question..!!
Greetings,
First I have RH4.2..well had...!and am posting this message to all the
major how-tos and help available on-line..this is for educational
purposes.
I tried to upgrade the kernel from 2.0.30 to 2.0.32..few
problems occurred on the way, OS Kernel was damaged..!electricity went
down..so
when rebooted the kernel paniced..I did save the older kernel but for some
odd reason the kernel was complaining that 2.0.30 FVS did not match 2.0.32
and the system paniced..even though the compiling went fine and all the
rest..so I tried to re-install from scratch and I got this message after I
specified the ip address..
Error, SIOCSFFLAGS: try again
The Harrd Drive is a 9GiG Segate wide scsi..
IS this somehting with the hard disk itself ?
what does that mean? is there a way out of it..!
PS. I tried using the RH5.0 boot disks and I got an equal massege..
Error, SIOCSFFLAGS are temorary unavailable..please try again..
I am using this for testing and educational purposes any hints are more
than welcome.
Thanks in advance
