rpm [RTFM for options]
There is no difference in the way they are packed, just the contents vary.
You want to pay attention to the flags, to prevent 'automatic' stuff from
happening.
For others than RH, the rpm program is available as binary somewhere. It
works the same as the one on the RH disks.
After unRH-ing you get a cpio acrhive or direct files. You know how to use
those.
