all true, but since I use crypt to crypt password for the linux password
file , and I do need linux (or init, or login, or whatever reads these) to
be able to understand what I've written - I think I don't have much say in
the matter. sides - this isn't 'refael' or 'aman' or something - it's just
a local machine with low bandwidth and limited uses. who will wont to hack
it ? (not to mention taking 22 hours to do so, which will probably
quadruple or something due to the slow connection).

that's the most important fact of security - if you're hard to acces and
not important/intresting - no one will hack you !
