Some more probs with RH44
Well - the autoboot I talked of in
me previous letter is a feature that lets one start
installation of a CDROM in windows.
This is what got stuck everytime - not lilo without an image (!??)
ANyway - I'm compiling a kernel for eepro (etherexpress pro) card
which untill today compiled without a budge on slack' and I figure
it's about the same driver. When I compile modules (all module
options enabled) make modules; make modules_install -
I get alot of unresolved symbols errors. I compiled the modules
after the kernal, although I didn't have to since I set version info option.
OK - I don't have that much time to play with modprob today.
Let's try compiling it into the kernel. [*] EtherExpree Pro and let's
hit the road. The device wwas not recognised at boot by kernel.
ANd I'm talking 2 Different comps and 2 different NIC's.
Why does it give module version errors anyway? I thought setting version
info should set that.
Oori.
