10 and 100Mbit Ethernet (fwd)

Hi
I installed some new Ethercards at home - Intel EtherExpress 100B's
I compiled kernel support for it and launched the module - and it appears
in ifconfig as follows:

eth2 Link encap:10Mbps Ethernet HWaddr 00:A0:C9:28:42:0F
          inet addr:172.20.20.129 Bcast:172.20.255.255
          Mask:255.255.255.128
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
          TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
          Interrupt:15 Base address:0x6000

Why is Link encap on 10Mbit Ether and does it have any signficance?

btw...
does someone know where i can get a cheap 100M hub?

                Regards
