RPM
Hello,
Yesterday I tried to install qmail. I download qmail-1.01-9.i386.rpm and
execute "rpm -i qmail-1.01-9.i386.rpm". It said than it has problem with
sendmail. Okay, I uninstalled sendmail and executed again. It was installed
correctly (no message was displayed).
I ran script /etc/rc.d/rc.init/qmail and checked maillog. There was wrote:
qmail: alert: cannot start: unable to switch to queue directory
I thought some was incorrect during installation and wanted uninstall it.
I wrote "rpm -e qmail-1.01-9.i386.rpm" and wanted to install it again, but
it wrote:
package qmail-1.01-9.i386.rpm is not installed
Okay, I tried install it without unistall: "rpm -i qmail-1.01-9.i386.rpm".
Result:
package qmail-1.01-9 is already installed
error: qmail-1.01-9.i386.rpm cannot be installed
What to do?
Then I downloaded sources qmail-1.09-9.src.rpm. Compliled and installed.
It works very strange.
Please tell me what to do - I have no mail!!!
I have RedHat 4.2. RPM version 2.4.7
Thank you in advance.
