See, using Linux for sending mail would save you and all of us such an

First check whether the file "/usr/bin/make" is really absent, maybe it
simply isn't in your PATH for some weird reason?  

And of course RedHat 5.2 has make. It is in the package make-3.76.1-5, so
if you cannot find the above file, this means that the package wasn't
installed (you didn't choose to install it during the setup).  Grab your
RH disk and install it.  Simple, he?
