To sum up what I got from the Linux PPP HOWTO and manual pages, here
is what I have:
1. The relevant lines from the ppp options file:
This specifies the host name I connect as:
user yigal
name yigal
ipcp-accept-remote # accept the address of the remote side as given
# by the NT
192.116.210.65: # specify the local side's address
noipdefault # so ppp doesn't try to get smart and guess the
# address of the remote side.
4. in the "pap-secrets" file I have a line like:
yigal * <password>
Which means I login as user "yigal" and his password.
Hope this helps.
