Kossem yakar,

I need to fix my Imagewriter II (I use an apple //c)

yes, it's fun to use an old version and complain about it, but in your
case, upgrading will only cost you a few minutes of downtime, not more! if
you already have your mind set on recompiling a kernel patch, why not get
the latest and greatest?

your options are:

 - go to linuxhq.com and get the specific solution patch
 - go to above site and get patch to 2.0.33 or even better 2.0.34-06
 - http://mafia.ee.ccu.edu.tw/~jesse/linux/mama/LinuxMama.html has more to
   offer
 - don't let anyone run random binaries on the machine

but note that in none of the above options I have included "send an
annoying one-liner to linux-IL as if they owe me a miracle"
