I sympathize with you, but you should be watchfull - if Netscape
becomes the de-facto standard then we just replace one evil with
another.  We should support OPEN software, make open standards for
common applications and file formats, with no single company to rule
them all.

Remember when Big Blue (IBM) was the "bad guy" and many people
wanted it to go and push up some daissies?  Today it's M$, tommorow
it could be Netscape/Oracle.

The bottom line for now - watch out from crowning new kings, try
to define a goal (free software, pluralism, availability of choice),
and stick to it.
