The message means, that the root fs CAN be mounted. Make a boot floppy
using the CDROM an Loose95 or whatever you use when in distress, and boot
from it. If you follow the instructions, you will be able to mount the
root partition and edit whatever you have screwed up (probably rc.S) with
a text editor.
