Re: so far...

|In retrospect, a big sign saying LINUX on CD ONLY $XX would have been

Done by Ira this morning.

|Absolutely. Shall we have our 1 and only group bylaw:
|
| To exhibit at a show, notice *must* be given to the entire group
| within 8 weeks prior to the start of the show.

As soon as we hear about this would be a good time for first notice.

|Make that *two* bylaws. Here's the second:
|
| To exhibit at a show, the money to cover *all* costs (booth, phone
| lines, etc.) *must* be raised within 4 weeks prior to the start of
| the show.

I'd second that too.

|
|After wrestling with Alpha's for 2 days, here's a third:
|
| All equipment on display at the show must be delivered with Linux &
| X installed and running. If you'd like to display hardware on
| which linux has not yet been installed, you *must* contact the user's
| group for information on precisely what hardware configurations are
| supported at least 3 weeks prior to the start of the show. If
| you'd like us to help you get linux running on the machine, we
| *must* be notified at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the show,
| and *must* be given access to the equipment at that time.

Also - decide a-preiory exactly what software and what revisions to install.
Install everything possible on all machines - today I tried to show someone
"top" and got an exception because it didn't match. I also couldn't know
what's on the disk (where is ddd, for instance?).

|
|Maybe a good idea...

We looked at other shows. It's nice to have kids and semi-pros join
us as well.
