You are *NOT SUPPOSED* to have empty lines in your /etc/passwd. And as
far as I know, you are not supposed to have whitespaces in your
username. If you want to have fun stress-testing UNIX, then it's a
completely different matter.

And if there is no /etc/passwd it'll even give an error!
