ATAPI CD-ROM connecting to sound card

Hello group,

I'm about to buy a sound card,

Before I buy and regret, I'd like to here you recommendations
on currently available cards - that works 100% under Linux.

My main requirements from the card are:

1) Must support ATAPI-IDE (Gold-Star 4x 540b model).
2) Preferably 16-bit sound.

My system: 486DX, 8MB, with VESA Multi I/O card, with a SINGLE IDE controller.
Because I have TWO Hard Disks, I can't use them together with the
CD-ROM, so I MUST be able to use the CD on the sound card controller.

At the moment I have the CD and only one HD connected, I use the CD-ROM without any problems
(almost) as /dev/hdb/ , reported as atapi-cdrom found on boot.

I've heard rumors that the settings of the second ide are fixed at
0x170 and it must use irq15, - can't find such sound card.
Also - most OPti82c930 are software (dos/winz) configured, and I guess
its not what I need from the card ?

One more thing, my estimated budget is 100$.

You can also direct me to where you bought yours.

Thanks in advance,

	Yossi A.
