Re: translating HOWTOs to hebrew
Hello,
I have decided to put in my 0.02 Ag.:
The way I see it is, that most Howtos are difficult reading for normal
mortals (even English speaking). The bottom line is that to make people
less afraid of installing Linux they have to have something short and
understandable directly in front of their eyes.
The only Linux distrib that impressed me was Cladera, because of this. I
had to read a total of 1 1/2 pages of simple english text to get it going.
THIS is what should be available in Hebrew. A two-page startup guide
that should make people start using it about 30 minutes after booting. At
the end of it there should be the RTFM, apropos, FAQ, HOWTO, and linux-il
pointers. Once people get there, the people on the list can help them with
questions.
