No. Amos does not own this list.

However, Ilan Finci (among others) is too lazy to read documentation
even ONCE. So - he asks questions a-la carte blanche, no first try
to manage alone, no attempt to learn. This is called, in polite language,
the "I too am entitled syndrome", an all too common Israeli malady.
One such question is mildly amusing. Two such questions are bland. Three
such questions are mildly annoying. Ilan went over this limit. The only
result of Ilan and ilk's posting of laziness would be to drive Amos and
similarly experienced people off the list, in the end harmin the very
same Ilan Finci and ilk. It is annoying to even read laziness, imho.
Therefore, Amos is entirely within his rights and within reason to
react as mildly (see my reply above, eh?) as he did.
Ilan Finci: The next question you post should be "I did this, I did that
and I did the other. Nothing works. Can anyone offer advice?" and NOT
"tell me how to do this."
As an answer to all your questions until then, please write this down:
ls -lR /usr/doc/faq | less
