COMPAQ ethernet card
Hi.
I am installing Linux (Debian) on a PC which has a COMPAQ NETELLIGENT
10/100 TX ethernet card. I wanted to use nfs for the installation, and
I was pretty sure there was no driver for this card on the drivers
diskette, so I borrowed a 3com card temporarily, and did the
installation.
Now, I'd like to swap back the original card. Here, I ran into
problems. First, I tried just swapping the cards without making any
changes in software. This, not surprisingly, didn't work. Then, I tried
deleting the 3com entry from the /etc/modules file. Didn't help. Now,
I'm out of ideas.
Does anyone know what I need to do ? Do I have to add something to the
/etc/modules file ?
I believe the card is supported. http://suse.de/cgi-bin/cdb.cgi says:
Driver
This component is supported by kernel
Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance.
