Installing Linux
Hello,
I know this a bit of a novice thing.. I'm having
a 200 Pentium Pro system, running standard hardware
(Intel Venus motherboard, 32 MB Ram, ATI graphics
card, WD drive, Creative CD drive) operating a WIN95
(Enabled). I'm interested in installing Linux.
1. Is it possible to install Linux from within Win 95
using an installation shell or something like that ?
2. Would I have to dedicate a seperate drive for
it..? I have a spare 212 MB WD drive. X-Windows is
not a must at this time.
3. What package is recomended now days..? Red Hat,
Slackware..? I have a 2.something slackware version
here .. Is it possible to install it on the above
system without much of a mess..?
Thanks in advance for your reply. E-mail replies R
preffered..
Regards,
Gil.
