Instead of more guesses and speculations (yes, I read all the
announcements of Compaq), if this issue is not urgent for you, and
you can wait a month, I would advise you to come to the Linux event.
Since Compaq is one of the organizers, and since Compaq is one of
the sponsors (and believe me - it is not cheap), they must have some
Linux offerings there. It will be a good opportunity to see them.
Somebody wrote that Compaq is big, so one can know something that
another doesn't know. I am sure that the Linux experts of Compaq
will be there to answer your questions. Maybe you even know some of
them. For example, Amit Margalit, an ex-subscriber of linux-il and
the author of some known open-source Linux packages (e.g. XBanner),
is employed by Compaq, and one of his duties, is Linux support. I
don't know if he will be there, but I trust Compaq to bring their
best Linux people.

Regarding to Ira's proposals: Yes, I remember that discussion, and
I even remember that I proposed to call it "linux-ill" (just as a
joke ;-). I have another idea: Israelinux (and not because it
contains the name "eli" in it :-). Now try to imagine it written on
the chest of Tux the penguin, in Hebrew, and with Israel flag in
his hand; Isn't it cute?
