ISDN.Net and Linux

Hi all,

Well, it seems many have asked for Linux support - so here whats going
on.

No one here uses Linux (except me), and I didn't have much time to read
all the man pages for connecting to ISDN. I hope in the next few days
I'll be sitting on those pages and write something. (The english FAQ for
isdn4linux is 115 pages...), so I guess that for NOW there is no
official support. However - as soon as I'll find a way to connect my
ISDN modem (I just got the ISDN lines from Bezeq this sunday) - I'll
publish it at our support pages and (if allowed) here. I'll move
ISDN.net connection using Linux to my first priority this sunday.

Now I'll offer a chalange to who got ISDN lines and modem, and wants to
write the script - and it goes like this:

I'm willing to open a FREE 128K account (or 64K) for someone who writes
the script. this account will be validated for a month only (hey, I'm
not going to pay your phone bill though - nor convert an analog line to
ISDN one).

Who are entitled to participate in this "competition"?:

1. Someone who already got an ISDN line and ISDN modem (I don't really
care which modem).
2. If this person has written a script to connect using ISDN and willing
to pass it to me along with specific details how to use it (don't forget
to remove your username and password and replace them with XXXX for
username and YYYY for password).

The terms are simple:

1. Each time, only one user have one week to try to create the script. 7
days passed and no successful script? the account will be deleted.
2. The script needs to be using ipppd and not any graphical (no KDE or
GTK/Gnome) dialer. There are many users who don't use or have X windows.

3. A very good and heavily detailed script will be given 2 months of
128K connection

If you're ready and willing to participate, please email me at:
hetzlinux@isdn.net.il (please, not to this address).

One more thing: would someone finally tell me whats going on about Linux
party? I convinced the marketing department to give some substancial
discounts for a group of people who're willing to connect to ISDN.Net

Sincerely yours,
Hetz Ben Hamo
