There isn't exactly one "windows" way, as the bidi behaviour of different
windows versions differ a bit, I believe (can anybody confim/deny?).
Anyway, I think that the exact bidi behaviour to confirm to is the unicode
bidi algorithm, as this will be the standard (at least within the linux
world)
