Like I said in the original reply to the reply, that is only a _partial_
solution. 

When you get a call and have call-forwarding, YOUR number actually rings
TWICE, so you get a couple of call-waiting beeps. Some modems can stay
connected when there's only one or two beeps. There's an S register that
helps that, I forget which, but, once again, it doesn't always work.
