Re: fvwm startup script and seyon in hebrew
In message <F255634E06@hagiga.jct.ac.il> you write:
|regarding the fvwm startup - just edit the xinitrc fil
|/usr/X11/lib/X11/xinit/xinitrc . there you decide which window
|manager to start and in what configuration. For example if you want
|to start with an xterm in fvwm put these two lines at the end of your
|xinitrc
|fvwm &
|xterm
I'd consider this a bit of an ill-advice. the file you mention is
system-wide and editing this will cause two things:
1. All users logging in to the system will have the same setup (unless
they are smart enough to setup their own environment)
2. The files are likely to get overwriten next time you install the
system.
The right place is .xsession in your home directory. Read "man X" for
a start.
And a general note to Ilan: try reading manuals and FAQ's before
posting questions. I don't think the intention of this list was to
become an AI interface to the on-line manual pages which should be
available on any decent Linux system (this goes both for this
question, setting up PPP, serial communications (previous posting) and
practically all the other question you asked, as far as I remember)
