[Consultants-Howto Annoucement] Getting Databased

Hello,

My name is Mr. Poet and recently took over the responsibility of
maintainer for the Linux Consultants HOWTO. In an effort for the
transition from Martin to myself to be as effective as possible he has
made your email addresses available to me.

Your address was made available to me because you have requested to be, or
are already placed in the consultants how-to from the Linux Documentation
project. I am here to ensure that this happens but first let me apologize,
some of you have waited a long time to be listed and I am currently
working as fast as I can to get the document fully updated.

One of the ways I am doing this is by stream lining the process. The first
step that I have made is to create a SQL database to house all of the
HOWTO information. This database is available at
http://www.linuxports.com. The purpose of this database is to allow:

A. Easy Support (soon consultants will be able maintain their own records)
B. Search Ability

The current format of the howto is great for reading but not for
digging for information. Although we will always provide the traditional
formats we plan on making the document completely searchable by
geographical region and or specialties.

That said I would like to ask, that although I do have your information
and that I will be inputing it as fast as I can, if you could possible
visit http://www.linuxports.com and select "Add Consultant" from the menu.
It should only take a few moments of your time and will definately speed
up how quickly you will be entered into the Howto.

As much as I don't want to put priority on any consultant, I must implore
you to use this database. The consultants that use the database will be
entered first due to the automation scripts I have written.

However it is difficult or to time consuming please do not fret you will
end up listed, it will just take a bit longer.

Thank you for your time and patience and if you have any questions or
comments please feel free to email me at poet@linuxports.com

Sincerely,

Poet
