Hebrew TeX (and/or TeX-Xet)
I guess this subject has been beaten to death here, but I got some problems
with this and I know absolutly nothing about TeX (to say the least).
Here goes... I got the ntex distribution up and running, and the english
part works fine. Using the hebrew macros fail. For example, trying to run
tex on the tex_manual.tex (picked up from ftp://noa.huji.ac.il/tex/...)
ends up like this:
! Undefined control sequence.
\moreL ->\bracetext \aftergroup \endL \beginL
\rm
\diem ->\L {
\number \day }\ \R {a\ifcase \month \or ipe`x\or taxe`x\or nxq\o...
l.8 \diem
Trying a tiny 'hello world' test, it seems like '\sethebrew' raises hell.
Also, not really related, I picked up the tex.web and tex.ch for TeX-XeT,
replaced the old files with the new ones, and compiled. The new virtex
binary doesn't work at all, and it seems it can't find its files... a quick
look at both binaris (old and new) reveals that the old one contains a lot
of default pathnames in it, while the new one doesn't. Just wondering if
there's something trivial I've done wrong, or should I start digging the
around...
Thanks,
yossi.
