There are different approaches to the problem (where to put a swap). If we're
talking about single swap partition, it could be better to put swap as close as
possible to the most heavily accessed partition (usually with /usr on it). If
there're two such actively used partitions, I'd put the swap in between. A swap
access acceleration due to its position at the end of disk could be cancelled by
an extra time heads need to path to it. Also, some sysadm's put /usr/lib and
/usr/bin at the end of /usr partition to be faster & closer to the swap.
