Well, I havn't seen a vt100 for at least 10 years. I hope that this isn't 
7bit Hebrew because then you will need a special font. I don't understand 
the part about the graphics.

What sort of terminal emulation is defined in dxterm ?

You may want to try the other way around, that is to run a decterm with 
the display pointing to the linux if the VMS is running TCP/IP.

Something like:

telnet to the vms

$set display/create/transport=tcpip/node=[linuxhost]
$create/term/detach

The problem with this approach is that you will need the Digital's fonts 
or will have to play around with the fonts aliases.
