btw, (2) is not solved with the free SSL implementation yet, because
verisign will not issue certificate to apache servers, because apache is
not a "company".

very good idea. might be a good idea to post this to
comp.infosystems.www.servers.unix and get wider discussion on this.

I would love to see something like netscape enterprise server have, a
small administrative server that would sit on a seperate port, and does
all the configuration with your browser.
