>From my experiences: usually, bank clients use crypto. Usually, crypto
modules for Java are written as "native" (i.e., not multiplatform) code -
crypto on pure Java would be deadly slow.
Thus, you have many chances that it won't work on Linux... This is easy to
test, I think - if the installation contains any .dll's, .exe's, .ocx's,
etc. - you are done, Linux is out of the question.
