Soldiers and Amutot
Dear Friends,
Enough about soldiers and amutot! There is no problem with soldiers and amutot.
There is also no problem with soldiers being in the mifkad of any legal
political party. The problem is with soldiers, on duty and in uniform
engaging in political activity such as rallies, demonstrations, and
organizational work for a political party. This does not apply to our
amuta which will not be political (just mystical maybe) and will welcome
participation by all people regardless of nationality, race, sex, age,
religion, health, IQ, body weight, or bad breath.
The intent of the law is not to restrict the rights of citizens who
happen to be serving in the army. The intent of the law is to protect
the army from politicization and interference in the political process.
You don't need a laywer for this question.
IMHO,
