The reference that someone mentioned here
(http://bavard.fourmilab.ch/speakfree/windows and
http://bavard.fourmilab.ch/speakfree/unix) supposedly run on both
Linux and MS Windows and can interoperate.  I'm planning on testing it
out soon...

However, the c/net review claimed that speak_freely doesn't support
ppp under MS Windows.  In other words, that one cannot dial up the
net, connect via ppp, and then fire up speak_freely to talk to someone
- one must have a dedicated connection.  But, firstly, there might be
a newer version out now, and secondly, I'm not sure I believe this...
