Here's my senario:
Someone got your letter, thought, hmm heres a nice guy, hacked your box
and fixed the problem. but then he read the first part of this messages
(Never heard -> I don't bother -> my hands) so he hacked your box again
to unfix what was fixed.
Seems logical, kinda like the first section of your mail!

Read the manuals. A hint ? well, there's bash(1), tcsh(1) and X(1).
