SHIT, man!!
couldn't you tell us something like a WEEK earlyer, or maybe two??
I thought everybody gave up on showing Linux in Ganei hataarucha!
I'll try to order a few hundred sets of Linii in FedEx tonight, and if I
can make absolute SURE I will get them on time, count me in for the whole
3 days. I suppose I'll order both RedHats and Slackwares, Alpha
installations are far from usable as far as I heard.
if anyone has a spare 486 somewhere, I can install a Netware 4.1 and
connect to it with Preview ][ of the caldera desktop (I have seen it
working, it is looking great)
yes for the DrEC PCs, better get a nice Celebris, maybe get them to give
us an XL server, one of those that come with dual pentiums (I forgot the
model name, the DEC people will know), and we can show the multiprocessor
abilities.
I am willing to lend my Matrox Card (gulp! only if the DECs don't come
with anything good, S3 is good enough... I guess), my Caldera,
my DDS2 tape and a blank cassette or two, an installation of Netware 4.1,
at least two 3COM ISA cards and quite a few 28k8 modems (as many as
needed (plug: I am selling 28k8 supras, anyone interested?)), if we can
connect with ISDN to someone, even better, but 2-3 lines of PPP in
parallel are nice too. I also have the "Linux Games ++" CD from PHT,
which is full of games, simulators, multimedia authoring and viewing
tools, and 6 other FTP mirror CDs updates to about October of GNU,
SunSite and X11. Sorry, but my precious 17" is NOT getting drivven to Tel
Aviv.
and people: next time, start this a little earlyer, so we can plan ahead!!!
