final note (almost) - about ISDN adapters and isdn4linux
Hi All,
Well, After CIGAN (from ACTCOM) and I talked over the phone and reviewed
our cards we came to some conclusions, and here they are:
1. The card that ISDN Net gives free to the client with Tiger Jet 300
Chip is NOT supported by linux due to differences in the controller chip
(ISDN Net card got AMD controller chip while others got other chip [I
don't remember the name])
2. If you look for a card that supports Linux with ISDN - you'll need to
buy a card - since the cards that ISDN Net gives are not supported by
isdn4linux (besides 2 - the 128K-TA card that comes in a
yellow/white/blue box, and the Fritz card that our company gave with the
jumper on it [also called CLASSIC Fritz]).
3. I'll take CIGAN dial up scripting to test and modify to work with
ISDN Net (I'm going to do it tommorow), and I'll publish it here and on
our support pages.
Thanks
