imho, forget the camera, buy or rent a video camera instead, and a bttv or
Philips/Zoran based PCI video capture card. The capture quality will be
sensibly equal to the camera or better if you use 8mm or Hi8 or SVHS video
sources. You also get to do post-cutting (capture from film) so you have
FAR fewer chances to spoil a picture. The capture cards go for as little
as $75 and you get a TV for free ;)
