dumb questions galore!
I suddenly thought: anyone has a good idea WHY in god's name does the
incoming telnet session limit you to a certain bps? I telnet to it from my
windows machine, sending Zmodem is always around the 2048 bps, but
recieving Zmodem passes 100k, 200k bps in most cases. Zmodem is easyer for
me to use in my current setup, I scan graphics and manipulate them on the
windows, send it through zmodem and immediately edit the html in the same
telnet window. anyone got a solution? I don't want to resort to ftp, but I
guess I'll have to...
second dumb question for today: why won't my squid give me an answer on
contacting home.netscape.com, but ok with www.netscape.com? no, none of
the answeres I got on squid-users mailing list helped, not ttl fidling or
mtu on my NIC either, but the problem existed also on the proxy/cache of
apache, so I suppose it's my machine's problem (though home.netscape.com
directly works fine, only the cache is acting weird). the only abnormal
thing about my system is that my Linux box is also my router, and the MTU
on the FR card is 4072. any ideas?
