Sh*t, I thought to make it my lifetime email address...once I leave
techion and intel...
Someone uses a fast and reliable free email host? I have a list of them:
NetAddress - Another free web-based e-mail
www.hotmail.com Hotmail is an excellent email provider all you need
is a web browser.
www.juno.com Juno provides a free email accout that can be accessed
though POP3.
www.usa.net Usa.net provides email forwarding for life. Your own
@usa.net address.
www.iname.com Iname provides email forwarding. Choose from many
domains.
www.bigfoot.com Bigfoot is another email forwarding provider. Your
own @bigfoot.com
www.rocketmail.com Rocketmail is a email provider, just need a web
browser no POP.
www.netforward.com is another email forwarding service choose from
many domains.
www.pobox.org.sg Pobox is another email forwarding service. Email for
life.
But they [hotmail] claim to be still free:

Only one things worries:
Fifth, the basic Hotmail service will always be free. While we will
offer premium services for a modest charge from time to time,

Hotmail email remains free - just as it has always been.

to all Hotmail members
From: Sabeer Bhatia - President and CEO of Hotmail
Dear Hotmail Member,
I am pleased and very proud to announce the merger of Hotmail
and Microsoft.
This is great news both for Hotmail and for Microsoft. Certainly,
one of the first questions you might ask is, why did we do it? Well,
we did this for many good reasons - but mainly because our
merger with Microsoft will make Hotmail:
a more feature-rich service by accelerating product
development cycle times with the addition of key Microsoft
resources
a more content-rich service by augmenting our current base
of WebCourier and other content providers with Microsoft's
own properties, and with other properties that have strong
relationships with Microsoft
a more stable company that our advertisers and sponsors
trust will be around for a long time, and
overall, a better, richer experience for you, the Hotmail
member.
I'm sure you have many questions about what this merger will or
will not do to Hotmail. Let me attempt to address the most
common questions here.
First, Hotmail is to be run as a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Microsoft with complete autonomy. Microsoft has recognized that
we have a good thing going here, and their primary interest is to
continue to enhance it.
Second, the service will continue to be called "Hotmail" -- the
domain name will remain hotmail.com and your email address
will not change.
Third, we will continue to support the widest variety of browsers,
from all versions of Navigator, to Internet Explorer, to
set-top-boxes and myriad other devices - just as we always have.
Fourth, we will continue to provide you with best-of-breed
content (Microsoft or non- Microsoft) through our popular
WebCourier service - just as we always have.
Fifth, the basic Hotmail service will always be free. While we will
offer premium services for a modest charge from time to time,
Hotmail email remains free - just as it has always been.
Sixth, all of our policies and terms of service remain in full force,
including how we treat the personal information you gave us upon
registering. I'll repeat our policy - we will not sell nor share the
information you have provided to us with any third party without
your explicit consent.
Finally, and to me, most importantly, Microsoft shares our vision
of the future. When my partner Jack Smith and I founded Hotmail
two years ago, we believed that we could change the way the world
communicates. With Microsoft behind us, I am more confident
than ever that our vision will be realized.
I hope that like me, you are excited about all the possibilities that
Hotmail, together with Microsoft, can bring to you.
On behalf of every Hotmail employee, I welcome you to an
exciting new phase in the development of our company.
Sincerely,
Sabeer Bhatia
President and CEO
Hotmail Corporation
