ISDN.net connection with Linux

Recently I've got an account at ISDN.net and it took me 3 days to
configure the ISDN access under linux. So i would like to share the
knowledge I gained in hope that it will help others. I use RedHat 5.2
and AVM FRITZ ISDN.

The basic instructions are very well described at Actcom ISDN HOWTO
which can be found at:
http://www.linux.org.il/isp-scripts/actcom_isdn.html

This the HOWTO you should follow with one difference: the ioptions file.

here is mine:

/dev/ippp0
lock
noipdefault
passive
+mp
defaultroute
-detach
name inXX/YourUserName

the server uses CHAP authentication so edit the chap secrets file, not
pap.
+mp means point to multipoint protocol.

i hope it will help.
