I downloaded netscape and had no problems with it.
You may have older libraries than the ones Netscape was linked with.
do an "ls /lib/libm.so.4*" if this find any library, soft link it
to /lib/libm.so.4 .
If you do not find this library, try soft linking the new libraries
by "cd /lib ; ln -s libm.so.5 libm.so.4" .
There may be other libraries that netscape needs and you have only new
versions of.
Check the libraries that netscape uses by "ldd `which netscape`" .
