Hi,
I was curious about it, so I visited acTVnet today.
First, it's not ISDN, but frame-relay. Not that it matters for the end
user. You get a socket at home and you connect to it using an ethernet
card.
Right now you have a good chance of getting a line all for yourself.
They are promoting their deal, so they are willing in many cases
(depending on the infrastructure and population at your neighbourhood)
to connect a single user, and later try to lobby for others to join.
They currently connect you to shany, but intend to connect to internet
gold and NV as well. It seems to me that the bottleneck might well be
not the line from home to ISP but from there on...
One thing to notice: their agreement says you are obliged to pay the
monthly cost for _at_least_12_months_, even if you wish to be
disconnected in the middle of this period!
I think the deal is interesting. There is no 'sting' about it, but the
agreement is a bit problematic. Read the fine print and decide.
