Winslow 3.11 <-> Linux Apache speed
Thank you for your answers.
The network is stand-alone, it cannot be the problem. It works well under Linux.
trumpet has sane defaults for RWIN etc and I set the MTU to 1500. The eth0
setup on the Linux side shows the same. There are not lost or dorpped
packets.
I suspect that one of the following is true:
a) There are transmission timeouts that go unseen by the ifconfig
b) I choose the wrong packet driver for the NE2000 card
c) I misconfigured Winslow and it send Morse
There is also d): trumpet sabotages the link speed if not registered.
Therefore, the questions again:
1) If csomeone saw a 2 MBps speed on an ethercard that is 10 Mbps then I'd
like to buy it ;) Note the difference between 'B' and 'b'.
2) Has someone run into the slow sepeed syndrome before, and what was the cure ?
3) Are there any suggsestions about where to look ?
TIA,
Peter
