I don't know what ISPs around the world do, but the 12 in Israel (sorry!
11, Dataserve is out of business...) use mainly UNIX. The most
popular platforms are (unordered): Sun, Silicon-Graphics, RS-6000.
2 use Macs, but only in addition to stronger UNIXes. Mac as an
additional machine is very useful, because it is used for publishing
too (when NT will have Hebrew support, Macintosh will have a severe
problem in Israel).
