Just one little (but, IMHO, vital) comment - use "make xconfig" if you
have X11 up and running, or "make menuconfig" if you can compile
curses programs (just tried this on my Debian machine, I probably miss
curses-devel).
These options are by far easier to use than the original "make
config".
