Agreed, closing the list may be an unwise choice for the LUG as a whole.
Most lists are 'out-of-area' or even international now, so we have to
understand
allot of this is going to happen eventually. We all have filters
(procmail, Netscapes'
filtering, etc.) and I suppose (like SVLUG) putting a note at the bottom
of each list-posting about proper LUG-specific usage, etc., would be
helpful?
