my benchmark is 'time dd if=/dev/zero of=tmpfile bs=100k count=500'
time from sun to sun 23 seconds (both 170e, disk is scsi, though)
time from linux to sun (linux has disk, command exec at sun) is 3 times
( dont remember exeactly); linux is 2xPII 333, ide disk.
