True Type font support - and a vmware note...

Hi All,

I got 2 questions (if you don't mind):

1. Redhat 6.0 got this X font server (XFS) - what is it and why do I
need it? can I use it with True Type fonts from Windows?

2. IF the X font server from Previous question is not for using with
true type fonts - what is the best and EASIEST solution to use true type
fonts with Linux? Linux fonts that comes with X are horrible (and I'm
very polite here), and it's impossible to use if you try to read web
pages like C|Net, ZDNet, and many others..

One more thing (which is offtopic) - VMWare version 0.80 came out for NT
last week. Why do I mention it? cause I know many of you here run NT at
work - and now finally they can run Linux under NT :) .. The performance
ain't bad, the text looks pretty funny (just like those full screen DOS
sessions on notebooks), and X windows with Gnome/KDE runs very well (I
still got problems with sound configuration, but I guess I'll find out
tommorow how to fix it). All in all - worth a try....

Thanks,
Hetz
