RedHat 6.0 Beta is Available
Did anybody try it? Mirrored it?
I liked mainly the 4 reasons why to use this beta:
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Red Hat engineering team is happy to announce the availability of Red Hat Linux
Starbuck.
This is a beta release of Red Hat, and we don't encourage folks using it for mission
critical applications. However, like most Red Hat beta release, it is quite good for:
1.Taking up the extra space on CDs used primarily to store mp3s
2.Installing on your roommate's machine
3.Justifying yuor late nights to your wife
4.Getting every last penny of value out of your cable modem
We've created starbuck-list@redhat.com for discussion of this beta release. To
subscribe, send a message with "subscribe" in the subject line to
starbuck-list-request@redhat.com.
We're all off to hide in a corner now and suck our thumbs.

I guess it contains all the newest stuff:
* kernel 2.2.3
* GNOME 1.0.3 (with many patches to the first 1.0)
* GTK+ 1.2, GLib 1.2
* KDE 1.1 (but not as the default)
* Enlightenment-DR0.15.4 (with many patches to the first 0.15)
* Samba 2.0.3
* glibc-2.1
* BIND-8.2 (NEW!)
* and a lot of more exciting stuff
Wow!
