IP masquerading




   Hi,


   If you were to consider the "kalkaliut" of a solution like coding a
masquerador, or start messing around with NetBEUI, I would suggest
considering this alternative. For about 400 shekels or less, you can get a
486, that can be configured as a linux-router, and it will route both your
Solaris and whatever else you have there. You can use coaxial&NE2000 cards
to connect all 3 and that is that. Compile a linux kernel with IP
masquerading and such on the 486 linux-router, and use the non-routable
networks for your internal network. This is the cheapest, fastest and also
the most reliable configuration I can think of...
