Re: M$ IL latest craze
AB>> Pirating software is downright stealing. The fact Israelies don't see it
This thesis needs proof. Let's take example: it occurs to me, that I write
some nice song, which, being recited sufficiently loud, raises your morale
and allows you to work twice as efficiently as before. I claim that
everyone who recites it should pay me $300 immediately, because I invested
enormous amount of my genie and sleepless nights into this song. Would be
singing this song without paying $300 "stealing"? Don't you feel you
extend this word a bit to much?
AB>> that way, and they pirate software, don't pay for shareware, and in
AB>> general act like a bunch of worthless scums when it comes to software is
AB>> downright disgusting to me, and if some software pirates would have been
AB>> put behind bars, because they can't pay a XX million dollars lawsuit of
AB>> Microsoft against them, then maybe the message would pass through.
Ok, let's put 94% of Russia's people, 80% of Israel people and 40% of
America people behind bars. Very funny. print 'Ha' x 3.
I'd like to be in then - the company there would be ar better that outside ;)
Don't you think that this issue has passed the limits of "jail them all
criminals" far ago and the true solution should be sought?
AB>> Of course that if all this could have been passed through education from
AB>> the early age, i.e., respecting other's property, and being honest and not
Or if that concept of "pay because I want you to pay and you can do
nothing about it" would have any sense...
When you buy a book, you get thing. Nobody copies books - even though it's
feasible - at least, not until it's impossible to buy own copy. And you
don't call those students in copy room "thieves", don't you? They are
basically violating copyright not less than copying software - copying
books is also prohibited. But with books you know what you get and why.
With (mass-market) software you get nothing for you money - so let's
pretend to be naive and don't understand why so many people don't want to
pay money for nothing, yes?
I only wonder, how people so educated cannot understand that it's
impossible to solve problems by telling "I want it to be so" and then
jailing everyone who doesn't comply.
