Nahum and Uriel,
I'd like to tell you that the opinion of the subscriber who attacked
PF1, does not reflect the opinion of major (at least 90%) of the
other subscribers. Not only because we don't agree with him; But also
because he was led by wrong facts that somebody told him (I guess),
like prices of 700NIS, etc. I don't want to embarrasse him or anybody
else; It is the one who fed him with the wrong facts who should be
blamed.
I am sure that any Linux evangelist was happy to hear about so many
companies who decided to have Linux ports (Oracle, Informix, Sybase,
CA-Ingres, IBM, Corel - just to mention some). Most of those (soon to
be announced) products, are going to have price tags of thousands
dollars, not $69 (didn't you find a cleaner number???). Most will
cost 5-digit prices (>10,000) in Sheqels. But we all love these
companies, and are excited for them joining us.
Everybody wants free software, especially when it is Linux. Actually,
Linux is a tough market for commercial companies. But the potential
is unlimited. Not only for you (PF1), but also for the Israeli Linux
community; We need you. So on behalf of 90% of the subscribers (and
don't flame: "I'm not, I'm not" - I didn't write 100%), I call you:
Go on!
