Nope.  I don't think this would work.  Last I checked, the netscape
documentation said that if you have two netscape processes using the
same cache directory then they'll stomp on each other.  Of course, by
now, they may be able to handle it.

However, you do have a point about the other clients.  Are there going
to be other clients running that could benefit from httpd caching?
The only one that comes to mind is gopher, but I thought that gopher
can't use a proxy...  Anyway, if we are going to have other clients
around which can benefit from the a caching httpd, then it might make
sense to use one...

By the way, does anyone have that new Virtual Reality gopher?  I
checked it out & it looked pretty cool.  I coudn't do anything with it
at the time, though, because I was running TERM, and I couldn't figure
out how to configure it to use the proxy httpd that I was running
(which is why I got the impression that it couldn't be configured for
it).
