Re: information

Hi,

The real answer to gideon noah is yes and... yes. There are plenty of native
Linux games: Quake, Doom, FreeCiv, Abuse, etc. There are lots of even more
native Linux games both for X-Windows and for SVGA: action, board games,
puzzles, etc. In addition, the emulation of DOS (dosemu) and Windows 3.1(Wabi)
is nearly perfect. There is huge variety of DOS games that you can play under
emulation on Linux.
There are Linux e-mail clients and text editors that support Hebrew, with
Netscape you can surf Hebrew sites. Furthermore, I am pretty sure that you can
find decent word processor with Hebrew support that can run under Wabi or some
Win'95 emulator. Yeah, sure, it probably won't be your favorite Microsoft Word.
Besides, let's not forget about the Executor -- the Mac emulator. With this
software you can run Mac application on Linux!

The Netscape browser is the best tool for surfing the Web. The native version of
Real Player provides you with streaming audio/video. It is possible to find some
esoteric plugins that have not been ported (yet) to Linux; but hey, one can
even stumble into some IE-"enhanced" Web site. On the 'net everything is
possible. The point is, that you can reach almost 100% of existing Web content
(including Hebrew!) using Linux internet software. The surfing from Linux is
much more enjoyable and safe (sic!) than from Windoze, because you do not have
to reboot now and then.

Enjoy Ms-free environment!
