I might me confused here, but does it mention anywere "Debian 1.0"?
If so then this is a version mastered without Debian's appruval and
Debian's site specifically warned people that it isn't good. That is
why the first official release of Debian was called 1.1, to avoid
confusion with this specific CD set.
Look at Debian's site for more info (www.debian.org, where else? :)
Besides that, Me and Yigal havd some up-to-date Debian CD's floating
around. (1.1.11, 1.1.10 and 1.1.8, as far as I remember). Using a
relatively old version isn't a disaster since you can keep updating
what you want from the net after installing the bulk from the CD (just
like I do, I never had to re-install Linux ever since I installed
Debian 0.93R6).
