New list address

Hi:

I have set up the linux-il list at cs.huji.ac.il. As the robot didn't
yet answer me, those on the CS list are those who were subscribed at
Hagiga as of Sunday morning. Usage instructions:

1. To post: mail your message to linux-il@cs.huji.ac.il
2. To subscribe: mail the following to majordomo@cs.huji.ac.il
	subscribe linux-il
or mail to linux-il-request@cs.huji.ac.il
	subscribe
(no need for name or email address, unless you want to subscribe an address
different than the sender field).

Several changes:
1. Those who use automatic email filtering - add a rule for the new address
(oir change the existing one).
2. All errors should go to me (you shouldn't receive any errors at all) -
if you do, tell me about it.
3. If you reply to messages, the reply-to address should be the sender of the
original message (unless I goofed in the configuration). This means that if
you want to have everyone in the list read your message, you should add the
lists address to the To: or to the Cc: fields (some mailers give you this
option automatically).
4. Majordomo is supposed to automatically filter messages looking as subscribe
or unsubscribe, so you should get a lot less of these (if at all).

The last three changes would hopefully somewhat reduce errornous traffic on the
list for readers and posters.

Mail to linux-il@hagiga.jct.ac.il should continue to work as usual. I hope
that in a few days forwarding would be set up so that the mail would be
automatically sent to the new address.

As I didn't hear any objections to the move, besides Dovies (I still want to
talk to him - I'll email him seperately) I hope that it is ok with everyone.
Unless people start shouting at me now (or tomorrow in the meeting) the list
has now officially moved. I have made the change now as now we have the
opportunity and the move should be done before the show.

A short request - would someone volunteer to write the 'info' about this list.
This should be a short message, about 20 to 40 or 50 lines, describing the
list and anything anyone would want to know about it (such as http addresses,
who we are etc.). I will combine the suggestions and set the result as the
official info.

Regards,
Ariel
