Re: a challenge for the smarties...
This (really ridicules) discussion reveals a True (tm) point:
Linux is not yet ready for what I call "office work". It's damn close,
but not quite there. That's the bad news.
The good news are that things are changing - just take a look at the
GNOME project with all it's wonderful things and you will understand
what I mean.
GNU & RedHat working together on a (needless to say Open Source)
integrated GUI for Linux? I'm pretty sure it's going to rock.
So... Just stay put, smile when you hear M$ hype, and if you can land a
hand. The day will come and it is damn close.
Specifically there is a problem with Hebrew, and this, My friends, is up
to US to fix. Linux (and everything around it) is not Open Source for
nothing. It is Open Source so we can change it in the way we want.
If you want Hebrew support, how about writing the code to do it?
You can't always take, sometimes you have to give back.
