Here is what I did:
bash-2.00$ less test/hello.cc

	#include <iostream.h>

	int main(void)
	{
 		cout<<"Hello world\n";
  		return 0;
	}

bash-2.00$ g++ -Wall -o test/hello test/hello.cc
bash-2.00$ ./test/hello 
Hello world
bash-2.00$
