slip/cslip/ppp SERVER - anybodey?
Arik,
There is a dip program that will let you do both in/out with SLIP and if you
got the latest version also with PPP. look at the man page of dip to get more
Information. Here is a list of papers that I would read before any other steps:
1. man dip
2. man pppd
3. man inittab
4. less /usr/doc/dip/*
5. less /usr/doc/getty_ps/README.linux
6. less .... Serial-HOTO
7. man cu
8. There are few other HOWTO files that I would look at but I don't remember
their exact names.
This mail assumes that the server PC will run linux.
If you like to run SLIP client from your home pc and you don't have Linux
at home, then you might check the 'trumpet' package which should be a TCP/IP
client for dos. (I'll check it in few days, I need it for work).
I hope it helps.
