When you install Slackware 3.0 set A it installs a basic (no IDECD)
kernel or at best one with SCSI support.
You need to install a kernel from set Q, probably idecd1 or
idecd2 (same kernel exc. for differing SCSI support), or you may try
the aidecd (1.3...).
If you already have, I have no more ideas...
