Re: Frame relay through Israeli ISPs
Yaron,
Bezeq prices are much higher, than the prices you mention. They might have
reduced their installation prices (which are insignificant in the long
term), but the monthly fee has risen by 40%-50% !
The minimum price for frame relay (64KBPS with CIR=0) is NIS 1570 per two
months.
Bezeq's high prices create ackward situation. It costs $150 per month to
connect from your home to the ISP which might be only a few KM away, and it
costs about the same price to connect to the other side of the ocean via
your ISP (assuming ~$150 per month fee for ISP services).
Anyone knows of other cheaper options for home permanent connection to the
Internet ?
Sattelite ?, Wireless ? Which ISP allows connections using this options ?
Since Bezeq monopoly on the local communication market has expired (since
1/6/99), it is time to create other options.
About Router:
You don't need to purchase an expensive router for home use. Bezeq offers a
web-router for additional installation fee of NIS 600 (they lease it to
you).
