Adaptec-2940UW hangs...
Hi,
I've just installed an Adaptec-2940UW (my old 1542 controller has gone for
good...) and
I can't get Linux to boot ever since. I probe the devices and they're OK, the
termination is
correct (I even tried a few configurations including removing some devices), DOS
boots OK.
When I try to boot Linux I get the messages:
(scsi0) <Adaptec AHA-294X Ultra SCSI host adapter> found at PCI 9/0
(scsi0) Wide Channel, SCSI ID=7, 16/255 SCBs
(scsi0) Downloading sequencer code... 419 instructions downloaded
and it hangs. Suggestions anyone...
I'm using Debian 2.1 with kernel 2.0.36
