Run your Netscape Navigator/Coomunicator (NOT Microsoft IE),
point it to http://www.linux.org.il and start reading. You
should find all the answers there or sites referenced from there.
Look particularly for documents with "FAQ" and "HOWTO" in their
titles.
As for distributions - DEBIAN RULES!!!! :-)
(www.debian.org, or call me if you want to borrow a copy to
install).
