no, and yes.

no, unless you set this linux box as a bridge. as far as i know, when a
win95 machine is "looking for machines", it's sending a broadcast message,
and that won't pass over to the other side of the linux box unless it's
set to act as a bridge.

yes, since you can always access a machine directly (via 'find computer'
of the explorer), even if it's on a different LAN.

having said that, your thread may remain on-topic (if askin ghow to set
linux as a bridge - thought i guess there's a HOWTO for that already), or
not, since it's not realy linux-related any more.
