Computax stuff

Hi, all.

I have several comments regarding stuff.
About httpd/Netscape: I sincerely don't think there's any need for
httpd. I think the only client we should use that would be able to
use httpd's caching will be Netscape - who wants to see Lynx anyway?
I think Netscape provides a great graphical interface to the Web and
we should stick to it. Also - people have been referring to 5
computers through one 28K line, and I don't think this is the case.
I think we should have a MAXIMUM of 2 computers demonstrating Linux
networking prowess: The others should be reserved for multimedia,
emulation, multi-tasking, etc. This will get a LOT of load off the
line and would be easier too.
I support the Netscape cache concept, though - go through the demo
pages before the meeting and it would retrieve everything quickly later.

We have to choose which computer does what, according to its resources.
Strongest one should do either multi-media or multi-tasking, of course.
I hope we decide on all this on Monday.

I have a few suggestions concerning a multi-media computer -
I've experience with playing MIDs, MODs and S3Ms (the latter two are
very important - digital music. Use S3MOD), and we should have
a computer run that. Also, Workman is a necessity, and video too (although
I have no idea how to play it... ;-)).

Emulation: Anyone who knows his way well around Dosemu and going to be
there on Tuesday? Ariel and I will probably be there, but only in the
afternoon... Also, the Executer person - make sure that either you're
there, or the people at the booth know exactly how to demonstrate it
or it will be a flop...
