hardware question

hi everyone!

I want to buy a new PC which should (mostly) run my thesis (can run in
parlell machine) and i am considering 3 options...
(Computer should run X86 Solaris (preferred) or Linux)

1. get a normal BX mother board and intel 350 PII.... (orthdox)
2. get AMD K6-2 380 (which will get me better preformance but i wont be
able to run Solaris on it)
3. get dual processour board and 2 celeron and overclock them to 350
Mhz... (now thats the radical option)

all options cost more or less the same.

questions....
can celeron run on a dual mother board ?
how much heat will it create if i over clock both celerons? (instead of
just one)
is there some new protection which prevent overclocking celerons?
have you had any experience with the less orthdox (2,3) settings?
any suggestions?

thanks in advance

p.s. for those of you who wander why i haven't checked a sparc machine
(espcilly if i favour solaris) the reason is .. i have...
E&M computers wants 5400$ for a new Ultra 5....
(128 MB memory , 333 Mhz , 9.1 HD)
