Re: Linux HW compatibility list 4 local products

Please reread the posting. I said that the model / make should be spelled
exactly as on the package, plus, the comparison/search would be case
insensitive.

Yes, excepting for the small details, aka bugs, improvenets or features
which make them *different*.

> HTML form

The basic idea about making people not hate the collection of information
is not to tie their hands. The format I suggested is based on a working
format, the lsm, and it is designed with zero or small maintenance in
mind. If you don't believe that snip my example posting out into a file,
copy it onto itself 100 times and then type (at a shell prompt):

# gawk 'BEGIN { flag=0; } /^device:/ { if(flag == 0){ flag=1; print;
 }else{ flag=0; } next; } /^END/ { flag=0; next; } // { if (flag == 1){
print; } next; }' <this_file | less

Turning this kind of input into anything is too trivial to mention.
Turning a HTML form output into such a thing is also trivial but I like it
less.

Anyone knows how to look at FAQs but can they spare the time and the
patience ? I can't always do that.
