Commercial software is evil. Even if it doesn't cost anything!

So we have Corel Wordperfect 3.1 on our Macintoshs. It works fine. Then we
upgrade to MacOS 8, and it can't print anymore, and it crashes every 15 minutes
(and when I say 15 minutes, I mean 15 minutes). We upgrade to 3.5 (paying for
the privilege) and now it prints, but crashes every 5 minutes. So we upgrade to
3.5+(more money). Now it crashes just the same. Plus, a few weeks ago it got
this new game where very file you save can't be reopened anymore - it claims
that it's "locked". So we edit in 3.1, and print in 3.5. Macs are instable in
general, but Wordperfect is the crappiest program I've ever used on a Mac.

Notice how we had to pay in order to just get it to work. I'm not suggesting
Corel will do this on Linux, but I'm going to avoid using it and wait for GWP or
AbiWord.

And I've spared you my NetObjects Fusion rant. RMS is right.
