>From the CD-ROM for Red Hat 5.1 I reinstalled using the command:

rpm -Uvh libc-5.3.12-27.i386.rpm --replacepkgs

Then I tried running applixware, and it worked!

So everything seems to be working now, but I have a question about this.  I
ran the "Verify" again and found that there was no longer a problem.  But
when I ran "ldd" again, I got the same line (among the same others) as
above, "libc.so.5 => not found"

Why is this?
