why not higher?

anyway, my friend Shvat compiled here (luke.gilo.jlm.k12.il) not long ago
the 1.3.45. this computer's card is an Intel, which is only beta
supported (but acts like worse) and for some reason the Kernel's IP
routing module used to freeze whenever we asked it to route both serial
and LAN interfaces...

ANYWAY... luke is also our modem server, and to get PPP we would connect,
rlogin -8 -e to another computer (3COM, what else) and get propper PPP...
the new kernel solved this!

PPP since the last few versions of the kernel comes from the kernel
itself and not pppd. you need to compile the new pppd, which only acts as a
mediator for the initial handshake and not the entire session (mail me if
you want ready binaries attached)

oops... while I write, PINE beeps me that you sent mail to the list...
maybe you solved it? NM, maybe someone else will benefit...
