Hi all
biditext 0.9.1 is availble:
ftp://linux.org.il/pub/Hebrew/Biditext/biditext-0.9.1.tar.gz
Major change from biditext 0.0.3: biditext is now aware of the character
set of the strings it is asked to reverse, and will only reverse hebrew
strings.
See:
ftp://linux.org.il/pub/Hebrew/Biditext/
That directory also contains binary RPMs (built on Mandrake 7.2, XFree
4.0.3, fribidi 0.1.14), which were built from the tarball using 'rpm -tb'.

For some reason it works extremly well for me with QT2 programs (I'm using
QT2.3): unlike most other programs, biditext-ed kedit/licq/whatever
actually handles editing text well. It will also handle XDrawString16(),
and thus will also handle correctly QT programs.
I have not put in the package yet any GUI for it. See a couple of them in:
http://linuxclub.il.eu.org/R2L/
Note that this version includes a small change that sets the default
directionality of the printed string according to the length of the .rev
file. If the length is 0 (what you get with a simple touch, as in the
biditext script) it uses Neutral (and not LTR) as in the original. See the
images in
http://www.mail-archive.com/lin-club%40vipe.technion.ac.il/msg00307.html
for a demonstration of that.
