I agree. We flame them from the 2nd question on, and up.
>web page for Computax @ linux.org.il
I am not in a position to comment on this, BUT I'd like to comment on what
was on the screen at Computax when I went there.
A pretty Milton box was running KDE (blue color scheme), and a lot of
apps, and it looked like the other 300+ computers working in Computax, all
running L95. It was not displaying any Linux-related page (or El-Mar
related page), until I loaded linux.org.il and the linux hardware
compatibility list, as people were asking about compatibility.
I *hope* that this is what people wish to see in a Linux box (I don't),
but just know that my opinion is, that Linux can do it in a *different*
way. imho, fvwm with an icon bar would have been FAR more appropriate. I
was particularly impressed by the high degree of L95 cloning displayed by
the KDE, as both I and Eli had to stumble through a number of unwanted
animations and message boxes until we managed to open an xterm and do
business. (Note: neither I nor Eli use KDE. Nor L95... ).
If people really love them bugs, I have a few suggestions for the KDE
people, to add flags for 'Prompt 3 times for each choice', 'Confirm each
fart' and a truly in-the-spirit-of-the-matter option, of needing to
reinstall KDE to be able to turn these options off. Anyway, the likelihood
with L95 is, well, (shudder, brr), uncanny.
Ok, now I cooled off. If you don't want to start a flame-war, then please
leave this message unanswered ;) (Last: bias warning: I use Slackware)
Anyway, we shall welcome any newbies who come here.
