That's not an Israeli interpretation. Russian, maybe... Anyway,
I've seen it done in Corporate America. In Listar mailing lists,
-announce is sent to all subscribers of -support and -dev. In
BSDI mailing lists, there's no -announce, but all the
announcements are sent to two BSDI-related mailing lists (so I
get them twice, which doesn't happen with the listar.org lists).

Guy IS nice, polite, and all that. Of the people who argued with
me, Guy was one of the most nice and reasonable ones.

Actually, regarding this point, Guy was the only one against.

I'm also one of two Postmasters and one of several roots for the
machine itself, but it's not important...

I have black hair. Goodbye list, I'm giving you all to my
collegue.
Well, I change my mind. Red-headed are not allowed.
Seriously, I'm fascistic regarding some points, and less
fascistic regarding others. The -announce thingie was not really
important for me, but I thought it's reasonable, and I haven't
got too many disagreeing mails.
Vadik.
