parport and scsi
hi
I used to use a CDR through parport (i.e. pcd and pg)
now I recompiled the kernel with scsi support (as a module)
from now on, doing insmod pcd, i get 'slave is not a cdrom' though it
finds the cdr, and the cdr blink it's led.
the insmod pg, works. either with no parameters (loades pg0) or with
driveN=0x378
(loads pgN).
using cdrecord -scanbus, finds my scsi disk always on the same scsi-id
as the pg,
i.e. if i load pg0, i get my scsi disk at scsi-id 0, if pg1 i get my
disk at scsi-id 1 etc...
so whenever i use cdrecord, i get an error this is not a cdr.
though /dev/sda alawys find the disk as scsi-id 6
using cdrecord dev=/dev/pgN does not help
any idea ?
regards
erez.
