I'm reffering to having ftp2.linux.org.il CNAME to ftp.site.co.il
CNAME to bite.site.co.il. Which is illegal as far as I remember.
CNAME records should comply at least to the following rules:
1. Have no other record under the name of the CNAME record.
2. CNAME records have to point to A records.
I'm quite sure you can put your hands on the Bind book, make use of
it. There should also be an RFC about common DNS configuration
mistakes.
