Re: Linux HW compatibility list 4 local products

I don't know how the HTMLized version of the list would work. Perhaps some
Java ? <G>

The idea is to have a searchable place for that info. Otherwise it is
lost. I use WAIS to find things on my own HDD, how do you expect anyone to
find info on a complex item such as hardware setups when a Linux newbie,
still tacky with M$-like questions like 'who supports Grazilla W22 ?'. And
the last thing you need is postings like:

i knoW howta connect a conner drive to linux. email me for help.

I happen to know that because I learned that way. Want to make it easier
for others. Therefore I want a list. Maybe it will be hosted by email
request if not online. I'm going now to find out how the @!#$!@# Opti
82C930 based 16-bit soundcard is supposed to be configured such that Linux
mixer drivers can operate with it. At http://www.opti.com. If I find out I
will post another posting like the *list* posting before. Ah, and I will
write a mini-FAQ. Eventually. HTML.
