Configuring the resolution
I recently got a new monitor (my old one failed) and configured it using
Xconfigurator. I configured it as "Monitor that can do 1280 x 1024 @ 60
Hz" as the manual for the monitor says that it is capable of this.
However, my display (as from xdplyinfo) is 640 x 480. Using
Ctrl-Alt-plus/minus does not change the resolution. I remember from
around 2 years ago that there was a GUI that could be used to change the
resolution, but I can't remember the name of the command for this. I think
it was "Xconfig" or "ConfigX" but I can't find this using find / -name
"<name-of-file>" -print. How can I change the display?
Thanks in advance,
Jonathan Daniel
