or better yet - and an initial 'class' (or lab, if you find how to do

about PC architecture - basic info about hardware, the boot process
(BIOS->OS loader->OS startup..), disk drives (conterollers, maybe
master/slave issues and a few jumpers examples, partitions and partition
tables), Buses (something general about the PCI bus), memory and virtual
memory. it would be very usefull to open up a PC and look at its parts
with the people in the class, so they'll feel the "iron" (barzelim) that
serve them. if you don't delve into too many details, it is possible to
give this info in a single lab, and then send the pupils/students who know
more to explain things to those who know less.
