The best solution for your needs is probably the SAMBA suite, which
implement the SMB protocol for Unices, including Linux. It will
accomplish what you want "At
the minimum". What was your maximum, btw? ;-)

You didn't supply details as to what distribution and such, but with
most modern distributions SAMBA is installed by default.
Chances are that you need only edit the config file and restart the smbd
and nmbd daemons.
Hint: Read the SAMBA Howto, probably found at /usr/doc/HOWTO on your HD
or on the web.
2nd hint: If you're the non-patient type, start with editing
/etc/smb.conf ;-)
