Get connected to the Internet as an addressable host
In page 91 of issue #39 of LINUX JOURNAL There is an article with the
title "Register in the U.S Domain (For Free)."
In the article itself it is written that this is directed to USA
citizens. And that other countries citizens might, or might not, have
similar possibilities in their country's domain.
The sub title is : "Here are some good tips on how to get connected to
the Internet as an addressable host."
Among other things the writer is talking about that the USA has
organizations such as the "US Domain Registry", "Internet Assigned
Numbers Authority" (http://www.isi.edu/in-notes/usdnr/), and an
organizations that have been _delegated_authority_over_a_doamin.
And he described how a US citizen can apply these authorities in order
to get connected to the Internet as an addressable host.
Do we, in Israel have similar authorities ?
Am I, as an israeli citizen, can be connected to the Internet as an
addressable host (ofcourse there is also the question of the physical
media, that is, the line that I will be connected through) ? How ?
