Israeli Linux Users Group, COMPUTAX

Hello all,

The current statistics:

8 donators, to the booth in COMPUTAX, not much :-(
1 more to give support in the fair

As Sergei, suggested, I'll maintain the following lists:

Users that like to help in the COMPUTAX exhibition "COMPUTAX"
Those that also like to donate for COMPUTAX booth "donate"
Those that will come to a meeting "meeting"

Meeting subjects "subjects"

Please send me mail with the name of the list(s) that you like to be part of
(not including subjects)

The current subjects list is as follows (please send me updates):
O COMPUTAX, booth, machines, ppls, software, flyers, shirts, ...
 o Hebrew (Editor, Fonts, HTML, ...) ?
 o Motif on Linux ?
o ELF, an estimation from Patrick Volkerding is that Slackware-3.0.0 will
be out in the next month and will be based totaly on ELF.
 o Commercial software ?
o Commercial software development on Linux (here in Israel) ?
o Linux as Server (which are the clients, what O.S) ?
o Internet Connection through israeli providers ?
Who gives support for linux connection, what services,
and what are the charges ?
o Tcl/Tk on linux (Works great).
o Local Linux Services (BBS, WWW site, I know there are) ?

Where and when are we going to meet ? Pleaces in Weizmann or TAU ?
TAU sounds good, I think that in three weeks is better (Friday, June 2nd
1995).
In such case it will be before the COMPUTAX fair.

We all should make decisions about what we can really show in COMPUTAX
to the
commercial end user.
I don't use dosemu or wine so I would ask, what commercial software is
running
under one of the above with hebrew support ?
>From my personal experience with dosemu and CIM 2.??, my DOS partition was
badly hart :-(.
The Emacs & GDB features are really great, but :( not special to the Linux
Operating System.

The above question are here not to stop up from showing but to give better
answers to the public that will be in the COMPUTAX fair.

The CDROM vs COMPUTAX booth; as I browsed the mail, it seems that there
is no
reall need for a CDROM production machine.
