not really.
I'm willing to provide screenshots from my computer doing very cool
graphic tricks.
apearantly screenshots are a good way to convince users to switch to the
"good looking enviroment that can be used to surf, email, and irc and
thats all i do".

better sites cannot win wars.
good arguments can. (in favorite of linux, not "kill bill gates" they
would make us look really like idiots).
people will use linux because its fast, reliable, opensourced.
not because of the appearence of its site.
the site is good to pass information about linux,
that is the big problem, the text is outdated/old.
new updtaed text everyday is a good thing.

linuxberg are commercial and pay their artists.
I believe that they copyrighted the graphics (i just love the
windows-on-fire one).
if there are good artists in linux-il that knows gimp well, he could
work on it.
Maybe if we asked tigert he'll agree (though i think he's very busy
making icons for gnome).
however do not make huge animations but small icons, logo, etc.

I dont know what about you,
I hate these java-full slow-loading graphic-rich not-informative pages.
they're horrible.
but some people like them for some reason.
linuxtoday is one of the least graphic rich sites, it is informative and
i love it.
