I didn't say that these OSes didn't need MS. I said that they didn't
need MS *IN ORDER TO RUN WINDOWS APPS*. I.e.: Merge does not depend
on anything of Microsoft. Read my words again.
To remind: The issue of running Windows under UNIX was the
motivation of people here to develop the thread, and one (I don't
remember who) wrote that Microsoft will bundle its sources in
Xenix to allow to run Windows apps, and use the name "UNIX" which
it owns. So I wrote that Xenix is not relevant anymore (SCO-UNIX
replaced it at least 10 years ago), that Microsoft does not own any
UNIX OS (but only 11% stocks of a UNIX company), that the trademark
"UNIX" is owned by The Open Group (and of course not by Microsoft),
and that nothing from MS is needed in order to run Windows under
SCO's OSes; Both already run Windows95, independent of Microsoft
(contrary to Insignia SoftWindows).
