Directions for the meeting place
I see from Erez' page that directions for the meeting place are in order.
The place is called "Tel-Aviv Yaffo Academic College" and it is
at 4 Antokolsky st., very close (1 minutes walk) to the Even-Gvirol/
Arlozerov junction.
By car:
From the south: get off Ayalon at Arlozerov, turn to Tel-Aviv (cross
the bridge over Ayalon) now you have three main options:
1. get into the train station and park near it (I think it is free
at these hours, if not then it's only 4 NIS for all night) and take
the instructions for bus-arrivals (later).
2. drive on into Arlozerov, count the turns - at the 4th turn on the
left (or 6th turn on the right), counting Namir rd. as '1'. turn LEFT
into Bloch. then 1st turn right, next right (no other choice) then
left into Antokolsky. After turning from bloch start looking for a
parking place. The parking lot of the college *might* be also open.
(free). At antokolsky, the college will be hiden by a green hedge on
your left. After passing it you can turn left to continue looking for
a parking space, or get into Arlozerov and follow the instr. in option
3.
3. like option 2 but instead of turning from Bloch on the first
turn, continue on to Even-Gvirol (you'll see Rabin Sq. in front of
you) then turn right and again right on the THIRD turn back into
Arlozerov, then you'll see a parking lot on your right. Park there
and just across the lot from the entrance you'll see the college.
(this is because it is impossible to U-turn in Arlozerov/Even-Gvirol
junction).
4. BUS: take 480, walk along Arlozerov until you see a parking lot
on your left (about ten minutes walk, just before Even-Gvirol), the
building of the Histadrut will be on your right, cross the parking lot
and you'll be at the entrance to the college.
>From the north:
1. turn right from Namir rd. into Arlozerov and follow the
instructions above.
2. turn off-Namir road (e.g. at Ha-Halacha or Rokach) and left into
Even-Gvirol, so when you reach Arlozerov you can turn left and into the
previously-mentioned parking lot.
3. If you are using Ayalon south just remember that you can't get off
at Arlozerov, you'll have to get off at Ha-Halacha and choose as above.
*NOTICE*: After 17:00 (5:00 PM), you should NOT park near
white-markings, they are reserved for area residents. Park (free)
near blue-white markings.
The college doesn't appear in Dapei-Zahav's map, but the block it
is in is among Shtruk and Lilyan (sp?) streets.
I can try to fax an enlarged map of the area (from "Mapa" of Gush Dan)
if you ask me before Monday morning (and give a fax number).
May the gasoline be with you...
Cheers,
