It's not quite that clear cut. Over the last few months I've bought a lot of
books from both Amazon and Bookpool.
Usually Bookpool's prices are cheaper than Amazon, but their S&H charges are
higher. (I use the DHL 21 day option. The books come through Amsterdam and
onto Israel by regular airmail.)
For each order, you need to do a "shopping basket" evaluation for both
suppliers and see which is cheaper INCLUDING S & H.
Amazon's post sales service is good (I had one book go astray, and which they
replaced free of charge within afew days of my complaint. Under the above mode
of shipment, they are not obliged to do so.) On the other hand, Bookpool
manages to honour the 7-21 business day shipping timetable better than Amazon.
I am not convinced that FatBrain has anything unique to offer.
