NFSs-d distribution and a question.

   Hello there

I have set up my NFS deamon to give away my /Linux directory to just
about everyone.

This directory contains the slackware distribution and a minilinux
distribution, as of yesturday. I have downloaded all this stuff from
ftp.huji, and since I need it myself for installing Linux, I decided to
share it with the rest of the world. I do not promise to keep it up, though.

My computer is ccarik.technion.ac.il, IP number 132.68.1.86. Mount
directory /Linux. Slackware is in /Linux/slackware.

AND IN EXCHANGE... could someone please tell me, how do I configure
the NFS deamon to export a file-system read-only? My /etc/exports look
like this:

# See exports(5) for a description.
# This file contains a list of all directories exported to other computers.
# It is used by rpc.nfsd and rpc.mountd.

/Linux *(ro,root_squash)

and I run the daemons in the following order:

rpc.portmap
inetd
rpc.mountd
rpc.nfsd

Yet if I create a file with 777 permissions, I can still add stuff with
the append mode to that file. Though creating a new file is replied with
a "Read only filesystem".

Help will be appreciated.
