Linux Newbie

Hello,

I am a Linux newbie, and I just got Red Hat 4.1 yesterday.
I am having trouble with the XFree86 X-Windows system, configuring my
Graphics card to work.
Ising my supplied Linux drivers doesn't seem to help anything, it has some
problems with linking
the X files to the correct X-Server, and after that all that's left is the
old XF86_Server, renamed, and I have to
copy and link it manually.
I somehow managed to run X-Windows in 320x200 resolution, apparently
using a "builtin driver mode".
I am not sure what this is, but I can't use higher resolutions. If anyone
can help me, I would appreciate it.

Also, is anyone selling Linux CDs, especially Red Hat 5.0 and Debian 1.3.1
in Israel for low prices?

Why am I mailing the list? because there is supposed to be a FAQ somewhere
on-line, which
has a list of people who agree to help newbies, however, I can't find the
list, apparently because
it wasn't uploaded again after a supposed server crash (?).
Where is the FAQ?

I hope I am not bothering anyone, and if I am, I apologize in advance.
