I LOVE this book too. If you have a spare time (and even if you don't :)).
You should read this one.
I think that this is one of the best introduction books to computer
science. Without feeling you learn a lot of the fundamentals (even about
garbage collection and such), and by the end you even program an
Interperter and "Compiler".
BTW: This book is used in the course "Extended Introduction to Computer
Science" In the math school at TAU.
