Announcement: Jerusalem Meeting

Hello !

I finally can announce the finals on our Jerusalem meeting:

Date: Sun, 28.12.1997, 19.00 o'clock
Place Room 201, Ross building on Givat Ram campus of the Hebrew University
in Jerusalem
How to get there:

Bus: Lines 9 and 28/28H from the Central Bus Station and from Mount Scopus,
9 from the city center, 24 from I-don't-know-from

Car: You know where the Knesset/Government/Israel Museum is ? The Givat Ram
campus is just next to it !

The room is a *meeting room*, not a computer lab. There is a X-terminal and
NO possibility to connect computers to the Internet (CS won't allow it).
That means that we can't have an installation party there, even though we
can bring computers and build our own network (people interested in doing
so, please mail me privately; I can bring 5 netcards and a cable).

The registered topics are the following:

* Organization of installation partys for advanced things: SSL Apache,
Sendmail/Qmail, SSH, Firewall, DNS, Web Security package, Quota, Samba,
mgetty, file security

* To get know more Linuxers in Jerusalem (common interests, like DOOM)

* Swap/Sell/Buy books and CDs

* Discuss hot Linux topics: distributions, hw, New programs for Linux,
what-ever-is-on-our-minds

I am asking everyone to try to come (also the non-Jerusalemites) because I
think it is a nice thing to meet instead of talking only through email.
Also, if you know someone who is not on the list, but might want to come,
tell him/her to come !

If anyone wants to share his/her knowledge and hold a short lecture - please
tell me NOW and I will announce it to everyone (this might even draw more
people !)

Concering organizational issues, you can also phone me at 02-6518223
(evenings till midnight), since I have no time to read mail regularly, or
try to locate me at Givat Ram (I study Math&Physics, 2nd year)

Sincerely yours,
Schlomo Schapiro
