NFS <=> Fastest??

Would be a nice opportunity to compare - try a simple NFS cp(1) vs.
"tar cf - ... | rsh othermachine 'cd ...; tar xf - ...'"  And tell us
the results.

(yes, I know about tar(1)'s 'C' option, but I never remember how to
use it and don't trust it :)
