it's important to notice that the transfer to glib6 quite reminds the
transformation to 'elf' binary format done some 1.5 years ago or so.
thus, when you are going to install a system without glibc, you should
warn the user that they'll have to re-install the whole system in a while
in order to stay current.
on the other hand - show me a first-time linux user who only installed her
system once and kept that copy for more then 3-4 month, and i'll show you
a very rare species.
thought i agree, RH4.2 will be better, since a lot of people seem to run
into various compile problems of packages under RH5.0, due to the libc
(and other??) differences.
