Re: proxy



Adi:
check out the squid version IRA and I were talking of.
It's the fastes around, and it has the best algorithem for
network caching.

2 things:
1.) IRA: regarding that IP stuff: I guess you saw the translation 
IP-->FQDN script
that come with squid, so I figure that settles the problem (for me too).

2) Ira, Adi (and any other system folks): I talked months ago with Hank 
Nusbacher 
regarding implementation of a caching heirarchy in Israel, a thing that will
open some of the bottlenecks in Israeli WWW access. The person from 
bgu who is responsible for Israeli caching was enthusiastic but apart from
one admin in IL, no one was interested to implement such a scheme.
