Re: Israeli ISP which understands Linux?
Dear Evgeny,
Before all: did I do anything bad to You, personally? Why shall You
go into a bottle without having a good reason for that?
Second, I was NOT offering IsraCom's Internet connection. I simply
advised on EXACTLY formulated question: the cost of ISDN connection.
With no regard to any ISP. Pure comparison between ISDN vs. frame/relay.
Third, before quoting any material NOT belonging to You - ask owners
of that material whether or not this material is still actual/valid
(I mean price list published two years ago by IsraCom - we simply
had no time yet, to update it), at least You might inquiry a proposal
from us.
Fourth, the quality is a function of money... An average T1(1.5Mbps)
international fiber-optic circuit is about $55000 monthly. Add to it
the cost of local loops here and there and the cost of backbone's
connection. How many users (at a real speed) may such a line serve?
Fifth, currently IsraCom sells Internet connection at 56K and ISDN
for $30/month without limitations on usage time. And a frame/relay
connectivity may be achieved for $100/month for 64Kbps, 500MBytes
or $180/mo for 128Kbps, 1GB data transfer. Sorry for not intentional
advertisement. Consider also please, not 12Kbps in average per month -
it has no meaning because it reminds me "the average temperature per
hospital is 37C", but the ONLY 500GB per whole T1 line".
Sixth, I'll not respond to any flame-rising e-mails and this list
is not a proper place for discussions like one just started. So I'd
like to close it immediately. Sorry for not intentional abuse.
Thank You.
