ATAPI/IDE CD-ROM
Hi all!
I have "Optical Storage Dolphin 8001" ATAPI/IDE CD-ROM.
I have compiled new linux 1.2.8 kernel where I have include support for ISO9660 file system and IDE/CDROM's. Compilation completed successfully.
When I boot the new kernel I have message about ATAPI/IDE cdrom on hdb with no warnings. After that kernel tryes to find CD and can't do this independently
if there is CD in CD-ROM or not. Manual mounting does not have success either - I have message like "incorrect fs, /dev/cdrom is busy or other error".
When I try to configure my CD-ROM by setup program and give it a chance to detect CD-ROM's location - this fails.
Under DOS/Windows CD-ROM is working just fine.
If somebody have been successful with this kind of CD-ROM, I'll be thankfull for any help. Preferebly I would wont to be able to comile the right kernel by myself.
Thanks in advance,
