Show status.
Well, we were there until 3am setting up! The good news is that we
*finally* got Linux running on the AlphaStation 255! I'm told that
this is a first - they say that alpha at the convention is the first
AS255 to *ever* run linux! Still haven't managed to get X running,
though. The booth looks nice too. As well as donating 2 Alphas, 2
pentiums, and 2/3 of the cost of the booth, Digital also donated the
booth fixings, including the booth frame and the signs, which say
DIGITAL LINUX in big letters, as well as all the cool things you can
do under Linux.
Additional good news - netvision is two booths over, and are letting
us hook into their lan & use their internet connection - half a T1!!!!
As for the bad news, as of 3am there still was lots of work to be
done. Various machines had linux running to varying levels. The
Matrox cards were giving us headaches. Haven't even started hooking
all the machines up on the ethernet.

It's 10:50. I just talked to Ira. The netvision link is ONLINE!!!!
The cable hanging from the rafters is holding up!
Expect a message from him shortly regarding the last minute up to date
boot status, as well as a list of things still needed at the show.
