summing up this last week

what have we learned?

* isdn.net hate linux users, Hetz is our mole, and will cause a linux
infestation from the inside.

* Israelis like Redhat, slashdot.org readers are liars (not to be confused
with hard-core silicon valley nerds and linux hackers who like terse
distiributions like Debian)

* ISPs are more interesting to argue about than political parties.

* it's nice to flame people about website backups or rate of update w/o
first checking facts, or offering help.

* as a general rule the GNU phylosophy is foreign concept to many
Israelis, freedom of speech and sharing information included.

* linux-il is a tool for sociopaths to discuss their misanthropic
tendencies and fear of commercial bodies (corpophobia).

* linux-il readers, with the exclusion of me and Yaron, don't know how to
delete sigs and unimportant paragraphs when replying letters (that's the
most annoying point I brought up up to this point)

* linux-il has a dire need for a moderator, it had had no such position
since Marc dived into oblivion.

* I have twice used the same word consecutively in this post. I actually
remember I once used the word "consecutively" consecutively but I can't
remember when it was. make that three times now.

* Shlomo is abroad

* Ira is a guy

* yaron is a busy guy

in order to fix most of the above mentioned misfortunes, I'll take the
following actions:

* I'm hereby vesting some random omnipotent powers over this list in
myself

* I hereby appoint myself by the power vested in me to do some heavy
random moderation work in here at will. this will include electronic forms
of abuse you'd rather not imagine (so don't test me)

* the next overquote in a reply to a post in the list will win special
treatment from yours truely.

* Shlomo! come home!

* each one of you is hearby REQUIRED (not requested) to submit ONE page of
useful information about linux to yaron within the next two months. this
is both to help the website look like there's something in it, while
collecting a useful archive of hints and advice from users, but more
importantly it will serve as an excuse to your pittyful being.

there's a new bad-ass sheriff in town.
