well, I have about 10 of them, so I think a know what I am tolking about.
Y must remember thet the fact that a modem has the same model no' dosnet 
meen it's the same one. The Rockell chip, which is in the Boca modem is 
evolving, so does the modem bios. All I've sed is that some Rockell based 
modem have some problem with class 2 implemention, a well known fact !
as for your personal one - good, most people will never experiance a 
problem with there Boca modems.

So far no one mentioned CAS modem. Still the best imolemention of fax for 
the pc, but infortunatly not supported under Linux (I think I saw an add 
in one of the magazins for a comertial prodect. cant remember the name)
CAS modem include meny greate fax card like the Intel SatisFaxtion, the 
best fax card I ever had, gave it away as it doesnt run under Linux.
