I tried to recompile the kernel without parallel printer support, and as a
module, but doing that caused /dev/lp1 to be unavailable. The kernel just
compiled /dev/rft* for the tape drive.
I was thinking to try and change the sources of the kernel for ftape (at
/usr/src/linux/drivers/char/ftape). Is this a good idea, and if it is,
how can I do it?
