2.0.36 should have modular sound integrated. If not, look on the Alan's
pages for modular sound patches. Or, if you like good commercial software
;), use OSS. It works not bad at all, and is not that expensive.

I think those are parts of omniORB - CORBA package. Maybe GNOME needs
it...

gnome 0.30 is veeery old. I doubt anyone supports it anymore, with gnome
1.x out there.
