Yes,
Check if kaudioserver is running (thats the process name)
If it's not - then run it with your startkde script.
KISDN doesn't play sound direct to the sound card - but rather to K
Audio Server (which is replaced with something much better in KDE 2.0)
which enables the KDE to mix several sounds together (for example - if
you play mp3's)
