It is not clear what the problem is, are you trying to telnet from the 
ethernet to your local Linux box? The question is - is your machine 
'registered' on that ethernet? does it have a DNS, routing etc. entries?
The config files seem fine though I hadn't checked them closely, the 
problem probably is at the remote end.
Actually, since the exact situation is a bit unclear, consider reposting 
with more details so we can get a better picture of the thingos.
