mpeg II cards are better, first you need a very strong processor to run
dvd's and when i mean strong i mean to get it in about 20fps you need
p-300 or even more, as far as video cards goes, i've found "DVD
Supported cards" are usely a lie, and does not add anything but some
software support, yes dvd decoding cards costs alot and i do mean alot,
but it worth it if you want to be able to: 1. run other things in the
background, 2. get a smooth picture and smooth video ( trust me it works
i use p-100 ;) ) and 3. get Dolby sound, as for a dvd-rom i recommend
on hitachi gd-200, which is a very fast and relaible dvd-rom, and as for
dvd decoder, creative's encore does the work preety well...
