that's because usually there is no clear winner. the better package is
better _for you_, because it answers your needs.

i think it's done here too. i seem to recall several such threads.

i think this is an excellent idea, provided several simple guidelines
are kept:

1. if you are speaking from personal experience - say so. corollary - if
you're speaking out of your a**, say that too ;) far too many people
repeat something somone told them (or worse, something they read on
slashdot...) as Holy Truth.

2. no flames, no "you're stupid", no "my foo is better than your foo".
intelligent discussion, please.

3. opinions are fine, provided they are backed by reasons. facts are
even better.
