[BiDi plugins] Version 0.0-001 of the plugins interface has been released
Greetings to all Linux-IL Hebrew-deprived participants,
Version 0.0-001 of my proposed plugin interface is at last ready for your
review and use.
Big thanks are due to Guy Keren for reviewing version 0.0-000 and making
several helpful suggestions. Thanks to his suggestions, the interface now
is much cleaner than it was previously.
I also wish to thank Dov Grobgeld for his cooperation and willingness to
improve his FriBidi code so that it can be used in plugins, which will
implement the BiDi algorithm.
The URL is:
http://www.weizmann.ac.il/~xlacha1/plugins.html
Read, enjoy, contribute, criticize, and even (ahem) flame.
The next few tasks:
1. Implement a plugin interface in a simple editor (such as ae).
2. Implement a plugin interface in pico/pine.
3. Implement an highly-configurable latin plugin for miscellaneous
rendering tasks of Latin text.
4. Implement a BiDi plugin with Dov Gorbgeld's fribidi code.
5. Start defining level 1 of the plugins interface.
