Re: Dinner - suggestion

Hi,

since everyone writes but noone asks the obvious, I have to do it:

Is there any knowladge how many ILUG members live in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv
and Haifa areas ? For most people it'S too difficult to leave their
place (end especially go to someplace nowhere) since we don't have cars
or other means of private transportation (many of us are students).
Therefore my suggestion: Let's have LOCAL linux diners in all THREE
areas. I can't believe that there are not enough people to fill a nice
diner in each area. The meetings are for all of Israel, while I thought
the diners should be more of a local thing.

Anyone interested in a diner in Jerusalem, please mail me.

Another topic: Why not have a page on www.linux.org.il that helps
customers find linux-technicians ? I'll, time & uni permit, make such a
page and ask all interested to appear there to mail me their details. I
would organize the page according to area (JM, TA, etc.).

Comments ?

Schlomo

PS: Ira, what's bad about leaving the previous mails at the BOTTOM of my
mail ? This doesn't disturb anyone (except for a bit more to download)
and gives everyone an easy way to check what we talk about.

Schlomo
