Comdex
Following the news about the crash of Win98 when Bill opened
COMDEX and tried to demonstrate how stable is Win98: Seems that
the people had the right conclusion, and the lines "at" the
boothes of Linux (between Cisco, Intel, Minolta, and CMP) were
the longest of the exhibition. I wrote "at" in double quotations,
since the lines filled all the pavillion, caused angry reactions
from other exhibitors, and already made some journalist and
reporters to ask: "What is this "Linux" thing? How did we miss
this new trend?". This is even more impressive, considering the
"MS-orientation" of COMDEX. Expect the current frequency of
articles about Linux in important newspapers (once at day), to
double itself, since thousands of world-wide reporters visited
this exhibition.
