dd-block size for iso9660

I used mkisofs to make an image file of Debian-1.1.7.
Before writing it on a CD I want to dump this image in to a hard
disk and try to install from that hard drive ( i order to check the
image ). To use "dd" I think that I have to give a block size to use.
I looked in the manuals a could not find any remarks on that.

1) do I have to give a specific block size ?
2) If I do , what block size do I have to use ?
 Thanks.

If this works out fine I can make CDs of the mirrored Debian to
enyone who will pay for the CD or give me one of his own with no
extra fee.
