True. But you failed to notice one little detail - both Sun and M$
try to make Java propritry by adding "special features" which will
make certain applets run on "their" platform only. It is this
practice and the blind support of Netscape excercised by some people
that I was warning about.
(I'm don't consider myself an industry watcher, but just get
subscribed to the ZDnet anchordesk (www.anchordesk.com) and look for
items about Java or Netscape).
