I don't think this is correct.  Someone asked me about Linux
supporting this CD at the show.  I believe it's a MCD compatible (i.e.
it can plug into a soundblaster MultiCD card).  After much poking
around, (in CD Howto, kernel source code), it was discovered that
although it has the same interface, it needs to be controlled
differently.  So someone was working on support for it, and the
support was still alpha.

However, this was in kernel 1.2.1.  I just looked in kernel 1.2.9 and
it seems to already be supported.  So, if you upgrade to kernel 1.2.9
(or newer), you should be fine with the Teac 55A.

BTW, according to the CDROM Howto, *all* IDE CDROM drives are
supported.  The speed doesn't make any difference (in support, that
is).
