For installing Linux you don't really need any other OS. Use either OS
(DOS, NT) to make root and boot floppies, boot into those, and start
installing Linux, in Linux... However, If you choose RedHat (Don't know
how about other distributions) You can just pop your CD into the drive,
and from DOS type "G:\redhat" (presuming your CD is G: of course...) and
voila!

As for the partitions - since you reserved room for Linux your task is
simple: during the installation process you will be asked to partition
your drive for Linux (using cfdisk usually). At that point you'll have to
erase the "F:" partition and make AT LEAST two partition - one for root
and one for swap, and it is recommended that you make more (one for for /,
one for /usr, one for /home etc.). For further details about this process
read the Installation HOWTO available from our web
site(http://www.linux.org.il).

It will be a VERY GOOD IDEA for you to search for answer there before
posting the questions to the list on any other subject too.

If you have problems, email me directly and I will try to help.

And, once again, welcome aboard!.
