This is indeed an excellent place to check. However:
1. Be sure to check the queue list as well, there are lots of benchmarks
there.
2. Read the fine print. The Byte Unix Benchmarks are a bit outdated. As
a result, the current-avarege-to-baseline ratio for various tests is
largely variable. The bottom line is that if you only look at the
overall score, you'll get a result which is hugely biased by the Execl
Throughput Test.
3. One consideration that I found important is that there are currently
no really good PPro boards sold in Israel, as far as I could find out.
It's likely you'll have to settle for the Intel Venus M/B, which is a
mediocre board at best. For Pentiums, on the other hand, the best boards
are available locally.
