Netscape always crashes. It's just a crappy program, you can do nothing
about it. Too bad we haven't now anything to replace it.

with about 170-180 entries (yeah, I don't like to cleanup :) took
significant time for it to display. But a new version did improve in this
matter and now it's bearable. So I think you just need more memory - KDE
is memory-hungry.

make it 64M instead of 32M.
