improve this document before publishing it:

The Linux Conference - Tel-Aviv, February 25, 1999: CREDITS
===========================================================

linux-il / ILUG (Israeli Linux User's Group)
lecturers
sponsors / organizers
other volunteers
According to the feedback we got up to now, the Linux event was very
successful, and attracted a big audience, who enjoyed and loved it.
I, personally, received many "thanks" from people and visitors, some
through the mailing list of ILUG, and some through other ways.
However, there are many others who contributed to this effort, and
deserve thanks. All of them were helpful, and the help of some was
so important, so nothing could happen without them.
The purpose of this message is to credit all of the helping people. I
hope I didn't forget anybody; Please forgive me in case I forgot...
Sponsors:
--------
Before anybody else, let me thank the companies who financed this
event. We contacted many companies, and these were the only who were
willing to help. It must say something about their seriousness and
commitment to Linux:
* Oracle Israel
* Compaq (DEC) Israel
* PF1 Systems
Organization:
------------
Natan Gavish and Dana Blechman of Oracle Israel did a great job in
organizing the event. They also hosted the meetings, managed the
negotiations with the various bodies (e.g. People and Computers),
etc. Thank you!
Lectures:
--------
I want to thank all lecturers:
* Dr. Yossi Vardi, ICQ
* Dr. Joel Isaacson
* Nahum Greenberg, PF1
* Haim Rotenberg, Oracle
* Prof. Amnon Barak, MOSIX/HUJI
* Marek Roll, Compaq
and especially Yossi, Joel and Amnon, who didn't have any commercial
interest in lecturing, but still were willing to do it.
Installations:
-------------
Special thanks to Seva (PF1) and Yoni Elhanani, for spending many
hours for setting up the computer. Thanks also to some of the
lecturers, who used their Linuxes for the lectures, and by this,
saved us some demonstrations (e.g. we didn't need to install and
demonstrate Wine, thanks to Joel who already has it and use it).
Thanks also to everybody who offered his help but couldn't come, or
came but couldn't help because the computer was busy (Ofer Maor,
thank you!).
Translations:
------------
Thanks to Omer Zak and Iftach Hyams for translation to English.
Internet Connection:
-------------------
Thanks to IBM and ActCom, who offered us a free frame-relay line.
Unfortunately, we couldn't use this gift, because of un-fair policies
of Merkaz-HeYeridim. NO thanks to Merkaz-HaYeridim.
Misc.:
-----
Uriel Ben-David (PF1), Yossi Eliani (Compaq), Hetz Ben-Hamou (?; Do
you have a new employer?), and anybody I forgot.
Last but not least:
------------------
Everybody who came, visit, enjoyed, or even only tried to come.
See you again at April, in the next installation party (anybody
volunteers?)
