Hi,
your /etc/fstab is in THIS form:
/dev/hda1 / ext2 defaults
[etc]
the NEW installations want it in this format:
/dev/hda1 / ext2 defaults 0 0

OR, rather, the PASSNO field is the _SECOND_ number after the options
field.
PLEASE read "man fstab" for a much more detailed description.
