  Interesting. I am moving my lists from majordomo to mailman.
Mostly to get a) away from perl and into python b) a web interface
and c) a news <-> mail gateway.

  I'd be curious to know why your final choice fell on listar

  The behaviour of majordomo is quite reasonable: a digest is sent
when the compounded messages hit the 1000 (configurable) lines threshold
or if a day (week, month) passes with some traffic.

  With the 1000 linux + one-day check, linux-il-digest will usually
generate one digest a day, sometimes two.
