Linux service promotion

Hi,

I answer all the other mails in this one to save you reading.

1) as we said at the TA dinner, I want to make a webpage for linux.org.il
that promotes people who service Linux systems (like me :-). This is so that
we can show to potential customers who ask for Linux support that there is a
lot of support available.I also want to manage this page, if possible.
Anyone interested in appearing on this page, please send ME mail with the
following items:

Preferred area of service: Jerusalem/Tel Aviv/Gush Dan/South/North/All of
Israel
Name: Your Name
Telephone(s): 00000000000
Fax: 000000000000
email: asdfsdf@dsasdfasdf.dasfs.df.il
What do you know: Network/User Admin/Sys Admin/Hardware/ etc.
Other OS.: Novell 3.12/Novell 4.11/Win95/Win NT/Amiga/Mac/Atari ST/OS2/ etc.

Don't expect a very fancy page, I am an absolute newbie at this. Any
comment/improvements/ etc. are very welcome.

2) Regarding the lack of PR of ILUG. I vanely tried to organize a dinner in
JM. It seems that there are not enough people here who actively want to
support and promote Linux and it's use. The main problem is, of course, that
Linux is still not enough user-friendly, especially installing programs
(most times installing office 97 is no problem at all and can be done by any
idiot-user). Therefore the only way NOW is to pormote Linux as a background
OS in servers and routers (=internet connection for small network). This
market has a big potential, since now many offices and most schools go into
the internet. I'll happily invest time (and even some money) into promoting
Linux in these areas, but I need more people to join me, especially people
with good connections (Like those with reporter friends). Unfortunately my
Hebrew is not so good, otherwise I won't mind writing articles in English.
