Supposing you have created the device file /dev/hda2, all you have to do
to mount it properly is add the following to your /etc/fstab:
/dev/hda2 /NameOfYourMountPoint ext2 defaults 12
As for a natural/logical name for NameOfYourMountPoint - well, that
depends. If you really want it to contain /usr or /home for instance,
the right thing is to call it /usr or /home, naturally ;-)
The problem is you already have these directories.
What you can do is rename /usr to /usr-old, mount /dev/hda2 as /usr and
then move /usr-old to /usr, not forgetting to preserve all ownerships,
permissions, symbolic links, etc. Read the man pages for mv or cp, to
see how this should be done.
