I disagree with the value of "nice looking site". The first purpose of
the site is to be informative, rather than be entertaining.

Being compatible with Lynx means also that the site would be fully
accessible also to blind people.

Renouncing audio clips means that the entire information would be
accessible also to deaf people. (So far it didn't happen often, but once
in a while I do encounter a Web site which hides its interesting stuff in
inaccessible-to-me audio clips, even when the stuff is not music but a
lecture or something which can be presented just as well in textual form.
AAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!)

Not requiring the browser to display images in order to access information
- means that people can browse the site and QUICKLY find the information
which they really need - if they don't have to spend time loading all
those silly graphic images just to be able to access information.

If you want entertainment, go to www.mtv.com. www.linux.org.il should
help those who are impatiently seeking information.

                                                              informative.)
