(If you installed lilo on the MBR of the first disk - the usual
configuration)
you still have to remove lilo from the MBR. The simplest way of doing this
is with DOS's fdisk, using the undocumented /mbr switch:
C:\> fdisk /mbr
will install dos's stuff on the MBR (also useful in some cases to remove
dos MBR viruses...)
