I'm not an X guru, but it looks like it does not like element #35 in the
directory. It is possible that you have left some links from the old
installation or that the new one has a little bug ;) If noone else has
seen this, then it's probably the 1st one. Happens to me all the time with
non-standard (Slackware) installations and reinstallations. I keep winding
up with links pointing into the great void.
