Hi !
I think that's not so bad idea to try to copy the files to hard-disk ,
install Slackware from Harddrive and after compile the kernel that will
support your d-ROm .I saw at least 3-4 computers that wasn't abl to
recognize thew CD-ROM with any of the variants of 1.2.13 ,but do it
really well with 1.3.20 (an experimental one ,but prtty stable and
also installed by Slackware 3.0.0 ) ,Or you can try to wait for
Slakware 96 ,that will be out in couple of months ( who wrote me about
it ,can't remember ... ) that will install kernel 2.0.0 ,that also
stable and also supports mor hardware than 1.2.13 .

Question to all : Anybody seen the phenomeon ,that Linux recognizes the
CD ,works
with it ,but if you begin to copy some large files hangs withh copy ,
but other processes is OK ?
I see it last friday with 1.3.20 and One 8X CDROM (Can't remember
the name ,maybe OPTi ,or someething ... )

The last and COMPLITELY off-topic :Last X-Files was not so bad isn't it ?

                       Meir .
