Suggestions similar to yours have been suggested in past episodes of
flames by&toward whining newbies.
Those suggestions have not been implemented.
The reason is simple: those suggestions do not solve the problem.
The problem is not load of the volunteers.
The problem is newbie questions posted to a forum where they are not
welcome.
Newbies will continue to be so clueless that they'll continue to post
their newbie questions to the veteran-linux-il mailing list.
And... you know what? They'll even continue to whine about the harsh
treatment, which they receive when they post to veteran-linux-il instead
of newbie-linux-il!
I am one of the volunteers. So far I had no trouble handling newbie
questions sent to me by private E-mail. Apparently newbies, who are smart
enough to read the FAQ and send their questions to volunteers - are smart
enough to first RTFM (that's "Read The Fucking Manual") other
documentation.
