Re: Yet another Israeli Linux WWW server

In message <1CC69C726A3@hagiga.jct.ac.il> you write:

|Hi:
|
|As you have noticed in the message to the list, I am willing to mirror
|the howtos (or at least to bring them over) at cs huji's www/ftp site.
|
|I thought of 2 other options in the meantime:
|1. Do you have place under your server? It's better if everything is under
|a single place.

I back this motion too. Allready too much to have more than one site
when many people won't know about the new site (I'm not saying that
the new site is not welcome - on the contrary, but you might want to
consider having a link between the macom site and yours)

|2. Doesn't technion have a full set of howtos?

A more important question - is the Technion's copy REGULARLY UPDATED?

And a third question - what about mirroring Slackware?

Also - can anyone of the dozens of members of Linux-IL provide a disk
for mirroring ALL of sunsite? (don't look at me - I don't even have
my own XT (yet :-))

Also - Ariel - if you mirror HTML'ized papers - you might have to
update the URL's contained in them to point to the mirror site itself
(I think I noticed that some of the HTML'ized papers on ftp.switch.ch
point back to sunsite).

I suppose I can hack something in Perl5 to do this for you if the need
arises.

Cheers,
