IPv4 is the normal (i.e. current) IP protocol, the one with classes (A, B,
C, D, and E). Your problem seems to be that IP is not compiled into the
kernel or as a module.

7030 is Triton VX chipset. Upgrade kernel to (at least) 2.0.29 (which mine
is).
