Re: HP CD-RW 7200e
If it's the same as 7100e then
you should compile the kernel with parallel devices support , epat
protocol
parallel cd (pcd), and for cdwriting - parallel generic (pg).
prefferebly as modules.
then:
to /etc/conf.modules add:
option parport_pc irq=7 io=0x378
and :
modprobe epat
and
modprobe pg
or
modprobe pcd
(you cant use both)
the either mount:
mount /dev/pcd0 -t iso9660 /mnt/cdrom
or burn:
cdrecord dev=0,0,0 ....
or 'cdrecord -scanbus ' if the device is not 0,0,0
or 7100i (7200i also ?)
you need to compile the kernel as scsi-ide emulation, scsi cd and scsi
generic.
the insmod the modules,
the either mount (same as above, but scd0 instead of pcd0)
or use cdrecord (get device by 'cdrecord -scanbus')
btw: all I wrote here is from my memory, so I may have been not so
accurate
and may forgot somthing.
