I am not totally sure what you mean by "no framing/signal quality
indicator"...
It has 6 leds:
* PWR for power
* WLNK to show if it has any connection to the base unit
* ETHR which is similar to the led on a NIC, indicating usage.
* QLT (3 leds) --> L/M/H , to indicate quality of reception/transmission.
And I'm not so sure it's $2000 a pop. It was in development when we
started using a unit, and I'm sure it's lower now. If you check products
from other companies, their prices aren't too far from this price.
