Err, hi Danny.

No, I admit to not knowing Sanskrit and never needing the fonts. I am
using Anglo-Saxon and (rarely) Gothic fonts, which are both simpler and
fewer than the Sanskrit ones. I say give it a try together. Call me.

However, as a general introduction, look at the Unix Reference Desk:

	http://www.eecs.nwu.edu/unix.html

In there you will find:

	http://www.cs.utah.edu/csinfo/texinfo/fontutils-0.6/fontu_toc.html

which has a whole slew of:

		Creating fonts
        	   Font creation example

	           Fontconvert output options
        	   Character selection options
	           Character manipulation options
        	   Fontwide information options
	           Miscellaneous options

Et cetera.
