Re: The Linux Event

Yes. Ulam 1 is a part of Bitan 31. And you don't have to pay for
the exhibition in order to enter the event. Moreover: The
exhibition is totally closed (even for payers) in the hours that
the event is beginning.
Regarding to your previous message:
It was discussed too much, and after wasting all my time on that
issue, I posted some rules how to further discuss this issue with
me. Since that message didn't follow these rules, it was just
ignored. Sorry (next year, you are welcome to organize the next
happening, where you can demonstrate kernel 2.0.36, Samba 1.9.?,
etc.). Meanwhile, if I want to promote the event and to help it to
succeed, I must invest some time also in the event, and not in
useless arguments.
I don't want to sound offensive; I am just tired of it. Imagine:
Any initiative has its opposition. Or even only people with some
differnet nuances. There are hundreds of subscribers. Even if only
fourth (1/4) of them disagree with this initiative, and only a
half of this fourth will express themselves on the list, it is
enough to flood the list.
On the last 5-7 days, "only" 3-4 messages in this issue were
posted daily. But it sums to dozens of messages. And all the other
hundreds of subscribers are forced to read our idiotic argument.
Why?
There are so many who are happy with the stuff being demonstrated
(some of them even wrote to me about it), and there are others who
are against. We cannot meet the demands and wishes of everybody.
Just let me repeat what I wrote so many times (including today
earlier):
In any case, I can't answer everybody. I prefer that people with
different opinions will call me, and explain their opinions (I
understand Hebrew much better than English), and if they think
that I am so fool to not understand what they say, write it to
the list. When you argue with somebody so publically, and force
hundreds subscribers to hear your claims, he must answer you in
the same forum, and this ping-pong may continue forever.
Sometimes a quick phone call is much more productive.
My phone is 050-237338. It will be remained open all the night (+
the day after, night after, etc.). If you want to discuss it with
others too, use the "conference" feature (if your phone supports
it). I promise to answer everybody (even when it will be too late,
e.g. in the event).
So many times I decided not to organize more events, because of
this reason. Unfortunately, I did this mistake again and again.
Don't build on that; One time I will really give up...
