(Check out the html version of this announcement on the Linux-IL page)

Version 2.0 : Proving That Hacking Chicken Is More Difficult Than Hacking
a Kernel

The next Linux Dinner will be on January 9th, 1997, 7:30pm.

It will be a home cooked meal at Gilad Ben-Yosef's place.

YOU MUST RSVP!!!! Email vnavrat@luc.edu ahead of time to tell us you're
coming, or don't come. It's important we know how much food to cook.

Directions below.
------------------------------------------------------
Le Menu

Kosher Chicken will be served, along with a variety of kosher salads and
side dishes. If need or desire arises, we will order a kosher pizza.
Oh yeah, and lots of good wine too. We will make your stomach happy, or
I'll be tied to a chair and forced to successfully edit a file using vi
on a 386. (the beeping!!! it's driving me maaaaad!!!)

All inquiries as to the level of kashrut being observed should be
addressed to Ira Abramov (ira@scso.com).
Any and all volunteers willing to bring a plate or bowl of stuff
(read: please! please! please! please! please! please! please!)
should email Viki Navratilova or Ira Abramov ahead of time to make
sure we aren't stuck with 20 bowls of hummus and pita.

All you people that don't like eating almost alive chickens and moo-cows
(Chen, Ariel, you too Roji?) would do well to bring something that you
will eat, or tell us about your dietary convictions and we'll do our best
to accomodate you.

-----------------------------
What to bring:

30 NIS to cover the cost of the ingredients and wine, etc.
All the extra funds will be used towards the next Computax booth.
We will need help in the side dish and dessert department, so
email V. Navratilova (vnavrat@luc.edu)

if you are willing to donate.

---------------------------------------
Where the hell is this one?

At Gilad Ben-Yosef's house. We should all bring a small farm animal to
sacrifice in gratitude, or for dinner.

Directions are as follows, but keep in mind that Gilad is currently
working on a CGI transporter script which instantaneously transports
Linux users from Tel-Aviv's main bus station to his house.
In case his coding falls through, people without cars should email me
vnavrat@luc.edu and we'll see who
will be able to manually fly people from the Tel-Aviv bus station via
shuttle craft.

Address:
Gilad Ben-yossef
Ha Megila 37 street
Neve-Hof (a.k.a "Pooablo Espaniol")

If you are coming via Ayalon route from Geha (toward Ashdod), you should
get off in the "Rishon Bridge", turn left, drive forward - *no turns*,
for about 10 minutes (depends how fast you drive ;-) untill you see to
your right a gas station. you take the *second* turn right, then first
turn right. Make a left at the end of the street and you are in the
Megila st. search for number 37 and (hopefuly) - you're there. Well,
actually you'll be HERE, but nm... (g)

Sooo...drive safely, bring your appetite, bathe, and RSVP.
