We already have had this talk some time ago... We should NOT split the
list for several good reasons. I am sorry for you people out there who
are not interested in the amuta and other things, but I do NOT agree
to split the list.

I'd like to remind everyone that providing support is not ALL this list
does. We are here to help Linux around, and Ariel's message about <18
members is exactly what I'm talking about. Giving these young people
the feeling they're welcome to meetings and that we feel they're important
is on of our prime goals, in my opinion. Besides, the traffic on this
list only peaks during very special times, such as before a show or
in this case the discussion regarding an amuta. Otherwise, the list is
usually pretty quiet and only technical conversations occur.

As several people said, even if some lurkers are not specifically
interested in advancing Linux, they still want (and should) to be
able to listen in on our conversation. I do not want this list to
turn into a place for technical conversations ONLY. We're a community,
people. It also serves to get the spirit across to newbies who'd only
subscribe to this list (not an administrative one).

Let's drop this issue once and for all. Or rather, let's talk about
it at the meeting (26th, TA area).
