Although the following is not a direct answer to the question, I hope it
will worth the bytes that it takes:
In issue 37 of Linux journal there is an article on page 30 with the
header:
"in a sequel to his "Perl and Sockets" article . . . demonstrates how
Perl can be used for the server end of a socket connection"
And quoting from the first paragraph:
"In previous article in Issue #35 of Linux Journal, . . . about the
socket library functions in Perl . . . "
All listings in that article are available by anonymous ftp from
ftp://ftp.ssc.com/pub/lj/listings/issue37/2064.tgz.
By the way, the TAKE COMMAND column of that issue (#37) was written by
Shay Rojansky. Its subject is: ncpfs-Novell Netware Connectivity for
Linux.
