XDM again...
Hi,
Ok, this is getting annoying.
I've got this 486/80 at work, which runs everything perfectly, but has
some trouble with XDM. What happens is XDM will let root logon, but not
other users. This has happened on 2 different Slackware installations and
one RedHat installation (4.1 currently running). The _exact same_
installations on my home computer worked _fine_. In fact, I copied the
actual /usr/lib/X11/xdm/ files from home and brought them here, still,
same thing happens. Both machines are running with shadow-passwords
enabled. There is _nothing_ in /usr/lib/X11/xdm/xdm-errors, except X
starting. This happens under XFree3.whatever's current as well as
commercial servers.
Does anyone have ANY idea? More info (files, ls -lRs, whatever, is
available, I just have no idea what's relevant.)
Bye,
-Yaron.
