Setting up a CD ?

Hi,
I'm a new-comer to the LinuX world !

I am trying to install (I'v got a CD made by InfoMagic) and i can't seem to mount it.
I have a Teac 55A (Quad Speed) CD conneted to a 16-Bit SoundBlaster.

On the startup procedure (The BOOT diskette),
when it asks for a command I type : mount sbpcd=0x270,SoundBlaster

Afterwards the system try's to detect it and writes the folowing :

sbpcd[01] : sbpcd.c v3.6-1 ......
sbpcd[02] : scanning 0x270 (SoundBlaster)...
sbpcd[03] : Drive 0 (ID=0): CD-55 (1011) at 0x270 (type 1)
sbpcd[04] : init : ResposeStatus returns FFFFFE6C
No BIOS32 extentions present, this release still depends on it. sorry.

and then the boot procedure continues.
when i get to the SOURCE part in 'SETUP' I get an error while trying to mount the CD.

WHAT SHOULD I DO ???
i would realy like to install LinuX ...
