I run Linux (2.0.10 now, just upgraded from 1.3.100) with X11 and 20Mb
of RAM on a 486/66DX2 and hardly use the swap (use it only when
compiling heavily).

I think I remember that these 4 Mb between 16 and 20 used to be
essential for good X11 performance.

As for re-partitioning the disk - I'll comment about the other replys
you got in a moment.
