My observation was even more gloomy, since I've been there,
yet I didn't even get to the SGI stand.
Also at the Jobs fair, it was pathetic what few Linux positions exist in
comparison to other OSs. If this year should be the industry-wide
breakthrough
for linux, and most of Israeli companies are still in the Windows age,
our future as a Hi-Tech Country is at risk.
That's one issue to ask Maddog to talk about, how Linux gained
public trust abroad, what can be learned from that,
how to speed up the process here,
and perhaps an even more general discussion about
open source/free software businesses, which i haven't seen anywhere around.
Well, these are my topic suggestions.
Let's use the man's broad experience to boost Linux in israel.
