News about Debian 2.0 going out of the Deep Freeze.
I sent it earlier, but it had a problem, Ariel told me to try this e-mail
address. Sorry if you read it twice. Liran.
Hi.
Debian is out of the Deep Freeze. You can go and check the new web page at
www.debian.org. The new site has some new pages (one of them is a great
explanation of the word free), and the beta announce of hamm (they didn't
put in the ascii art that was in the draft).
Surprisingly, new installation disks (ver 2.0.8) that support PCMCIA
much better (I can quote developers and testers say things in the lines of
"The best PCMCIA installation I have even seen..."), and a bit change of
the UI were released now (after debian became beta). There the some typos
(two small ones in two huge words ...) on the disks, and some error
messages not showing in the right box. (Someone suggested explaining the
2.0.33 people the new FS of the 2.0.34, but I don't think that it will go
in)
If you have any comments about hamm (any problems?) please e-mail me.
Since I'm not subscribed (I'll be back in two weeks) , please CC me any
responses.
Liran.
