First (and most important of all) please don't post any more jokes...

Second (regarding your linux distributions questions) :
I started with slackware and switched to redhat because starting from
slackware release 3.0 it's considered to be much more buggy then any other
linux distribution. I'm currently using RedHat 4.0 (bought from
Cheap*bytes for $2+shipping) and while it has enough bugs too (know bug
with tcsh and others) they have already fixed most of them and you can d/l
bug fixes from their site. One thing that is really uncomfortable in
RedHat is that when you want to install a new version of some utility
(that you found on elsewhere and for wich RedHat still didn't make a RPM
package  you have to make it by yourself wich is very difficult to
unxperienced linux user. Regarding debian - I've heard that they use
FreeBSD on their site ...
