Re: new mailing list server

Hi.

Here is my feedback on the last few threads.

I absolutely agree with moving the list to cs.huji. I think we've had enough
of non-standard mailing list servers (resulting in 5^25 UNSUBSCRIBE messages
per week), not to mention the maintenance problems. I'm sure Ariel will
have more time to look after the list. This also means that until we
get the go from Ariel we can't write out the cards and fliers. I also
think the card should have both the Weizmann URL and the subscription method.
Plus, whoever's doing the cards, let's have a cute and small Linux logo
in the corner (tons of 'em on the net).

Splitting the list will be a grave mistake. I'd like to remind the group
that it was done, and it has no use whatsoever. Also, remember that except
Computax times, this list doesn't have that much traffic (except UNSUBSCRIBE
and "unknown address" messages). You would also create much confusion
for newbies (as Yaron said) and you'd bar them from the advanced topics
(as Chen said), not to mention give us a headache. I feel very well with the
structure of the list as it is, and see no reason to change it.
