No, I meant that netscape didn't die. It just hanged (ie the window
didn't even get redrawn) during the 'Connecting to ...' stage for 7
minutes and then just came back with an error message. This happened
on (almost) every other attempt.

There were plenty of log messages about some weird error related to
sockets (like 'delete socket error'). I'll check this again later and
send mail to linux-kernel w/ CC to linux-il
