Linux and Sound Blaster Discovery CD16

Given that it works when you attach it to your I/O board (I assume you
mean your IDE card), thit it will probably work with the 1.2.x because
they include support for IDE/ATAPI cdroms.  When you choose IDE
disk/cdrom support, it will ask you if you want to include support for
IDE/ATAPI CDROMS.  Answer "yes", and you should be all set.
