NIS+netgroups and RedHat 5.2

  Hi,

   I am having problems convincing RedHat 5.2 to behave the way all other
Unix machines behave, when NIS is concerned.

I have tried various setups, in which /etc/nsswitch.conf had:

passwd:	files nis
group:	files nis
netgroup: nis

or

passwd:	compat
group:	compat
netgroup: nis

In all test cases, I tried adding either a:

+@some_netgroup:x:0:0::::

or a:

+@some_netgroup::0:0::::

or a:

+@some_netgroup::::::

or a:

+@some_netgroup

I read the faqs and docs that come with RedHat (ypbind faqs, pam faqs,
yp-utils faqs). They specify that it should work, but it doesn't. `+'
entries only work if I am giving a +user entry, such as:

+ariel:x:::::

or:

+::::::

Anyone has experience with it ?

Btw, glibc is 2.0.7, and I tried ypbind-3.3-9 and 3.3-11.

Thanks,

--Ariel
