weird...




my old P133 used to show BogoMIPS values of 40something. I tryed to stick
in it a Cyrix p120+, and thought I set all the jumpers correctly to
100Mhz. apperently I didn't, it is now running at 133Mhz, recognized as
6x86 P166+ by the BIOS but as a no-name 486 by /proc/cpuinfo (didn't
expect otherwise) and check this out: BogoMIPS at 133.2! (yes, I know
bogomips compensates for x86 level, but even after that it's an impressive
gap)

I'll let it run like that for a day or two :-) I wander...

oh, that means that if linux.org.il is suddenly unavailable, the CPU may
have melted... nothing to worry!
