Re: Problem with chat...
> How do I tell chat on which com is my modem????
Doing a 'man chat' and 'man pppd' would have solved your problem.
COM1 - COM4 are represented as /dev/cua0 - /dev/cua3 under Linux. Usually,
one creates a soft link /dev/modem to the correct port
(ln -s /dev/cua? /dev/modem).
After doing this, run 'pppd /dev/modem -connect <chat_script>'. Again,
please bother to read the documentation! The PPP howto (/usr/doc/faq/howto,
F set) explains this in great detail, and so do the pppd and chat man
pages.
