lp on dual homed

Hi,
Using a lilo entry like:

# Linux bootable partition config begins
image = /vmlinuz
  append  = "lp=0x378,0"
  root = /dev/hda1
  label = tango
  read-only # Non-UMSDOS filesystems should be mounted read-only for checking
# Linux bootable partition config ends

you can get the kernel to find the polling printer on IRQ5 during boot.
On a dual homed host, one of the following append lines should work
instead of the above append line:

  append = "lp=0x378,7 reserve=0x360,32 ether=11,0x360,eth1"
  append = "lp=0x378,0,0x378,7 reserve=0x360,32 ether=5,0x360,eth1"
  append = "lp=0x378,0 reserve=0x360,32 ether=5,0x360,eth1"

In fact, none of them work. They all result in the message:
"lp: Driver configured but no interfaces found." written to syslog
before initialization of the sound card.

Why should this be? Is this a stupid syntax error?
