Back in Chicago, the Linux community takes part in an organization called
CLAP, (chicago lascivious anarchic prostitutes, or some such slogan)
which holds informal monthly meetings in a place called Pete's Pizza.

The purpose of these meetings is for Linux/UNIX/Computer professionals
to network and form a real life community where they can offer advice,
assistance, trade war stories (I've been hacking so long, I only used
*0's* instead of 1's and 0's, etc.), discreetly ask questions that would be
flamed until they are nice and crispy if asked on a mailing list, etc.

There is not much forethought or organization involved.
For example, they simply meet the second Thursday of every month in a set
location (ex: Pete's Pizza) at a really big table and eat, drink, and argue.

If Linux-IL cannot agree to form an Amuta, this is a much easier way to
form a solid Linux community.
Perhaps one month a restaurant in Jerusalem, the next a restaurant in
Tel-Aviv?

This could become an official event of the Linux-IL community.

Anyone interested?
