Samba files recover fails.

Hi,

I use Amanda 2.4.1p1, Samba 2.0.3, Debian 2.1, Kernel 2.0.36 .

When I try to recover Samba backup it fails allways at the same
place:

restore tar file \development\java\Radnet\Lct\install\Lct_hpov\Setup
Files\Uncompressed Files\CVS\Repository of size 85 bytes
restore tar file \development\java\Radnet\Lct\install\Lct_hpov\Setup
Files\Uncompressed Files\CVS\Entries of size 27 bytes
restore tar file \development\java\Radnet\Lct\install\Lct_hpov\Setup
Files\Uncompressed Files\CVS\Tag of size 7 bytes
abandoning restore
Abandoning restore
amrecover>

 amidxtaped.debug

amrestore: 0: restoring zelda.__julia_backup1.19990602.1

amidxtaped: amrestore terminated normally with status: 2

I suspect that it is because of the path length.
What can be the problem?

How can I restore the backup to the local directory on Linux
box and not to the shared Samba partition?

Please, help!
