If you ask this question, then the answer for you is surely RedHat.
For others, the answer is more complicated and depends on some
issues (Linus recommends RH).

1. RH has a good packaging mechanism, called RPM.
2. Installation of RH is easier.
3. If you purchase the full RH, you get some commercial packages:
a. Metro-X X server.
b. A backup utility.
c. Real-Audio streamer (including the server!)
4. If you purchase the full RH, you get a nice book (hardcopy, but
without hardcopy search engine :-)
5. RH has many more packages.

I heard a similar question somewhere... I am trying to remember...
Oh, I think it was Bill. He asked: "Can't they use just one operating
system? Why do they use Linux, OS/2, NetBSD, FreeBSD, BSDI, HURD,
Rhapsody/NeXT, SCO, Solaris/x86, UnixWare, and soon - Digital UNIX
for x86 and HP-UX for x86? There is already Windows 95!"
