Office suite for Java

Hi guys.

This might just be the break we've been waiting for. I know there are
several initiative like this.

Excerpt from http://home.netscape.com/comprod/columns/intranet/corel.html

January 13, 1997 - In an amazingly short time,
Internet technologies - and Java in particular - have
taken hold in corporate environments. This is
because of the attractiveness of open global
computing standards versus lock-in to proprietary
technology. Why be limited to a single operating
system or chip vendor when with Java you can
write once and play anywhere - on any OS or chip
                     - and have the benefits of much greater choice and
competitive pricing? Corel is seizing this exciting
new opportunity with Office for Java: a set of
                     lightweight, platform-independent, secure,
                     modular, and extensible office productivity
components that can be deployed across corporate
intranets. In addition, our currently shipping
WordPerfect Suite 7 is the only office suite that
uses Java technology to publish documents to the
Web and provide true WYSIWYG formatting
flexibility. To extend this leadership, WordPerfect
Suite 8 is being designed to tightly integrate
                     Netscape Communicator, providing users with
                     seamless groupware, email, and browsing
capabilities from within the applications in the
                     suite.
