Plan to buy 4MB of RAM to bring the 486 to 8MB if you want to put it
there. Linux has a boot manager (LILO) parctically built in. I don't know
if this works with L95. Ask someone else on this list. It works well with
WFWG3.11 and all DOS flavors.
Speed is good enough for starters on a 486DX66 (X11), but not less than
that.
L95 is relatively notorious for install problems with Linux on the same
disk. Your mileage will vary.
About money, Peter Skliarouk has ordered a few disks with the latest Red
Hat Linux (5.0), and he is selling them for NIS 15 or so. He is on this
list, at skliarp@macs.biu.ac.il
