Hmm.. i guess i should have mantioned before.... i fixed it about 10
minutes after mailing this mail... always happends to me..

yeah.. there's is a util named chattr which changes the attribute of files
to a totaly read only and some how that was the case for this file...
anyhow.. thanks for your help....
