Well, you're entitled to have an opinion of my behavior,
I dont think that having an opposing opinion is whining.
I can say (for example) "Bill Gates is making money selling lousy
software"
and you'll say that im whining and I'm jealous because he is rich and if
I dont like it I can fuck off.

My honest mistake.
I thought the email was fake.
(it was not the email I have recieved on the mail header)

Well, you're not in it now.

not idiots, lamers. (yes I know lamres are "hediots" but thats not
idiots)
lamers could be geniuses too, they just have to learn.
In a parallel, I would consider a baby that dont learn how to talk,
and when he tries to, he is replied: "shut up, if you dont know how to
talk, dont try".

That's not true. (for this case)
While the poster have tried to solve its CVS problem by downloading the
tarballs,
he couldnt succeed. That means he did try something.
The mistake he did is by linking the file he tried to download to the
linux-il mailing list, but he didnt do anything wrong as Gilad suggested
(gunzip).
_IF_ the file was related to linux-il then his question would be very
legitimate.
however, sending mail to the wrong mailing list is very incosidirate
decision.
IMHO he does not have to get flames, rather than a "wrong list" personal
email.
but my email was not because that I think that the poster should send
off topic emails to the list, but because of the "dont ask stupid
questions policy".

well, I thought that this place is for questions.
I see many questions posted here.
If anyone directed his questions only to the volunteers that would be
worst,
as they are "forcing" the volunteer to answer rather than another member
of linux-il.

I can only hope you are saying that as a joke.
Social darwinism is what you are reffering to. (newbies are shit)
