My point was that the authorities will not let researches in an Israeli
university release the source to something so powerful as MOSIX. In the
US, this kind of technology may be considered too dangerous and cannot
be exported. I'm pretty sure that similar regulation holds here.

There are certain connection between universities and army facilities.
There is nothing new about that. The Internet itself as you all know
started up as ARPAnet under the American DoD.
Prof. Barak himself said that such connections exist between MOSIX (as
developers) and army (as users). That should be enough connection for
the army to restrict source distribution.

Mind you - I am not for this to happen, just guessing what might holding
them back...
As member of the Academy they surely know Open Source (TM) is a better
way...
