actualy, i left off using ddd for two reasons.
1. is starts up real slow...
2. it wasn't able to handle files that were in libraries coming from other
   directories, and i couldn't find out how to make it do that properly (i
   think it might be bad usage of gdb or dbx).

for some reason, i thought 2.1 was not a new version. have you any idea if
they solved problem #2?
