Continuing the thread of telling about one's interest in Linux:
I make a living from testing the software of embedded systems. The
systems revolve around a 8086 (or better) processor and the language is C.
I do my testing either in MS/DOS environment (using lots of stubs) or on
the target machine.
I noticed that there are lots of sexy tools for testing (does GCT strike
any note?) in Unix environment. Therefore I decided to look for an
inexpensive way to acquire Unix environment of my own - ergo Linux. I
realize that probably some of those sexy and whizzy tools have not been
ported yet to Linux, and I expect to contribute my modest share to porting
some of those tools.
The subject of making Linux distributions widely (and easily) available to
Israeli Linux users is a natural topic for Israeli Linux User's Group.
Let's discuss it by way of this mailing list and then meet if necessary to
share our distributions.
