System Administrator Needed.
I need a system administrator for the office. I figured I'd email to
the list since we almost exclusively use Linux in the office (the
secretary sometimes types Hebrew letters in MS Windows :).
We have a net of a dozen machines, 486s & pentiums. One is an
ip-masquerading firewall onto a net which eventually connects us to a
net in NYC, another is the secretary's machine. The remainder are
stand-alone developer workstations used for developing financial
analysis libraries in C & Fortran. We're also planning on getting a
frame relay connection to an office in Jerusalem, and planning to
eventually get a dedicated line to the internet (we currently dial up
& use ip-masquerading). All machines were recently upgraded to RedHat
3.0.3, so future upgrading & maintenance shouldn't be too painful.
We mostly work in English, and I don't speak Hebrew, so good English
is required. Other than that, the more experienced you are, the more
I'm interested. Also, this being Linux, the better your programming
skills, the better off we'll be. And, if you want to do alot of
programming as well as system administration, I have various
programming projects that you could work on.
Please call me, or email or mail or fax me a CV if you're interested.
Thanks,
Harvey Stein
