The Cathedral and The Bazaar

This is the HTML address of a very interesting paper written by Eric S.
Raymond, "The Cathedral and The Bazaar." In it, he analyzes the
different development models of the FSF (Free Software Foundation) and
Linux, and discusses an experiment he ran in developing a particular
software project, where he actively attempted to emulate Linus Torvalds
style. It is a very interesting discussion on the theory of software
development, as well as interesting expose/psychoanalysis of Linus.

(I first heard him give this talk at Linux Kongress '97, where it went
over very well, and he has published and updated it since then.)
