Yes.
What do you mean, what should be the configuration? Just set
it to the proper port, ttyS0 or whatever, set the speed in
the options file, fire-up pppd and that's it.
The PPP-HOWTO supplies more detailed information, as well
as the documents that come with the ppp package (README.linux?)
For Win95 it's called 'Direct Cable Connection' if I'm not
mistaken.
