Linux on supercomputers (just kidding, it's 80486)

Hello All,

I'd like to install Linux and some software on my new IBM PS/Note 425
notebook
To put things straight, I tell you that it's a 486SX-25MHz, 4MB of good
RAM + another 8MB SIMM(72pin)
which is optional and corrupted at a certain address range :-)
It's got a hard drive 200MB worth, a floppy,  and a 9600 baud modem,
Of course, I could try to add a CD-ROM to the long SCSI chain (i mean,
to the little  IDE connector)
or even to connect an external HP CDRW through the LPT port...

But it would be wonderful if someone from this LUG invited me to his
home or workplace
so I could bring along the fabulous supercomputer with the
small-IDE-to-normal-IDE connector
and we'd compile the kernel for me and install it?

Thanks for your time reading this story
if (i'm offtopic | i'm wasting your (time & bandwidth)) forgiveme();
and in case if you have suggestions where I should go :))
