Re: UpComing COMPUTAX

I have an approach which might work. Call the company you bought
computer equipment from and find out if they're exhibiting at the
show. If they are, call the guy in charge and say something like:

Hi. I represent the Israel Linux Users Group (and am also a
satisfied client of your firm). We understand that you will be
exhibiting at the computax show. We thought you might be
interested in demoing UNIX performance on your hardware. We can
send someone down ahead of time to install UNIX on one of your
machines, and we can supply someone to be at the show to run
applications and to answer questions. Applications include
editors, graphical windowing environment, networking, multitasking,
internet access (WWW browsers), etc. It's sure to attract alot of
   people to your booth because

      a) it would be a satisfied customer vouching for your equipment,
         and service,
      b) this would all be based on a FREE version of UNIX which has
recently been attracting LOTS of publicity (with articles in
Dr. Dobbs Journal, a Jolt award in Software Development
         magazine, ...), and
      c) since the software is *all* *free*, we can give out
         *unlimited* copies.

This last point is guaranteed to attract alot of people and
   publicity.

I'm going to try this with HP.
