If the sendmail is installed and started(maybe in /etc/rc.d/rc.M) then the
mail should work between the linux and the aviion in both direction
without any changes in /etc/sendmail.cf. It is possible that the DNS(name
service,BIND) is not setup correctly, if that is the case, then try the
following:

- cd /usr/src/sendmail/cf

- mv /etc/sendmail.cf /etc/sendmail.cf.orig

- m4 linux.nodns-smtp.mc >/etc/sendmail.cf

- restart the sendmail.

Mail outsite is something else and there is not enough info. in the above
to help you. What is the setup at your site, how is the linux connected to
the Aviion, how is the site connected to the Internet, mail hub/relay,
name server, firewall, etc.

The best way is to speek with your Internet provider, there are many
possibilities and probably that you would have to learn something about
the mail setup in the process.
