Re: Problems installing debian

Hi There,

A similar problem happen to me with InfoMagic Debian 1.2
It turn up the kernel from the install diskets was probing for many
different hardware devices. it was probing for a SONY CD at the
same address that my ethernet card was using and got confused.
I had replace the address of the ethernet card to make the install work.
After the installation I had a kernel with loadable modules and the
problem went away.
Look for messages that the install kernel is printing to check if it
was probing at addresses that are used by real hardware but for
the wrong device.
