Hi,
Ok, yesterday I was a bit stressed and tired. I managed to solve the
Apache thing and the X thing late at night, thanks to everyone who helped.
RH5's libc is in fact broken. Whether or not they said so or not, I don't
care. You go take crypt() out of libc, I want to see some street signs
about it, not a footnote.
For some reason my X server doesn't want to touch gz files now, even
though the same version of everything worked under RH4.2 and on a laptop I
put RH5 on a few weeks ago. Unfortunetly we erased that.
Another issue I have with them is that for some odd reason it decided I
don't need IP forwarding. Took me a while to get that back on
(/etc/sysconfig/network, no idea if there's a GUI for it).
Bye,
-Yaron.
