Oooohwah.
You can easily mount fat partitions anywhere for r/w access (unlike
ntfs).
do it like you mount any other filesystem but instead of "-t ext2", do a
"-t vfat".
you can add it to fstab as well if you want partitions to automaticly be
moutned.
(yet another one for the FAQ - many people use fat instead of vfat and
can't see long filenames)

wine/dosemu are totally different things.
They try to emulate win/dos and try to run the executables.

If by "reading" the files you mean understanding them,
it's a whole other issue,
many files such as ones created by office can't be fully decyphered
using any linux tools.
