Not exactly. This is the "solution" for something else (displaying
LTR/Visual under the Hebrew Windows), and I can't call it just
solution (without ` " ') since the problem is not the Hebrew support
but the original string.

The solution for the problem *you* mention, is using the <Ctrl><Shift>
(the right Shift will cause the text to be RTL, and the left one -
LTR). This works not only with the textual controls (=widgets) of
Microsoft (and their "users", e.g. Notepad), but also with apps with
special Hebrew support (e.g. Word and even the Hebrew IE 3.02!).

As for the original question of Stas/Ira, it is a different issue at
all, and when I'll have time, I'll answer it in details.
