help on dump ! a.s.a.p !

I need a solution a.s.a.p

here is my former email ( to linux-il ), with some changes:
 

running the command:
dump 1usf 208333 sun2:/dev/nrst3
on linux 2.0.32, RH5.0 (installed over RH4.2) Intel Pentium MMX,
i get:

i get a lot of lines (handreds) of :
  DUMP: bread: lseek fails

i ran e2fsck , but there was nothing wrong with my fs
 

notes:

when i do : rsh sun1 ufsdump 1usf 208333 sun2:/dev/nrst3
or        : rsh sun2 ufsdump 1usf 208333 /dev/nrst3
everything works o.k.

the backup tape is a scsi dds2 dat tape (4MB)
it is installed on sun2 ( both suns are ultra1 170e, solaris 2.5.1)
it heppens on each and every one of my 10 cassetes
 
 

any ideas ?
