Re: Weird Linux problem

Sorry for the intervention, but after I had played a bit with UnixWare
and GNU OS (Hurd) I experience a similar problem. YES, the disks are
configured as LBA in CMOS - this doesn't help however, LILO just barfs
about the "cylinder too high". Appending "linear" does help, although
while running /sbin/lilo, it gives warnings. But the problem is that I
didn't need "linear" before ON THIS VERY CONFIGURATION!!! I'm afraid,
either that UnixWare crap or the GNU Hurd have screwed something up
seriously...
