Re: can't get X started



Hi,

I have the SAME configuration as you.
I had the same problem as you did.
I tried all the workaround possible and impossible to get the ATI work.
(Yes, tried changing the DevId and RevId too.) Nothing worked for me.
After about 2 weeks of sleepless nights, when I finally decided to give
up and change my ATI card (or my OS - oh my god, it seems I was
lost....), I reeinstalled Linux from zero!.

Guess what: every thing worked OK.

I still don't know what the problem was. If you find out, i'll be happy
to hear!
