Why are you using minicom ? It may be that so far there is no problem. The
reason that you are disconnected might be that your ISP get no response for
its PPP connection so it is hang up the line. I do not have RH so I can not
say more but try using the PPP-HOWTO and/or RH specific tools and get back to
the list if you'll have more problems.
Another option is to call your ISP help desk. I am told that NetVision claims
to support its Linux users.

I have never configured a printer, but I believe I have read that the 550
model can be regarded as a starting point.
