Neither do I. Not a must.

Well, it's good to have a 3.5 inch drive if you want to install it from
diskettes ; otherwise you'll have to install it from DOS hard drive.

It will run slowwly. I have a 486DX / 33 with 8mb, and it runs (somehow,
with swapping and stuff), I can't sompile the kernel, but I *can* run X,
Netscape and Emacs at the same time.
