Please cd to the kernel tree, and type 'make config'. The 6th or 7th
question asks whether to support specific chipsets (as in Triton). Exmaine
if it's 'ON'. Type ^C to abort the script without making changes. If it's
ON then someone else (wise little Red Hats ?) set it to ON. Then grep your
rc. scripts for a line with hdprm... It is also possible that the Red Hat
people have patched an auto-on feature for this into the kernel, if
compiled with this option.
