I have a USR ISA PNP 56K internal
modem (sportster) and my computer is P-III 500 MHZ. redhat linux 7 does not
recognize that there is a modem at all ( /dev/modem doesn't exist ). mybe it's
because the modem isn't installed on one of the 4 standard serial ports (1 - 4).
I've seen that under win98 the resources taken by the modem are: io port 0x03e8
and irq 5.
I tried to: setserial /dev/ttyS2 irq 5 and this didn't
work.
any ideas will be
welcomed...
