humm... so far two extended partitions was not allowd, as far as I 
tried... maybe it was an old fdisk that tryed to stay compatable with DOS...

same fdisk I talked about earlyer... humm, something DID smell 
non-standard to me even back then... it didn't let me define more than 
one extended but didn't limit the number of partitions in it... can't 
remember the version :-(

NM, that old system I experimented on is long gone, and it seems your 
scheme is the right one...
