Big F(unny:) Deal! I can bet, it'll be as buggy (at least) as the
last one. When you have more than 7 months to *fix* the bugs, you are
likely to introduce much more.

IMHO, the 3.0.30+ development was a disaster. It showed that the
situation with free cooperative development is not that shining. In
particular, note the discussion in the linux-kernel list a couple
months ago, when some most productive developers clearly stated that
they are not interested in fixing the problems - they would rather
develop more.

Apparently, the root of all evil was the attempt to re-design the
buffer cache. One of the most important development commandments was
forgotten: Thou shalt not introduce new things in a bugfix release.

Hopefully, the lesson was learned. Anyway, sorry for such a sceptical
point of view.

PS. I personally shall wait 'till 2.2.<LAST> is out. :)
