Re: X server for WinNT
One more word regarding to this endless discussion:
There are not two or three X servers for Windows, there are DOZENS.
Almost all are commercial, but some are free or have a demo mode.
Instead of presenting my knowledge, I think it will be more useful
to give a good link:
http://www.rahul.net/kenton/xsites.html#XMicrosoft
Skip the "Reviews and Tutorials" section, and you'll reach
"Products", where a long list of X servers is detailed.
After the "Products" section, there are two more interesting
sections, one of them includes (among others) VNC. Regarding to
VNC, like Shachar wrote, it is not based on X protocol, but still
can serves you, especially when the direction is to show on your
Windows display an X application running on the UNIX. Only the
opposite direction is a hog, but if you'll upgrade your processor
(of the NT) and your LAN (to 100Mb), then even that direction will
be possible for you.
