like Tuvik said, networking is not a problem, and spice may even run
Linux, but software from Synopsys (two Ys) and Cadance (I'm guessing you
meant Verilog-XL) are not available for Linux, you can still run it
through X on remote machines ofcourse. (small shameless plug: interHDL
does make EDA stuff for Linux, linters, translators and more for VHDL and
Verilog HDL - http://www.interhdl.com/ )

hiving as done with CONDOR can help, but ofcourse only with products that
are native to X86 linux...
