do you want to be affiliated with just one hardware company and show off
at a corner of his tiny booth? we already had our own booth once and it
was partially financed for us by DEC Israel. Afterwards the guy at DEC
got scolded by Maddog (then a DEC employee) on not helping us with the
full sum.
4 years have passed and things have changed a lot. I do believe that we
can get Radix, Compaq, Magic and mainly SGI to sponsor a full size booth
for next time. 4-6 machines running demos will make them very happy (I
talked to the guys at the booth at Computax and they were very
enthusiastic about SGI Linux and the coop they have with the community
(well, trying to). let's get through 2-3 more meetings and start doing
that.
