ELF kernel and Non-ELF distribution / pppd 2.2.0

  Hi,

Well, I got tired of not having a new kernel, and decided to compile
1.3.63 as ELF even though I don't have an ELF distribution. To my
overwhelming surprise, it actually compiled with no errors and now
resides on a nice floppy disk in my /dev/fd0. So I decided I'd boot from
it and see what happens. So I did. And everything still works. Rather
well, in fact.

Except one small problem: no PPP anymore. So I unzip the pppd 2.2.0 I've
been saving for just this kind of occasion (thanks, Ira), and run it with
EXACTLY the same commandline as the old one. No show, dude, network
unreachable. I said yes to PPP Support in the kernel. Do I need anything
else?

			Bye,

				-Yaron.
