The "Welcome 2 Linux" lecture series will start on next Monday 29/10/01,
18:30 in Auditurium 2 (CS. dept. bldg. Technion, Haifa). All other
lectures (besides lecture 2) will take place on Mondays, 18:30 same place.
The lecture is designated to new users (A.K.A. newbies), and will include
the following lectures:
1. Why and What Linux? (Guy Keren)
2. Basic use of Linux (will be given during the Linux-Day, 7/11/01,
12:30, 15:30, 18:30 in Rifkin. Lecturers: Shlomi Fish, Guy Keren, mulix).
3. Basic Admin. of a Linux Box (12/11, Ez-Aton)
4. Basic Networking (19/11, mulix).
5. Hebrew (26/11, Tzafrir Cohen).
6. Development Tools for Linux (3/12/01, Guy Keren).
You are all invited to series, but the lectures are mostly self-contained
(note that some things are related - finding configuration files from
lecture 3 is very useful for lecture 4).
I ask your help in the advertisement of this event, tell your
