Including devices, special files, hard links, procs, FIFOs and
fifos, hardware configurations, different kernel configurations,
etc. ???
I must say that it sounds very strange...
If all the installations were equivalent, the distributers could
sell CD-ROMs that should not be installed on disk, and the disk
could be reserved for user files... They could sell ready Linux
hard disks (with the first partitions reserved for Windows 95...).
Plug (the disk) and play.
