Re: Announcement: The Linux Event

Today, Eli Marmor blurbed:

is this a joke? I've been begging his son Arik to port ICQ to Linux, at
least commandline, since January of 1997... "it's 3 weeks away from
finishing, if I can find those three weeks!" was the reply I got. Now
$350 million and 100 employees later Mirabilis has still no intentions
of giving the Linux community a propper treatment, even though there's a
much higher procentage of internet savvy and internet addicted users in
that group. I don't think a lecture about the importance of users,
especially in a Linux event, given by a major share owner of Mirabilis
is in place. I'm forced to use micq for quite some time now and you
can't imagine how annoying that can be.

that said... I'm also sad to point out I will not be at thew mentioned
event, but I may be moving back to Israel a month or two later... could
anyone get a Video camera and shoot this for me (and posterity,
naturally)

Thanks, Ira
