How to change the window manager in RedHat 6.0

Hi,

RedHat starts the Xclients file which checks for other files
to determine what window manager to run. By default it comes with gnome
which I would like to change to fvwm95.

Xclient first checks for /usr/sysconfig/desktop file and if
"anotherlevel" is written
there then .wm_style file is checked to see what is this anotherlevel
means.
In the .wm_style file I put fvwm95 and fvwm95 is installed and shown
correctly in
the path. However, the Xclients script always falls back to fvwm2.

What do I miss?
Is there a neater way to do this thing (I cannot find it in the
control-panel)?

Thanks,
Shlomo.
