The proposal:
============
1. I am responsible for all the payments (Stier, Bezeq, etc.)
and financing, from MY money.
2. All the incomes from CDs (after substracting the costs, e.g.
media etc.) and other things which will be sold, will be paid
to me.
3. All the incomes from inclusion of Linux consultants and
supporters in the brochures, will be paid to me.
4. I am not responsible for scheduling (somebody has to allocate
people to hours, so the booth will be manned non-stop). I am
not responsible for equipment; Two of you have to bring their
PCs (or find a sponsor to loan a PC, e.g. Dell/Compaq/Newron).
Car's owners (like me) will help in transporting these PCs. I
am not responsible for burning CDs (well, many of us have CDR/
CDRW).
5. I'll be glad to write some "marketing" information. We already
have a volunteer for printing/production (and maybe even
graphics).
I hope to cover (by incomes) half of my costs; I think that Ira
and other past sponsors were more generous than me, and the only
reason that I am willing to pay so much (50% and more of the
costs) is that I already ordered the booth so I don't have many
alternatives (according to the contract, it is too late to cancel
the participation).
Donations are welcome; But this time, contrary to past exhibitions,
I want to give a return for the money: It seems to me fair that
people will have the option to "buy" inclusion of their names and
details in our brochures, so they may make a money out of this
small "investment". They may be people who are looking for a job,
consultants who are looking for customers, employees of UNIX
companies who are looking for support contracts, etc. In addition
to inclusion in the brochures, the presence at the booth (which
must be manned non-stop) may help them too (I think it is fair
that staff of Sela/Xpert/TclTek/others will advertize themselves,
of course IN ADDITION to advertizing Linux!).
In case I will receive more money than my costs (though this case
is so impossible...), I obligate to return the excess donations.
Assuming that I am disallowed to vote, there is already one vote
("yes" by Shachar Tal).
