I haven't burned 5.0 (yet), but from what I've learned when I burned
4.2:
- the redhat-<x> directory in your mirror is the CD root. That is, yes,
it's /RedHat/RPMS, /docs etc.
- keep symbolic links. There ARE some in /misc/... and in
../instimage/..
- MAKE SURE you preserve x permission for ../bin/ and ../lib . You may
still be able to use your CD by ftp and nfs if you don't, but you
won't
be able to "boot" it.

No. Don't change rpms. Add them to a /updates directory of somewhere and
install them immedeately after system install, manually. If you don't do
this, at least edit whatever files are needed (I don't know which) to
make
sure yout installation doesn't break.

I don't know what this is. There's an autorun file windows uses for,
well,
autorunning things off CD, but I think that's not what you meant. AFAIK,
/RedHat and +x integrity is all you need. Preserving links is to save
space.
Good luck,
