RE: Distributions ???????
I have to agree with Ariel, we want people to migrate to Linux,
so at the beginning, we need something easy to install and use, I think
RedHat will do just fine.
About which version, I think that a tested and stable one (4.2)
should be the best choice, remember we are talking about newbies...

I have to agree, I have been running self customized Slackware
versions
from the start, but it needs much more attention at start, don't
use
Slackware unless you know you'll be able to find & install
everything
yourself, or unless you are into hacking like Peter here said.
RedHat will do just fine for you.
