CVS get stuck sometimes in certain files but it continues.
dont give it up if you have to use CVS.

it is not the place to ask about "your" program.

Wrong.
he didn't do anything wrong, the file was corrupted.

That would produce the same outcome as if he had gunzipped the file and
the untar it.
(although it is more comfortable to gunzip via tar)

Yeah, that's your email. i just sent all my internet passwords to there,
go fetch it.

If somebody has a question, doesnt matter how stupid it is he can ask it
in here.
although this was fairly unrelated, (why ftp to a remote server doesnt
work)
a question like "how do i use gzip, i hadnt found a howto on it and i
dont have a book" is an ok question to ask, and thats the idea of LUGs.

considering your wrong answer to him (gunzip unzip only pkzip files) I
dont think you have a say on "what is stupid" around here.

(although I ask some fairly stupid questions too from time to time...)
