Re: download question



Using netscape, as far as I know you can't continue the download. But, if
you can connect via ftp (If you can't get an ftp address directly, try
putting your mouse over the link and check the status bar at the bottom of
the screen, it should show what the link is pointing to, if its not a cgi
script it should give you an ftp address), you can connect from an ftp
program (I prefer lftp, but most of them will do it, you can just write
ftp ... and it should connect). then use get to get the file, and if your
cut off you can continue the download using reget. If you use lftp, don't
use pget for downloads (it is faster if the link is bad because it opens
several conections) because reget won't continue the download properly. I
never tried to start downloading through netscape, and then continue the
donload with reget, so i can't say if it will work.
