Re: SCO Unix vs. Linux

errrr.....

a few of my cents abotu commercial UNIX's.

A. solaris x86 2.5 AND BSDi are very fine UNIX systems, however, a GOOD
configured linux box doens't fall behind. (good - NOT as it comes with
redrat/slackware - but a box someone who knows his way arround worked on).

B. Solaris is SysV so I personally prefer it over BSDi - though I thignk BSDi
is bugless.

C. donno where you got the prices from, alexander, but last time _I_ checked,
BSDi cost arround 500$, and Solaris x86 2.5 costs approx 2000$.... which is
much more expensive - and hardly worth the money....

Ofer.
