Re: gs having difficulties with WIN95 ps files
There are differences between the different PostScript drivers under
WIN95. Unlike WIN3.11, there is no single generic PostScript Printer
driver, but rather different drivers for different PostScript printer.
Now, I have no printer at home, but a PostScript printer at work, so I
tried to define a PostScript printer that prints on a file.
When I defined the printer to be HP-5MP (I think), the generated PostScript
file had a few header lines and a few trailer lines, between which was
the actual PostScript of the file I printed. Therefore, I needed to
edit the PostScript file, and remove the header and trailer lines before
sending it to print.
I later defined the printer to be DataProducts (there's only one model
with PostScript in the printer definition list), which took care of this
problem and produced pure PostScript print files.
Good Luck,
Doron
