Msql - don't even think to try it! Mysql is much better then it 
People around the world say that that msql hits its dead end.
If you want more info you can dig the newsgroups.

Postgresql - have no experience.

Mysql - is great, we use it with DB with about 70 000 records and it works
with hurricane's speed. It's stable. You get a new subversion every few
days. You have the X interface and a few web interfaces available. What
can I say go to www.tcx.se and read the benchamrks and pros of
it...
