First of all, I advise you NOT use the word folder. I might be a nice
guy, but some other guys here would do crazy stuff ;-)
But seriously, they're called directories.

Seeing your files doesn't mean you can execute them. Being a different
OS (or rather, BEING an OS), means Linux can't run DOS executables.
You can use DosEMU to emulate a DOS environment and run many DOS
programs. The source code (i.e. you need to compile it) of DosEMU is
in FTP: sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/ALPHA/dosemu (or the surroundings).
