As far as I know - the default bash is dynamically linked and not
statically.
So is my tcsh. my /lib sits under the / partition, and not in a seperate
one. I have no problem with that. In certain places, I DID recompile a
statically linked tcsh or sh, for that matter.

Again - in most linux boxes installed out of the box now a days, the default
shell and the tcsh have the same accessibility. In commercial systems, I
either make sure the tcsh and its libs will be all under the / partition, or
compile a static one. But most people who ask a question like this in here,
want a simpler answer - and I think I have given a rather fair one :-)
