let's just say that I've seen it lose 5-7 minutes an hour in severe cases
of high load, a guy I know here in SVLUG told me his machine (an
E-commerce server with a Goliath and two Ppros like mine) would lose up to
56 minutes(!) in one hour, so he always locks it with xntpd to a UP
machine (I find it better than the cron running rdate once a minute). note
that this is not affecting the hardware clock, though.
