also make sure it's all allocated (safest way is to check the size of
/proc/kcore), if not, maybe you need to specify 64megs in LILO.
if you can boot a DOS floppy on the machine, try to run some memory tests
from Quarterdeck or something...
I have installed 64, 80, 96 and 128 meg Linux servers, on both pentiums
and 486, no problem.
