Never got around to try them, but has anyone here tried the WYSIWYG
front
ends to TeX and its variants? How were they?

Better yet - I'm pretty sure there are converters from DVI to any
reasonable printer in the world (surely there are converters to HP).
You can probably find anything you want and more in one of the CTAN
sites (Comprehansive TeX Archive Network).
