DosEmu and DOS Viruses

I have a few DOS programs which are possible to contain viruses.
I wish to load them on DOSEMU without exposing other files to the viruses.
I don't know exactly how DOSEMU handles memory management and I don't want
leftovers to remain in RAM or on the disk.
Can this work? :
1. Set up Dosemu to boot from an image and set that in read-only mode (can't
mess up the image).
2. Have drive D: the drive on which programs are installed. This will probably
be a linux drive mapped read-only to a dos drive so that I could unpack and
copy programs to it freely.
3. Set drive E: to be temporary disk space (TEMP and TMP). This image will be
deleted on exit and reconstructed on activation of dosemu.

I think this shouldn't leave any scrap on the disk, but is it possible for it
to leave something in RAM?

Yannai.
