Please note that you'd want the DNS to be on a common point. i don't think
a non-profitable system should be used for that, since it won't be fixed
if it falls down in the middle of the night, for example. so where will
you put the primary name server?
sounds like on ira's system if the web site is also there - unless you'll
find a service provider that will be willing to put up DNS for you
without earning anything (only euronet might be relevant here).

the FTP site won't be able to run over a 64KB link if it's indeed a 10GB
system, unless the UPDATES are much smaller then that... a 64KB link can
get up to 20GB/month... so making the mirror initially would take a LOT.
also note the disk space will cost few thousand dollars one time fee - i
don't yet see who'll invest this. its about 1000-1300$ for a 4GB disk, add
to that a controler if needed, etc..
for now - i suggest to forget the FTP mirroring idea, and take things
slower - first take www , then take berlin...
a point about the web site: you'll need to check the details of the desing
of plasma-gate site, and how to move it entirely to the new site - fi ti
uses server side include or weizman-local cgi scripts, it'll make things
harder... i could help with that if needed as a one-time project. but
probably ira and evgeny could handle it better in this case.
