1. Why did you send the mail to linux-il AND cc it to linux-il ????

2. I use mgetty because it supports fax and ringback for one phoneline - a
must in my case :-( (can't afford a second line yet)

Can you elaborate on the "silly handshake". I have a cable that was
labeled "Laplink serial" wich sounds VERY dos-like :-( (It seems that
there is not much need for null-modem cables when I asked in the shop ?)
