NE2000 clones work ok & cost about $45 each in Israel. Twisted pair
is easiest to use, & most reliable, but then you need a central hub,
which can cost a couple hundred $$s & increases the amt of wire
needed, so you might prefer one of the coaxial cable types.

However, you might have a serious problem in running these cables
between buildings. I'm not sure that any of these cables is rated for
outside usage. If not, Water, lightning, etc, could cause *serious*
problems.

Depends what you mean by "connect". If you want a linux box to act as
a disk server to a PC running WFWG, you can run SAMBA on the linux box
& it will then be able to (fairly easily & without difficulty) serve
files to any PC running WFWG. SAMBA will also allow WFWG users to use
printers on Linux boxes. If, on the other hand, you want to
allow the Linux boxes to access the WFWG disks, that might be much
more difficult. If you want to be able to, when sitting at a Linux
box, run Excell on a PC running WFWG, then you're probably sunk. I
don't think it's currently possible. If you want the WFWG users to be
able to ftp & telnet to the Linux boxes, this is pretty easy. For
example, you can just pick up telnet & ftp from NCSA for the PC.
Someone even put together a PC networking package containing telnet,
ftp, packet drivers, etc, allowing this to work both under DOS & under
MS Windows.

Good luck,
