on /etc/sendmail.cf check for check_relay, there are some files that
control it.

/etc/sendmail.cf
----------------
....
# file containing IP numbers of machines which can use our relay
F{LocalIP} /etc/mail/ip_allow
# file containing names of machines which can use our relay
F{LocalNames} /etc/mail/name_allow
# file containing names we relay to
F{RelayTo} /etc/mail/relay_allow
....

after editing one (or more) of the files, u'll have to build a db file
of it, using makemap.

something like that:
makemap hash /etc/mail/ip_allow < /etc/mail/ip_allow

and don't forget to kill -HUP the sendmail daemon.
