Finally I have a question!

Hi everyone-

I have 2 short questions. I find that now when I use my kermit once I
have troubles using it again as I get /usr/spool/uucp/LCK..ttyS2 and
/usr/spool/uucp/LCK..modem. If I use cntrl c after the kermit command, it
gets into kermit and all is well. This is a new phenomonon anyone know how I
can prevent it?

Next, lately I get in the boot "lp1 out of paper"
and subsequently in /usr/adm/messages (or /var/adm/messages) I get a lovely
line printed out EACH minute:

Jul 15 01:44:40 mahler last message repeated 6 times
Jul 15 01:45:40 mahler last message repeated 6 times
Jul 15 01:46:40 mahler last message repeated 6 times
Jul 15 01:47:40 mahler last message repeated 6 times
Jul 15 01:48:40 mahler last message repeated 6 times
Jul 15 01:49:40 mahler last message repeated 6 times
Jul 15 01:50:40 mahler last message repeated 6 times
Jul 15 01:50:50 mahler kernel: lp1 out of paper
Jul 15 01:50:58 mahler su: danowitz on /dev/ttyp1
Jul 15 01:51:00 mahler kernel: lp1 out of paper

Anyone know what I did to activate the printer (which I don't have). Also, may
one empty the /usr/adm/messages file (sort of like garbage collection)
periodically or even erase the file (and have the system remake it each time)?

Thanks-- Jeff :)
