PPPD error message?
on a Redhat 4.0 machine, running latest kernel and pppd, I installed
mgetty to answer the line.
FAQ says if I let mgetty answer cua?, and try to call out with ttyS? it
will be fine, but it randomly fucks it up...
anyway, it's one thing to get a "tty in use" from minicom but it is REALLY
surprising to get "PPP not supported in this kernel" from PPPD :-)))
dropped the mgetty from inittab, and wham, it's working...
now...
anyone knows how to install mgetty and leave the port open for dialout?
