Excellent series of articles that are not biased.
"IS employees in many corporations have secretly installed Unix servers
that provide native NT services." What this world is up to? Conspiracy
against MS? Probably from Republicans.
"Free Unix operating systems have built-in features like IP masquerading.
Windows NT doesn't even do basic IP filtering without additional
software." That's not necessarily true. NT comes with MSIE which filters
out unpopular sites for you.
"Microsoft's recent announcement that it will be offering a Unix services
add-on."
Wounded beast is turning around to see where the spears on it's back are
coming from. They will quietly transform NT into Unix. By then, everybody
will believe that Bill invented Unix.
I have mixed experience with getting W98 up on some PCs. I wonder if
the final release comes with a Viagra pill to get it up :-)
After reading the above articles, Viagra pill is the only hope for NT :-)
