Hi,
if this is a SCSI tape you will need SCSI tape support compiled into your 
kernel. If this is a SCSI disk you will need SCSI disk support compiled 
into your kernel. When compiling the kernel you will have to specify the
type of SCSI adapter you have in the .config file. Get kernel sources from
ftp.linux.org.il. Read the appropriate HOTWO's dealing with building 
kernels and SCSI.
