NetBSD and Linux

I hope it is not off-(or even anti-)-topic:

Can executables that were compiled under Linux, be run under NetBSD
(x86 of course) ? Does it require special flags in the compilation?
(I have Slackware, kernel 2.0.31, GCC 2.7.2.1, and the target is
NetBSD 1.1). And what about dynamic libraries (compiled under Linux,
run under NetBSD) ? BTW: Are the various *BSD distributions compatible
with each other (i.e. FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, BSDI) ?

Where can I obtain/purchase (in Israel!) a CD with NetBSD?

P.S. Somebody reported the number of Linux hosts in Israel to this
mailing list. Please add additional 2. The connection to the Internet
will be completed next week. Placed at my home.

Thanks in advance,
