Changing Resources/Defaults of FVWM
Although any part of Linux (except for the kernel) can be referred
as "off-topic", I think that stuff which is used mainly under Linux,
is on-topic, anyway - sorry if you think differently:
I wrote X-resources which causes almost any window manager to replace
its font:
> Mwm*fontList: -my-font-
> NCDwm*fontList: -my-font-
> NCDwm*font: -my-font-
> 4Dwm*fontList: -my-font-
> Dtwm*fontList: -my-font-
> olwm*TitleFont: -my-font-
> OpenWindows*TitleFont:-my-font-
How can I do the same, to FVWM? Is there anyway to set its font
from the X Defaults / xrdb ? And what about other resources?
(for example, both MWM and FVWM have default placement for their
clients. Yet, MWM has a resource which setting it changes this
behavior, and allows the client to set its own placement on the
screen. Does FVWM have a similar option?)
In addition, some window managers (e.g. 4Dwm) can be told by OS
commands (e.g. tellwm) to re-read their defaults. Is it possible
with FVWM?
I am sorry if it is "RTFM", but "TFM" of FVWM is really "F" and
a monster, and I am sure someone on this list already knows the
answers without spending hours on "TFM".
Thanks in advance,
