HI. I just thought of something i think sould be added to the kernel and i dont know who to turn to, so i looked up the kernel maintainers file and found you the closer to the subject here is my idea: how about adding the linux kernel some url support, i mean that when using the file-open system-call, i could specify a file like ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/linux/find-ls, and it will be transperent to the programmer ( and user ) like i tried to open a local file. i dont think the place for handling URL's are in the aplications, I think it should be supported in the kernel and be transperent to the programer and user please give me a reply soon ( is it possible ?, do i have to ask sombody else ? , if so who ? ) Thanks Erez. ___ ___ L_|_ _|_J ( -O> <O- ) ___//\J +------------------------------------------+ L/\\___ //-,\ | Erez Doron, | /,-\\ || / \\___L U.S. Robotics Technologies, Israel J___// \ || _ ''/\/ '---J Email: L---' \/\'' _ / \ //\\. | erez@scorpio.com | .//\\ / \ |_/\'/ || +------------------------------------------+ || \'/\_| ' ||_ _|| ' |__) (__|
