big problemo there... Intel cards are not fully supported, and it causes 
me big problems here too, since my entire network is based on 'EE16' and 
'EEpro's...  I can tell you that only the latest 1.3 kernels support them 
stablely (but not fully) and yes, it does require a recompile :-(
