I assume you mean both subnets are masqed out through a modem...
ok, if there is routing between the cards (as people mentioned earlier)
then "find computer" should work, but not SAPs because broadcasts don't
pass routers (well, depends on the type of broadcast... not this one)

don't rely on this, there is a chance it may not work. the guy who wrote
the bridging code (no, Jonathan, it does not work with the kernel routing
code, it's based on MAC addresses) says it requires both cards to be in
promiscous mode, and it is preferable not to have the machine bind to an
IP (don't ask me why). if you can have the kernel do regular routing (or
none at all, just tell samba to bind to both cards) and have a 486
throw-away box do the bridging, you may be better off.
finally, a non-linux idea: on my network I simply put a 4-port 100/10
Ethernet switch (two ports are really cheap these days as a bridge two),
put my main server on a 100BaseTX port, full duplex, and spread the other
clients and servers on 100 and 10Mhz hubs on the other ports.
