Re: UpComing COMPUTAX
Hi, all.
There have been questions concerning how my BBS is operating.
To those of you who do not know, I have a BBS working 24hrs a day,
14.4K BPS, offering Linux Slackware 2.1 + HOWTOS regardless of so-called
time limits (thing popular in BBSs ;-)). In any case, people are
showing interest in it, and about 10 people have downloaded sizable
chunks. Some more have also showed interest. I'm mainly interested
in recruiting the population NOT on Internet (since those of us who
are don't really need it), and I think having more BBSs to support Linux
would be great (for other phone areas).
The number, by the way, is 02-435-176.
Would anyone please give out all details concerning Computax? E.G. Where,
when, where we (Linux group) stand, and everything else? Thanks.
I think we should vote on the time and date of the next Linux-IL meeting.
Many of us are here in Jerusalem too, and it should be a democratic
vote. I am therefore (oops) kamikazing (to use Marc's vocabulary) in
receiving all votes.
Please send mail to roji@cs.huji.ac.il with the lines:
Place: <place>
Date: <date>
I think the options for <place> are pretty much Jerusalem (in where
we have a room), Tel-Aviv (anyone?), and somewheres north (Haifa?).
Also, vote if you don't mind (so I KNOW you don't mind).
Expecting to have my mailbox blow up in the up-coming future,
Shay
Good luck to all of us,
The chance of an event happening is inversly
proportional to the general desire of it
doing so.
