Current "selective extinction" debate in /.
Hi Linux-il people,
This post might look off topic for linux-il, but I consider it on topic,
because it deals with a news medium which is Linux specific and it deals
also with Israel.
There is a pretty insane debate going on
after some article from Sunday Times was "upgraded" (an upgrade again:).
I don't know this paper but was told that it is pretty unserious.
I have looked into the discussion and saw some things which I think should
be commented:
If arguing in the discussion, some people argued with the population
numbers of "the Arabs"(many) and "the Israeli" (only a hand full).
While these numbers may be correct, such an argument will look very bad
to someone not living in your region. Don't use it.
Arguing with ethics (that Israeli people wouldn't support such a
"weapon") and pointing at the credibility of this English news
paper seems IMHO a better way to discuss the matter.
Enjoy & shalom
