StarOffice 5.0 for Linux in PC-Plus magazine, BUT...

Hi to all,

In case that you are interested, the February PC-Plus magazine, comes
with StarOffice 5.0 for Linux, + kernel 2.0.36, as well as quite a few
articles on Linux.

BUT - Trying to run the staroffice install program resulted in a
"need to boot situation" after it has grabbed all pointer and keyboard
inputs, and got stacked, no C-A-D nor C-A-BACKSPACE, no switch to
other terminals, nothing helps, but plain hardware reset !, seems that
they are bringing M$Windows features into Linux.

I have no Idea why, I was not running it as root, cause I wouldn't let
any install program do anything I can't know of.

Perhaps it was looking for the network, I have no Idea.

Although I don't really need the office, I hoped I could test it out.

Any suggestions ?

   Regards,
