It's written in C, it's free, it's nice, it deals automatically
with bounce messages, it lets me do what I need to do with other
mailing lists, e.g.:

1. Have admins / moderators who are not subscribed to the list.
2. Have approval requests for moderated lists to be sent to one
   address, while the confirmations come from another address.
3. Have different "preapprove" (don't wait for the moderator to
   approve, send right away) and "moderator" (well, the
   moderator) addresses.
4. Other sick stuff.

So it's not about linux-il, it's about other cs.huji.ac.il
mailing lists.

1000 lines (not linux, with all the respect)?  It will be 5
digests a day, I'm afraid.  Currently, I think that most people
agree about one digest a day.

Apart from that, Listar counts bytes, not lines.
