Re: Reminder - send me Hebrew info.
Thanks for the info.
I have a couple questions. I'm familiar with tex--xet & how it works,
but not with pico. How exactly does it handle mixed language
(Hebrew/English) editing & bidirectionality? I presume that the
reason it can't use tex--xet is that the Hebrew is inserted (into the
buffer & into the file) from right to left. Is this the case?
Someone mentioned writing something simple to reverse just the Hebrew
(in an effort to convert pico files to tex--xet format). I don't see
how this could work without actually parsing the TeX commands, since
in tex--xet you can be in Hebrew mode and/or in English mode due to
various (nestable) commands. What do you think?
What exactly is kermit with Hebrew support? Does this just mean that
the high end of the 8 bit ascii codes get mapped to Hebrew characters?
Does it also have a "Hebrew" mode which paints the screen from right
to left instead of left to right? If so, it would only be suitable
for English *or* Hebrew, but not for mixed language things. Is this
the case?
Thanks,
Harvey
