Well it might have been if there was any difference.
The only difference about RPMs is they include a lot of docs, manpages and
.rc files which get installed where RH likes them, rather than where _I_
have already installed them, thus creating multiple duplicates on my
system. If I didn't know what I was doing, it'd have overwritten some of
my .rc files.

Cause I like compiling my own stuff. More control, you know? What next,
InstallShield for Linux? Yeesh.

At first I thought somethng fatal in X didn't work. Took me a while to
notice it's just fvwm. Then I said, what the hell, maybe I installed
something wrong. Then RH didn't work, and the SL I had before did, so I
went back to that. It's not like I had a system up for months...
