Yeah, but "something" good. JDK 1.2 supports internationalization (and unlike 1.1.x this time it works).
You'll have two problems, though:

1. none of the common browsers supports JDK 1.2 yet. To take care of this problem, check out 1.1.5 which should also have excelent hebrew support (better than 1.1.4 not as good as 1.1.6, however since no browser supports 1.1.6 yet, you're stuck with 1.1.5)
2. you need OS support for the international language (namely - fonts and bidi). I don't know how JAVA reacts to a Linux that has gone through GIUR, I know JAVA has huge differences (= different "features") in hebrew support between NT and '95 so I expect Linux will be a different story altogether (for the worse).
