The URL is: ftp://ftp.cs.helsinki.fi/pub/Software/Linux/Kernel/v1.3/, but
if you are not subscribed to the kernel whatever list it might not be
such a good idea.
If you insist ...
On 1.3.5n the /proc has changed, so that you will have to upgrade procps
to 0.99, SysVinit to ?(or at least the /sbin/killall5). Also ppp needs to
be upgraded to 2.2.0e.
The most stable, in my experience, is 1.3.57. Do not even touch 1.3.58.
1.3.59 was released by Linus from the US and it still has problems compiling
the sound drivers and instability in the vm/buffer/swap code. There are
additional patches for 1.3.59 on
ftp://ftp.dcs.ed.ac.uk/pub/sct/linux/1.3.59/ (Alan Cox ?), but I have not
tried them myself.
