just a tuny clarification...
_I_ ordered, and I want to get a return on my investment here :-)
of course, quite a sum of my profits will go into the booth (I hope about
a 1000 NIS or more, but it might also be less, depends on the prices I'll
fix and interest in the crowd)
InfoMagic have indeed just announced a brand new edition, but regretably
it will be off the press only on april 30th, so I increased my order in
cheapbytes to 100 of each of the two CDs. (200, for those who don't have
bc handy)
the Slackware set has the FULL slackware 3.0 installation, but little of
the sources, because the rest of the CD is apperently taken up by RedHat
2.0 (yuck!), while the second CD has about the same Slackware (little or
no sources) but with web servers, ready CGI scripts and tools, HTMLs,
sources, and some GIFs, backgrounds and Icons etc. I think I can sell
them easely, I hope also for a good price.
btw, 100 CDs will come without jewl cases, so I am going to buy some of
those too.
as for Gilad's question about the cards... I can design something nice in
Word (fonts, positioning and all) but generally what I think it should
say is more or less:
Linux
The Choice of a GNU Generation!
The Israeli User Group
can be contacted through a mailing list
usage: Mail maiser@hagiga.jct.ac.il
text: 'sub linux-il', 'unsub linux-il' or 'help'
remember, THIS time, people will BUY the CDs, will install them at home,
and since everybody has Internet accounts, we WILL be flooded with kiddie
questions (remember NOT to demonstrate POP clients in the show :-), I
sugest we move the list, ASAP, to another server, some stable LINUX based
majordomo, before the show. I am game, I think we can safely offer gilo's
server for this task, what do you say, Oori?
JCT guys, please don't take it personally, but it DOES seem you are just
a little too busy to handle the list as it is...
