boot.img and SCSI

Let say I want to install Linux on the computers with SCSI disks only.
You'll say "So ! what is your problem? Just do it"
And I ask you now what you'll do if your SCSI adapter is support by
Linux (according to
SCSI-HOWTO) but does not appear in list of boot disk (boot.img) and your
not have IDE
on your computer?

You probably say "What are you talking about ?"
I talking about NCR53c7x0
