()I'm against the idea of charging for the installation party. Linux is
()free. Our time and work isn't, but nobody is forcing anyone to come
()to the list. Making it commercial would make things ugly and destroy
()the spirit. Not to mention that, like many people pointed out, people
()would have a right to expect quick service and will start nagging
()and getting angry. I think Amos's idea about asking for money is good,
()since most people will probably give some anyway, but not demanding it.
()
charging money for the installation , is not only for the people .
it is also for ILUG.
I know that people will not refuse to pay some money , just to save them
the time about learning how to install linux and so ...
another thing is that I disagree with you that it will destroy the spirit,
it will not destroy anyhting , we can tell them that the money is for good
cause and I am sure they will understand.it will only help us to have some
money.
asking money from beople is like baging for money , this is somthing we should
not do , this is somthing that you never do in real life ...
you never say - give me as much as you want ,this is a bad thing to do .
it is not for free and it does not have a price ????
each one should pay the same price ! if you dont set a price you will allways
think that people gave too few , and they will think they gave too much ...
( I know that we are not like this , but we dont know the people we deal with).
I say charge them , and give them the best service we can give,,,
We will mention that it can take awile ...
(should we accept credit cards ???). ;-)
