So far I made no effort to learn Java, having decided to invest my time
in learning other technologies. So I will have to withhold my judgement
about the viability of Java RDBMS.

About posting your opinion to slashdot in behalf of Linux-IL, my reply is:
RESOUNDING NO! NO! NO!

I have nothing against your posting your opinion there in your name (or
anonymously). Your opinion and reasoning are as good, if not better,
than several other opinions seen there. So by all means, post your
opinion there. But don't make it the official position of the Linux-IL
group. Other members of the group surely would disagree with your
opinion.
