Unless I am mistaken, there are some problems with this idea:

1. The machine is fairly expensive ($2000-$2500 last I heard, can anyone
   authenticate the price?

2. If it _is_ bought and with generally contributed money, where will it
be located? Jerusalem? TA? Heifa? At whose home? How will the 'LIL'
prevent it from being used to copy commercial CD-ROM's (and this IS
VERY important!)? What happens if there's a conflict?
3. Can anyone quote the price for blank media?

My dear chap, THAT's OS/2 :-).

I suspect that it is NOT! The _distributions_ are commercial and work
was done to assemble them. I suggest making our own set of Sunsite mirror
and distribution (the best course here would be to ask Patrik Volkerdink
about Slakware and the BOGUS people about their distrib).

ftp.cs.huji.ac.il should soon have the most recent Slakware and about 1/3
of the current sunsite.

I think it will be more interesting and should have one of the POVRay
images on it...

Agreed.

Should be available soon on SmallBBS and the Ley'ada BBS in Jerusalem.
