COMPUTAX demo organisation

We have not decided on how to organize the Computax demos in the meeting.

I suggest that each computer will demo a specific topic.
Naturally, other software may be installed and demonstrated; but we
should make sure that each computer is configured properly to
demonstrate its specific topic.

Following is a proposed list of topics to be assigned to the computers
at the show, and their hardware requirements.

Networking computer:
  netscape/xmosaic
  irc,talk
telnet and other remote connectivity programs
rsh (it is impressive for non-unix people)
displaying the result of programs running on other computers

hardware requirements: as fast as possible network connection

Multimedia computer:
Display movies (preferably with sound tracks)
playback of midi files (using mp) and of recorded sound.
  Music playback from CDs
Does anyone have some sort of virtual reality program?

hardware requirements: sound card with a kernel configured for it
                       fast enough for animation
                       CD drive
amplifier & speakers (I will bring them)

Multitasking computer: used to show multitasking capabilities
  Games (I like xmris best)
  programs that use the network
  Programs that do heavy calculations
Xdos (dosemu) - have several xdos windows
  sound playback (midi files)

hardware requirements: big memory size
                       sound card for music

Application computer: intended to demo complex applications
  scientific software
  program development
  ghostview
  other stuff...

hardware requirements: fast cpu? - depends on what you run
