YES.
Previous versions of Red Hat (Well, 5.0) wanted specific modes. I have _no
idea_ what they are, as I used lftp's mirror function to DL it. Use any
mirror software to get the right perms. Or get i386.tar.gz for it to do an
on-the-fly thing, which'll hopefully preserve modes.
The command I used to make the image for 5.0 was:
mkisofs -a -f -l -L -o /tmp/RH5.iso -R -r -T -v /usr/local/linux/rh5
I didn't use linux to burn the actual CD, because I don't have a burner.
I was going to try and make a 5.1 CD today, but ALL THE DAMN MIRROR SITES
ARE BUSY! The ones I _did_ get give me awful rates. Started at 50+k/sec,
now it's down to 5 at best.

RH isn't that huge. I'd get the contrib dir too. You can erase the SRPMs
dir if you run out of space.

Looks like Gnome's on the CD, KDE was in the contrib last time I looked. I
think KDE's licensing prevents it from being shipped on a commercial CD.
All the goodies (Netscape, gimp, etc) are on the CD, but you might like to
get an uptodate gimp, and a _non_ RPM'd netscape.
I _seriously_ doubt this is possible, but getting StarOffice or some other
office suite on would be great - at least to display at the show (burning
SO on a CD would be illegal).
I'm afraid I can't contribute more than advice on this one ): I'm even out
of Linux Inside stickers.
Bye,
-Yaron.
