Could you please provide more detailed description of your
problems. I've got a couple of my friends, running Mustang (4.9.1) and
thay didn't report any problem.

I'd love to see the list of the following data:

1. Package
2. Detailed description of the problem.
3. Brief notes on the way the problem was discovered (for example, cc
options used during the compilation)

Because Linux is moving towards GNU libc. Because libc will be
obsoleted soon. Because Linux on the Alpha (at least is using
glibc). Because glibc has much better I18N support. Because glibc is
supposed to be more standard-compliant. Because glibc has much better
pthreads inegration.

Obviously, this doesn't mean one has to upgrade to a buggy
distribution.
