FRITZ!Card PCI & Linux

I hope someone here can help...

I have RedHat Linux 5.2 and a custom built 2.2.3 kernel. I also have an AVM
FRITZ!Card PCI that I got from ISDNnet. And I have no clue on how to run it
on Linux.

When I configure the kernel, I compiled ISDN support and support for AVM A1
(aka Fritz) with the HighSax driver as modules (Modules because the card is
PnP). My kernel is configured to auto-load (with mod_probe) the modules it
needs on startup, and it doesn't load the modules I compiled. And for some
reason, the modules don't appear on RedHat's Kernel Configurator.

I tried to install the isdn4k-utils, but it trashed my system - when I load
linux it loads, and then displays a screenful of junk and hangs. It does
the same when I load it with the generic kernel I got from RedHat 5.2,
which means the problem wasn't the kernel. When I load the system with the
rescue disk, I can't "rpm -o isdn4k-utils...".

Does anyone have experiance with installing the FRITZ!Card PCI under linux?
If so, after I install it, how do I use it? I understand I need to use
ipppd which is a part of the isdn4k-utils, though how do I write scripts
for it, etc.? And does it function like the regular pppd? And what should I
link /dev/modem to? Also, is there a script someone wrote to connect to
ISDNnet? If I go to the ISP Scripts section on the linux.org.il under
ISDNnet there is only a FAQ for general questions about the service, no
scripts. Oh, and the link to the ISDN HOWTO on your page is broken.

Thanks in advance for your help,
