That doesn't matter which distribution you use - all are supporting ELF nowdays.
You may inquire which port of Motif is the best one. If you look through
articles in the comp.os.linux.x newsgroup, you'll find there a few arguments
everyday on this topic - with pros & cons for any vendor - mainly pros, in fact,
cons are very few and far between.
My own prefernce is Metrolink's. I haven't heard of any app, which was
successifully compiled with some other _Linux_ Motif and failed with
Metrolink's. On the other hand, I'm aware of at least 2 cases when the opposite
was true. Also, I've got an impression, that most commercial apps have been
ported to Linux using this port of Motif, but I may be wrong in this point. Take
into account though, that ML is 1.5-2 times more expensive, that others (in
average). Once again, all this is just MHO (only `M' and very `H' :))
