Yes. You need a floppy rescue boot disk. I highly recommend tomsrtbt (look for
it in freshmeat, as I can't remember the URL).
Download the DOS distribution, which starts from LOADLIN and prompts you for a
floppy, which is then formatted for 1.72MB, and contains a complete Linux
system with all the tools needed for a rescue disk.
boot your computer with the floppy, mount your root partition, and re-run lilo
with the -r parameter to select your root. reboot, and you're done.
NOTE: I *think* your Win95/98 setup should also boot, if it worked before you
upgraded to 98.(did the boot sector change from Win95 to Win98??).
