This is called "shared code segments", IIAC. And shared libraries, too.
Basically, every copy of same program uses same code (i.e., code memory is
allocated once) but multiple data. Every descent system does this,
including Linux. The question is - if it's application server for
Xterminals, you should choose OS basing on your user's preferences - you
couldn't run HP/UX programs on Linux machines or vice-versa.
