Re: Visa CAL [was : Need RedHat 5.1 CD]
Just for the record, in a recent survey by one of the security groups, they
could trace no credit card fraud to Internet transactions in the last year. I
wonder if it's just the trouble of tracing the source. Anyhow, it seems to be
pretty safe. The thing that bothers me, is not whether the transaction is
approved by Visa CAL, so far they've approved everything I ordered, but whether,
should a fraud occur which originated in an Internet transaction by me, the
credit card insurance cover it, or would they just shrug it off, since it's a
violation of their terms. I reckon the first option is more likely as it would
harm their reputation otherwise, but would you risk your financial future on it
as an individual that's the point.
