I use Gnome. KDE is all right in everything except for its speed and
memory requirements, but that's enough for me in order not to use it.

First, remember that Gnome is not out yet; second, it depends what
distribution you're using (if it's Debian you just write "apt-get
install gnome-session gnome-utils ..." and it will fetch all the
required libraries for you -- basically you don't have to do
anything), and third, it has to do with the fact that it's run on top
of another window manager so you need to do double work to install it
(both install it and the window manager you're going to run it with).
