Fonts
Hi.
I have strange problems with fonts on my X. Since I installed Eli's Hebrew
font pack, TkInfo displays the text using a somewhat ugly font. Probably
it's using one of the Hebrew fonts, the English letters of which are not
as perfect as of the fonts originally coming with X. But why? I never told
it to use another font. When I "xset -fp" the Hebrew fonts out, it uses
the good font again. I even explicitly added the following two lines to my
.Xdefaults, as the TkInfo docs suggest:
tkinfo*font: -adobe-helvetica-bold-r-normal-*-16-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
tkinfo*Text.font: -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal-*-16-*-*-*-*-*-*-* but
TkInfo doesn't pay attention, it still uses the Hebrew font.
I thought that maybe the hebrew fonts' fonts.alias aliases some Hebrew
fonts to normal ones. I took a look at the file, and it indeed aliases one
such font, but not an -adobe- one, it was something else. I removed that
definition anyway, restarted X, and it didn't help.
What else can it be?
Thanks.
