lazy dude, you could have read the manpage, and told us in your own
words ;)
What is meant is, how can X be made to work without a pointing device.
Such as, for example, adopt the arrow keys on the keyboard, and 3 keys
(Winblows keys ? - don't flame plse - I'd make a design for
penguin-stickers for them ;) as default pointing device. It would be
interesting to extend the concept to using an external hardware pointing
device, such as 4 buttons connected to a game or serial port, which would
be amendable to boxes set up in public places, without a keyboard and
such. I think that the iop program that I have uploaded to ftp2 could
solve the tinker phase, as it can send strings controlled by a switch
attached at some port - this can drive a TCL program - and why not the X
pointer through a pipe ?
