Re: hdb error when running KDE
I have done some checking here on my Linux. I think you can safely ignore those
errors. Here is why.
Redhat 6.1 with KDE got some modifications. It runs on the background the
program "kscd" which means that if you put a music CD, it will start playing it.
If you put a data CD, it will mount it and open a browser (kfm) window. If
you'll put the Redhat 6.1 CD -- it will run the Kpackage program for
installing/removing programs..
My suggestion - if you're not a newbie, disable it in the /usr/bin/startkde
program.
And those errors - are because the program tried to read your CD-R while there
isn't any CD on it :)
