My Netscape 2.0 have ran with full Hebrew (visual AND Implicit/Logical)
for 2 months. Most of the time since then, I spent upgrading (from Beta
J to Beta 2 to Beta 3 etc...). I hope I will complete the Hebrew for
the 5th Beta of Netscape 2.0 today so I can put it on the net.
Unfortunately, I'm afraid I will not have a version for Linux. The
reason: Most of the platforms have Netscape as a dynamically linked
executable (Solaris, Silicon-Graphics, Digital-OSF/1, IBM-AIX, etc.).
All the parts of my software that deal with bidirectionality etc.,
must be placed in the X libraries. Although the part of the fonts is
not one of those parts, I can not cut it from the package. I hope
I will succeed to convince Netscape to release a special dynamic
version for Linux (in addition to the static one).
