I don't know RPM, but I think I might try to find which package
contains these files (doesn't RPM say which package the XF86
depends on?  Just the files?) and try to force a re-installation
of this package.

(BTW, it would be helpfull to follow your messages if you put
a descriptive "subject:" line).
