Re: PPP problem



Well, i know of a similar problem in 95, when u get connected, modems at
both ends think u r connecte but there is no data transfer on the line.
we call it a "dead connection"
it happens from either a bad line (low SNR - Signal to Noise Ratio) in
which case u got bezeq to blame and need to limit the speed of your
modem with a string, or of bad settings in windows (happens when u put
"log on to network" on enabled or sometimes when you check "use DHCP for
WINS resolution" instead of disabling it.
u might try cutting modem speed with a string - if its a line quality
prob in most cases that would help.
