the routing table _looks_ ok.

you don't need routed - that one might be usefull for dynamic routing, not
for static routing.

how exactly are the client machines that are placed on the '15.15.15.0'
subnet configured? what netmasks? what IP numbers? what defualt gateway
address? etc. etc. etc.

also, the output of 'ifconfig -a' might help.

not sure if this is a feature of the shell (i.e. check if you got a
variable defined in it, named 'autologout' - at least this is used in
tcsh to specify after how much idle time to automatically exit the shell)
or if you have such a feature in the telnetd daemon (try reading its
manual page)
