Looking for a pine source code maven

Few weeks ago I suggested that text rendering plugins be developed as a
way to support internationalization of Linux software packages, and to
support various BiDi algorithms in packages localized to support Hebrew.

Now I am working on defining the interface to such plugins.

In order to ensure that my definition will lead to efficient interface, I
would like to debug the interface definition by implementing it as a patch
to the code of pine (the E-mail program which we all love and curse its
lack of support of Logical ordering of Hebrew text).

So if there is anyone on Linux-IL mailing list, who is already familiar
with the algorithms and source code of pine, can he/she help me by
directing me to the relevant parts of the source code, and get me up to
speed with modifying pine?

Note to the Bleeding Edge Addicts:
The base version with which I plan to work is pine3.96_heb2.07.
Of course, eventually patches will be made available to people who want to
update their favorite ball-cutting bleeding edge software version.
                                        Thanks,
                                             --- Omer
