Yes! Great initiative! get on going with it, we are all behind you.
ofcourse, the HOWTOs should be just the beginning. the different FAQs
should come next (e.g. samba's FAQ comes to mind). and then the manual
pages as well.

ziv: you speak of a hebrew editor? what about a hebrew shell?

ok, but seriously, the question should be "if we intend to translate
documents to hebrew, which should be documented, and at which point are we
expecting the user to start learning english?"

one could say that the HOWTOs are enough, to help people get to know the
new system, at which point they'll understand why it's for their benefit
to go on reading the rest of the english manuals.
