WOW! now after defining lo, everything fell into place! amazing! and I
have been fighting this for over 4 nights! do I feel DUMB or what?
now I need to see why it isn't being defined automagically like it
should... it's somewhere in the scripts at bootup! going fishing... yes, I
found it! all is fine now... just incompatabilities in the initscripts
between RH4 and my modifications to RH303 for the framerelay... now
everything is set-up right.

nahh, I like to keep them with the same number as the last one on the IP
quad.
