You're not giving enough info.  What are you running on the DOS side that
you think should give you hebrew?  What comm prog do you use that *does*
give you hebrew?  I get the impression you're trying to maintain
compatability with some existing system (or at least an exisiting spec),
but you're not saying what it is.

One possible problem you may be having is that your comm prog is
interpreting the high ascii (226-250, which are the hebrew aleph-bet) as
high ascii, and so refuses to display those characters (or translates them
to something in the 0-128 range).
