is there a web site where you (intend) to post the translated HOWTOs?
i'd assume linux.org.il is the proper place, but i don't know what's the
situation with placing the files there on a timely manner.

so that's what that kiddonet address is all about.. oh well.

unfortunatly i'm already doing two other things by now, so i don't want to
make any more promises. but maybe a few other people would like to say "i
will do a single HOWTO, so i will be able to say that i contributed". if
you get 10 such vulenteers, that'll allow you to pass the "critical" mass
of translated documents.

and i think you can add to that list a "redhat installation HOWTO" that
yonni started working on, which after 1-2 weeks of editing and enhancing
could become the first original-hebrew, non-translated HOWTO... yonni -
keep on working on it...

the fact that the scope of the translation was defined in a limited
manner, and the good reasoning (help people get over the first steps in
their native language, and after that they'll have more courage to
continue with the english documentation).
