2nd message about this subject (was: Re: OT: Job offer in California)
First of all, I have no intention to flame Aviram Jenik. Actually he is
doing us a service by forcing us to define and clarify the scope of
on-topic subjects of the Linux-IL mailing list.

I accept this as sufficient reason.

My opinion - advertise in Linux-IL only jobs in Israel.

Let's draw the line at the appearance of the word "Linux". Any job having
to do with a Linux platform and which needs some Linux familiarity is OK.
This includes sysadmins, excludes Unix offers (if the company looks for
Solaris people, let them advertise in the Solaris-IL mailing list; start
it if it doesn't exist yet), includes Webmasters if they use software
which runs under Linux (Apache, MySQL, Postgressql, etc.). Hardware
technician job ads are inappropriate here. C++ programming is OK in my
opinion, if the project in question has strong Linux ties (such as being
based upon Qt or GTK).

Now let's continue the discussion and formulate policy.
