Beaurtifier - an open source reindentation filter for java source files

Hi.

Around a year ago, I created a pure-java, small and fast, automatic
reindentation filter for java source files, named Beautifier.
I desperately needed a reindentation tool that does NOT completely
reformat my sources but rather reindents my source lines, keeping my
style of writing intact. Since I couldn't find such a tool in any major editor or IDE,
I decided to build it.

In an effort to contribute a little to the world of open-source,
I have placed Beautifier as open-source under the "Artistic License".
Beautifier's homepage is http://www.bigfoot.com/~davidsont/beautifier

Perhaps Beautifier will interest and help some of you...

Placing a program under open-source has been a unique experience for me.
After only 10 days since placing news of Beautifier in freshmeat, It has
already recieved around 850 hits, with many many letters of positive opinions,
bug reports, encouragement, and even formal invitations to make Beautifier a
part of the J.O.S. project (www.jos.org) and FreeBuilder project (www.freebuilder.org).

A specific interest I have recieved a few letters about is an interest to have a pure-java
filter that DOES completely reformat java source files into the Java Code Convention style.
In light of this interest, I have started working this week on such a filter,
which I hope will reach its "stable" version within a few weeks ( since I only work on it in
my spare time - which isn't great since I am in the middle of my medical Stag'  ).
I WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE BETA-TESTERS to look for bugs and
comment with thoughts and ideas on beta versions of this reformatter.
So if anyone is interested, PLEASE e-mail me!!

Enjoy!
(and long live Linux!)
