yes, and no. no - they may charge as they will, and those who'll buy it -
will buy it. for commercial companies, this price is almost meaningless.
the problem lies with the "original" audiance, students and other people
with low-to-nil income. for them, to buy a free operating system for over
300 NIS is not reasonable. they'd rather download it using a modem for 3
or 4 nights for a few shekels, even if it is inconvenient. and me - i
won't buy it, since i don't need to commercial products that come with
official redhat linux - i'd prefer buying it from cheapbytes, and i don't
see any company intending to import those cheap distributions any time soon
- it's not profitable enough for them, i guess.
ofcourse, unlike some other people here, who claim to represent the list -
i only represent myself. i'd like to take this opportunity and ask people
to stop claiming to represent the list - the list had not nominated a
spokeseman yet, did it?
