There are also pointers in the Parallel Processing HOWTO (same place
as above) - Although I certainly haven't tried any of these. BTW,
they say there that plip can achive 1.2 Mb/s - I wonder. Just search
this file for SPP (Standard Parallel Port).
Also, you can look at Linux Parallel Port Home Page at
http://www.torque.net/parport/, which has pointers mostly about
devices that connect through the SPP, and not about connecting 2 PCs.
On a second thought, you can use such a device to move data to your
laptop - If your original problem is not having a CDROM drive on it.
I really hope the extra info compensates for the double mails ...
