DHCP connection problems

Hello, all !

I've installed RH 5.2 only a few days ago, and I'm having problems with
my network adaptor (I'm using a cable modem).
Linux recognizes the adaptor correctly (IRQ, PORT) as NE2000 compatible.
It also detects my MAC address correctly.
The next step is trying to connect to a DHCP server. It takes a lot of
time (comparing with Win98, which I use perfectly), but after a while it
finishes "successfully" (or so it says).

When running Fvwm95, the network configuration doesn't show any DHCP
connections, IP address, etc. Of course, netscape can't find a DNS
server...

In spite all that - pinging IP's work. (Which means there is a physical
connection to the network).

Any help would be very appriciated !

10xs, Itay Kishon.
