edit /etc/ppp/options, make it look like:

connect 'chat -v ABORT BUSY ABORT "NO CARRIER" "" ATZ OK ATD<phonenum> ogin <loginname> assword <yourpass> ">" pppd' asyncmap 0
crtscts
defaultroute
passive
noipdefault

this will connect you to a remote linux box. with some very little change
at the end of the login process, you can connect to a Terminal server. I
think it's pretty easy to understand what's going on here...

now create yourself a file, call it "goldppp" or something, and it will
have:

#!/bin/tcsh -f
pppd /dev/cua1 115200

(don't forget to make it executable!)

and I think that's about wraps it up. at least for pppd 2.2f, I think they
will all act the same.
