Hi,
samba comes with user-level access control by default. That means that you
can use only shares that the user you logged in as on the WINDOZE can use.
change WINDOZE user to root and try again. It should ask for password.
Also, don't forget to enable SOMETHING in /etc/smb.conf :-) Did you RTFM ?
