Hmm... thats not so true - I CAN do anything I do with Linux with any 
other operating system, but it will COST plenty of dollars to do that, 
or I'll have to steal software. I do not know another personal 
computer OS that comes with so many goodies - from Lisp to a GUI, all 
for free.

As for 'User Friendlines' - as you pointed out, it is a blessing for 
the simple user who doesn't know (or care to know) nothing about 
computers, but can become a real pain in the neck for power-users.
It sort of reminds me of the 'Hitch Hiker Guide to the Galaxy' doors 
and elevators which goes: "thank you for making a simple elevator so 
happy" every time you use them... remember those? ;-)
