 i    know there is a problem that samba only handled clear text passwords,
and maybe this is the problem.
i think you should add some key in the registry that will tell windows
to use clear text password ( at least that solved the same problem with sp3)

if you want i can mail you the instruction for it, i do not want
to post it to the list
