If you really want to be argumentative (I send this comment only because
of your Jewish opinion comment at the top...), you can create swap file,
that with the modification entered in 2.1.132 (and of course in the
2.2.0-pre?) is only about 10% slower then regular swap partition, it means
that if your machine is idling most of the time, it makes no difference,
and most of the newbies machines are idling all the time :-).

This is also not true, but it is better safe then sorry. With newer
BIOSes and harddisks you can boot from any partition (provided it is
marked active...)
