"Alpha quality" X server from
http://glide.xxedgexx.com/3DfxRPMS_vb_glibc.html is pretty good,
(only problem that sometimes it doesn't start successfully on my Banshee).
You will get any resolution supported by card.
Creative has their own X server for 3D Blaster Banshee, very stable
but lacks some features.
Another alternative may be Riva TNT/TNT2, but I heard that nVidia's
X server for TNT2 has problem with refresh rate on high resolutions.
