Before I even start answering. I read the whole letter, and it sounds
like you don't really understand the whole issue at all. While you might
be a power Windows user, you fail to comprehend what installing a Unix
operating system means. Maybe go to the trouble of reading some FAQs and
such, before you actually go on and do things. Even after you did read,
and have installed Linux, take the trouble of reading the FAQs and HOWTOs
in the Linux distribution, and learn about the man command (man = manual),
where man some_command_name, for ex. man mount will give you the manual
page on mount. This will save you the trouble of asking questions here,
and having people send you to the manuals. Knowing Unix is not a very easy
task, but IMHO, it's a very worthwhile one, surely more than knowing
WinBlowz95.
Now on to the letter.....

Nope. Linux is not a Win95 application.

You can install it on the same drive, you'll need to repartition the
drive, which means that you'll need to re-install win95 afterwards as
well. So, using a second drive can be a good idea, but, using a old and
suckie 212MB drive might not be such a good idea, IMHO.

Slackware 2.3.0 (which is what you probably have), is too old to even be
considered. Use Redhat 4.1 or Debian, if you can put up with the Debian
package installer.

Hmmm, how else would we reply ?
