security on Dial-up Systems
I recently installed RedHat and I was looking around the system
when I fount the: /var/log/secure
as I looked in it I found apart from 127.0.0.1
and my second computer 192.168.2.2
this attempts to break in:
Jul 25 20:06:08 gal in.telnetd[6617]: connect from 38.14.54.69
Jul 25 20:06:16 gal in.telnetd[6618]: connect from 38.14.54.69
it's not too smart and mostly harmless, it probably won't made me wink if
I was a sys admin of some Web site but I am talking about my home workstation
that the most exiting thing on it is hello-world.java
Do hackers really look for home computers connected with dynamic IP to crack
into?
