Re: Dial up lines




You need to set up getty/mgetty/agetty in the /etc/inittab file to expect 
incoming calls. Once the call is answered, the program transfers control to 
the login program and you can login as usual.
Check the documentation of each of the above programs to find out exactly 
how to set it up. I use mgetty, which is supposed to be the easiest to use 
and most stable.
