Toshiba CDROM on SB.

I'm a friend of Eitanand will try to help, also CC:ing this the the
Israeli Linux mailing list, maybe someone had this problem before. I

did you run out of IDE connectors? I find it highly problematic to make
Linux recognize a third IDE interface (the one of the SB) with boot
images, I prefer the CD to be on my standard bus if possible, and then
recompile the kernel properly afterwords.

I need to know what are ytour versions of the installation, or at least
kernel patchlevel.

THAT is weird message... could you give us a rundown on where is
/dev/cdrom linked to?
