Of course I realize that these numbers are essentially BS. I think the
fact that the market is bullish on Linux is significant though. I
thought noting the numbers was appropriate, so I did.
A colleague of mine put it quite succinctly - here's a snippet of our
email exchange, which just about sums it up for me (I don't quote his
name, so I don't think I have to ask for his permission):
