Yes. To save Linux's face, you can't do most things with Windows either.
Word is not WYSIWYG editor, contrary to popular opinion. It's
What-You-See-Is-What-I-Think-You-Should-Get-And-Don't-Try-To-Convince-Me
-To-Do-It-Other-Way-You-Puny-User! editor.
If you have doubts, try working English-Russian-Hebrew with Word97
Hebrew Ed. WordPad can't handle even Hebrew/English well. Non-localized
programs (like Nutscrap) are dead meat regarding Hebrew. In fact, it's
oftenly more convenient to work with X and non-localized program than with
Hebrew Win95 and non-localized analogue.
Basically, I have yet to see editor that can handle at least three
different languages (alphabets, keyoards, etc.) without making me crazy.
Dagesh doesn't qualify either - when I last tried it, it crashed after 1
minute of work. Repeatedly.

Basically, this platform has it's own uses, that's right. I won't take on
myself to advise my boss to move on Linux for her desktop. Would you?
I humbly hope I could do it in 5 years, but even then I doubt it.
