Shareware for beta-testing: A new hebrew editor
Hi!
I have just completed the first distribution of a new Hebrew editor
which I after some hesitation have decided to distribute as shareware.
Before I announce the editor on comp.linux.announce and
comp.lang.tcl.announce, I'd be happy if some of you would have a look
at it. So please grab it, let me know what you think, and in another
week I'll announce it.
Please contact me directly, as I'm not a member of this mailing list
(after I got sick after a flame storm a couple of years ago).
Here's the README file:
TAVED version 1.0
Shareware: $10

Taved is a simple text editor for Hebrew running under X11-windows.
Future versions are planned that run under Windows 3.11/95 and Macintosh
both on Hebrew and Non-Hebrew operating systems.
Taved is written in Tcl/Tk and is distributed with all of its source.
Still the author retains the copyright on the source, and it is thus
not in the public domain, unless explicitely indicated so in the
beginning of the file. A user is required to decide after a trial
period of one week if he likes the program. If so he should pay the
registration fee of $10 or the equivalent in any other in israel
exchangeable currency. For israeli currency the price is set to 35
NIS.
See the file INSTALL for installation instructions.
And remember, if you like me to write more stuff like this, including
a Hebrew mail tool that I'm planning, register!
Features:
* Automatic wordwrap.
* Paragraph reformatting.
* Emacs like bindings.
* Cut and paste in logical and visual mode between other X-applications.
* Postscript printing.
* An online virtual keyboard for those without Hebrew on their
keyboards.
