zImage vs. bzImage
I was told that some computers don't support bzImage, but only
zImage. What is it exactly? what versions of kernel support
zImage? Is there any distribution that comes ready with a kernel
that supports zImage?
This problem is mentioned in:
http://www.cck.uni-kl.de/misc/tecra710/#boot
In that page, the author claims that up to 2.0.23 / 2.1.5, the
standard kernel does not support it (he has his own patch).
