If you didn't specify any name with -o execname, then the resulting name is
a.out .
If you know the name of the file try typing it. If it doesn't help try
/filename .
Try man g++ for more info.

The only file you need to edit is /etc/X11/XF86Config.
Try pressing ALT+CTRL++/- (+ to increase and - to decrease the resolution).
