Don't bother.
With this kind of attitude, they have no chance to have success in this
kind of business. This is because they need as their first customers
people who are sophisticated, knowledgeable of technology and willing to
spend some time working with the ISP in the role of beta sites. Those
first customers are important to help the ISP debug their hardware,
software and business procedures - before they start serving the flood of
clueless newbies who are dazzled by the promise of Blindingly Fast ISDN.
And if the guy you spoke to doesn't understand this point, it is because
his manager didn't explain to him the importance of courtesy toward
technically sophisticated customers. And if the manager didn't explain,
this means that the manager was too incompetent to realize the strategic
importance of this segment of the market for ISDN based Internet access.
