If I don't confuse things, the multi-platform is NetBSD and neither
OpenBSD nor FreeBSD. I have NetBSD and I am quite happy with it,
especially with its simplicity and stability; After all, you cannot
expect a system which does about 1/10 of Linux, even to crash :-)
(relax, relax, I didn't say that my Linuxes crash... It's a unique
feature of MS and Netscape...).
BTW:
Currently, most of the network computers distributed aroung the world
are NetBSD based (ver. 1.21), and since millions (?) are expected to
be sold in a year or two, Linux is going to have a tough competitor
on the "most widespread UNIX"...
Anyway, I know not only about an Intel based NetBSD NCs (e.g. Funai),
but also about other platforms (e.g. StrongArm).
P.S.: If you'll have to mount a Linux filesystem on a NetBSD system,
contact me; It is not so as simple as it looks...
