I tried Slackware RH and Debian and only after that I completelly
switch to Debian
Usually .deb packages containing configuring script which allow
you to change default config (usually default one does not meet my needs)
at package instalation time and reconfigure it later in the same way from
scratch or change some options. .rpm does not have it at all in most
cases. I mean sendmail, apache, ... packages. Trust me it is very
suitable. And also you need not any graphics to use frontend to package
manager :) Debian contain an 'alien' package which can automagically
convert packages from any to any format (I mean .tzg,.rpm,.deb)
