Well, anybody was newbie some time...

Well, the answer on this question is in 90% of cases in XXX-HOWTO or
ssh-HOWTO. So, anyone SHOULD (or even MUST ;) read the said howto before
posting the question to the list. Anyone who fails to do that, should get
the answer from the list anyway, but with a light-grade flame attached to
it ;).

Well, not exactly. M$ never says cusomers "Go RTFM". It says: "Did you
turn the computer on? Oh, yes??? Still it doesn't work? So it should be
hard problem for which we have no answer presently, but we will address it
on Windows N+3, for some $$$$ to upgrade..." Both answers are not pleasant,
but the first at least *can* lead to result ;)

Not true. Most people can read and write, but there still are journalists,
writers, editors, correctors, etc. Just to be illiterate is a shame, and
to be computer-illiterate - not.

Just take it easy. If I would get a shekel every time I was called "lamer"
- well, I could eat some meal in medium-quality restraunt for it. ;) To be
called dumb isn't a shame, to be dumb is a shame. And personally, if I ask
some question and get HOWTO URL in the answer, I consider my question
answered, unless said HOWTO doesn't cover the topic.
And for flamers: the best flame for FAQ-type question is the exact quote
of the FAQ ;) If the person isn't completely dumb, the message will be
delivered and clue count will be incremented. And if he is, flame isn't
going to help anyway ;).
