Hi, I'm trying to install PCMCIA support on a notebook and it doesn't work. System: Compaq Armada Notebook + 32Mb RAM + 1Gb HDisk PCMCIA SCSI Card Adaptec AHA-1420 Slim SCSI SCSI CD-ROM NEC Debian Release 1.2 Linux Kernel 2.0.27 (including PCMCIA, SCSI support) Yes, I did read following documentation: Frequently Asked Questions and HOWTOs The Linux Laptop Home Page Linux Hardware HOWTO Linux PCMCIA Information http://www.aplac.hut.fi/staff/sakari/armada.html http://www.ma.ultranet.com/~bniece/laptop.html Problem: When I run "/etc/init.d/pcmcia start", it beeps one high beep and one low beep. It does recognise Cirrus PCMCI hardware but it doesn't recognise properly AHA-1420 PCMCIA card. It identifies it as "Anonymous Memory Card". And the SCSI doesn't work. Please, send me all the relevant PCMCIA/SCSI configuration files for such configuration. Any help will be appreciated. Please send replies to mailto:alexr@gezernet.co.il Regards, Alex alexr@gezernet.co.il
