Kerberos auth. for rsh/rlogin

Hi,

I tried to enable remote logins to a Linux box (without password
authentication) using the usual .rhosts mechanism. When this failed I
discovered that the system uses Kerberos authentication by default, and
I need instead a .klogin file with the right access permissions in it.
However, the system (RH4.1) contained no documentation about Kerberos
(even the man pages referred to from rlogin.man were missing - from ALL
the packages in RH!).
Questions are:
1. Where can I read a little about Kerberos authentication mechanism?
2. I guess I will be forced to give a password each time, if I connect
from machines not using Kerberos, so I'd like to know ho to disable
Kerberos, and fall back to the basic .rhosts mechanism.

Thanks,
Tuvik
