Managing mail for a sub-domain
Hello list !
I've been running a server (RH5.1 with sendmail) to manage the kibutz
e-mail for sometime now. it also manages some other domains using a
virtual user table. everything works quite well so far (I've still got
some problems - mail to the webmaster to any domain lands in the box of
webmaster@betalfa.org.il, but tht's not my question today :-).
we also have around here , a small LAN (about 10 users or so) which is ran
by an M$-SMS on NT4, and we want to issue a sub-domain (let's say -
bat.betalfa.org.il) for that LAN, so it's users will be able to recieve
e-mail w/o me needing to open accounts for them on the main server. the
NT Server connects to the internet (and our main server) on-demand ,
through a modem dial-up, and I want to store all the mail, sent to the
sub-domain, on the main server (as a back-up MX) and let the Exchange
server get all the mail queued whenever it logs on , and manage it's own
useres.
can this be done using my current setup, and if true - then how ?
if not - what kind of software do I need to get in order to make this work
for me ?
TIA
Oded
