SUFFER.

no point in ordering CDs now for September. RedHat 4.2 just came out and
by September 4.3 will be out...
the booth is probably about $3,500. I'm not paying ONE dime, nor should
any of us, since the first option is Digital's sponsorship.

20:00 is the closing time, and more than a CD set is needed. qwe need
people to donate time and efforts, and possibly their strong PCs with
large screens before the show. work on setting up an impressive display,
have at LEAST one full day of lectures, where each of us explains to the
others about the piece of software he installed too. that way WE learn
more for the future, and we look more professional to the crowds that
visit the booth.
last time (read the article) we were highly disorganized without a propper
marketing and sales plan (I'm serious, this is exactly how it should be).
Internet connection was improvised on-site, people didn't know what and
how they were running, the few Gurus we had were sitting at the consoles
clicking away happily instead of answering questions. Yes, were a USERS'
group, but for 3-4 days we need to act as salesmen, and people were not
really tuned for that.
Optimally we'll have a balanced group in the booth each day, at least two
into networking, one or two into programming, one to act as bouncer
against kids with long fingers and short sight. more brain storming
tommorow (you still didn't answer my question, Shlomi!)
