I don't see how a bunch of people sharing their experience with different
interpreters is a `interpreter war'. Someone was looking for a way to do
things more efficiently than with /bin/sh. One guy said Perl, one other
guy said python, and Omer and I commented on the fact that using
interpreters for creating system level applications requires speed,
efficiency, a wealth of implementations and clean and usefull syntax.
While python has a cleaner and more easier to understand syntax than Perl
(at least when you are a beginner), in doesn't come near in the other
categories.
We were just pointing that out, for the sake of posterity, or something
close :)
