did you know that you can use FDISK.EXE to remove win95 too? it's a
special feature Microsoft built into it. very usefull..

it's an operating system. it's not for the faint of heart.

about 5,000 miles if used against the wind, 7,000 with backwind. up to 300
nautical knots (!), and can withstand pressure of up to 1500 PSI. Also, it
doesn't care for broccoli.

around the house I let it wash the dishes and walk the dog, some weirdos
think it's better for web servers or garbage collecting, go figure.

free as a bird. noone here is making it wash the dishes, it can get up and
go anytime... it's a democratic country.

OK, now you had a taste of what the linux-il list is like, we don't care
for people who come here to ask questions before they read all about it on
the web (if you posted this here, you must have either seen our website or
subscribed the list and got the FAQ mailed to you). But you're lucky, I'm
in a better mood for 5 minutes so I'll give you a rundown (you deserve
SOMETHING after reading all the silly answers and getting down here)

Linux is a Unix clone. that's a dumb thing to call an OS since it's hard
to define what "UNIX" is with all the clones around and no original to
clone from. I call it "a respectable young member in the Unix family".
yes, it's free, it's yours with the sources forever. it's limited by the
ammount of RAM, disk and speed the CPU of your choice can take (I must
admit, the limits question was weird, what did you mean by it?), and it
can do ANYTHING any other Unix server does and more. It's memory
management, process management and filesystem are all too advanced for
Microsoft, so they call it inferior without explaining even though it is
well known that their server is much buggyer, slower and doesn't even
have nicer screen savers.

loving linux means hating Microsoft for 90% of the people out there, I
don't see it this way, I just pity microsoft for having such great ideas
for products and no programmers to implement a real good kernel. it's a
give and take situation: if you want the wonderful comfort of the Office
and it's working environment, you'll have to give up the stable and fast
system, do your own math.

(now someone add this to the FAQ!)
