, etc. are invited).

The Schedule:
29/10 - Linux - Who? When? Where? introduction to what is Linux, why to
use Linux, and some requests for the insta Party.
7/11 (Wed.) - Linux Day.
12/11 - Using Linux - some basic admin show cases (RPM's, etc.)
19/11 - Networking (kppp)
26/11 - Development Tools for Linux
3/12 - Hebrew.

The lectures (besides the ones on the Linux Day) will start at 18:30 and
will be hour long, after it, more related topics, which are bit advanced
(for example, compiling kernel in the "Using Linux" lecture) will be
discussed. Thus a complete newbie can come to one hour of lecture (which
will consist more of cases studies and examples, than tutorials), and the
second hour is dedicated to more complicated questions.

Volunteers to the "Linux Day" and/or "welcome to linux", please contact me
personally (not the mailing list).
