Not right. The is some hardware, called Watchdog Cards, and Linux supports
it since I don't know how long ;). The principle is, the card is waiting
for input on some port every X seconds, and if theer is none, machine is
stuck and gets rebooted. On of the last issues of Linux Journal has an article
about it. If anyone interested, I can find which issue it was.
Not sure, however, that it is available in Israel. But you can always 
order directly from US...
