Overclocking a P200...



Just to show Ira that not only Cyrix can do -
I decided tonight to try the unusual Bus Frequencies of my Asus board,
so I changed it from the standard 66MHz to 83 point something MHz, and
lowered the Freq. Ratio from 3 to 2.5. The result - I now have a Pentium
208.8, with an exceptionally high bus speed. Got about 11% increase in
performance, according to the BYTE Unix Benchmarks.
By the way, I checked the new configuration extensively, and with
conservative BIOS settings it works perfectly both under Linux and
Win95.
Asus deserve their reputation, it seems ;-)
