Netscape uses the login you have as the user you login on the machine
where Netscape runs, to connect to the remote server. Unless you have the
same login/password on both machines, it will fail.
Do you have a MTA running on that machine or is the mailbox (or POP
server) on another machine ? In this case, set Netscape's mail server to
be that.
Unless you do some MTA setups you will not be able to funnel mail so
easily to and from the server (hint: envelope rewriting is required ==
!qmail == ++sendmail ;).
