I can't tell you Linux is perfect, but it is not a platform for desktop
computing yet. you can build a very convenient and usefull working
environment, but it's not worth the time and learning curve. the place for
it is as a server and development platform, I have nothing aghainst
Microsoft as the client. On the contrary, it's my favourite GUI (ouch!
put down the axe!).
