prob with Apache

Hi.
I started running the apache web server, but for some reason when I access
any page on the server, it first accesses the DNS to resolve my hostname
(even when I access by IP or by a hostname that is defined in my local
machine in the hosts file) - something about the server itself HAVING to
resolve what I have in the /etc/sysconfig/network file as HOSTNAME

as I have a dynamic IP, my hostname isnt always updated in the DNS.
how do I make it work without the server resolving itself first?

                Regards
