the little CPU that could
RH 5.1, 32 megs of RAM on a 486DX2-66. Kernel 2.1.124 with RAID 5 support,
three 7gig IDE disks in a RAID5 formation, one big partition shared with
Samba. it's slow synching the disks when it crashes (it doesn't crash by
itself, we stress test it :-) but it's just fine for serving low-bandwidth
needs like streaming multimedia in an office environment... fun project.
pitty we won't be able to keep doing such experiments in the company we
got bought into...
