Well, our setup is the exact same thing here in Leyada. However, you
don't even have to mess around with POP, depending on your setup. Mercury
acts as an SMTP server and client, and communicates with Pegasus mail
over Novell itself. Therefore, unless you insist that all mail be
sent to a Unix system and be fetched by POP, you can have Mercury handle
it and Pegasus mail will automatically get it (without even a need for
POP passwords etc.). The POP server exists so that someone would be
able to read the mail from outside the LAN. So, I recommend you just
use Mercury and Pegasus. If you need any help, say so (although it's
very simple).

Oh, and one more thing - this setup IS more secure than most Unix system
where mail is concerned. I can always telnet manually to port 25 and
talk SMTP, but in our setup port 25 is blocked (on router level) for
all machines BUT the Novell server. And since Pegasus Mail gets the
username directly from Novell, I haven't yet figured out a way to fake
mail.
