7. SCSI drives have MTBFs that are higher than for EIDE. They are
engineered for the higher demands of rack usage. However, there is no
surer way to get rid of an EIDE drive, than to mount it inside a cramped
PC case, with insufficient airflow around the case of the SCSI drive. All
professional racks have *huge* airflows around each device inside them.
