QT/KDE upgrade (was Re: Long file names)
Hi,
Thank you all for the "Long Names" Q. Of course it was the vfat option in
my mount command.
May be I can get u'r help on another subject 2 ?
I'm trying to upgrade my KDE1.0 to KDE 1.1. I'm running a RedHat5.2 and
while trying to
rpm -Uvh qt1.42-*rh*.*.rpm
as the install file recommended I got the following error :
"failed dependencies
qt = 1.40 in needed by kdebase-1.0-4rh51"
KDE 1.0 is the old version.
I have "mv /opt /tmp/opt" AND "mv /usr/lib/pt /tmp/qt" So they will be out
of the way but with no effect.
I also : "find / -name 'kdebase-1.0-*'" And did not find such a file on my
comp.
Any idea on what that message is trying to say and and who to fix it ?
Thanks
Erez
