Re: loadlin
Well, I've solved the problem of the image file. I had mounted my DOS
partitions using the option 'conv=a' -- not such a good idea, I guess.
It seems that the image files I copied to the DOS partition were getting
automatically converted to something almost, but not completely, unlike
an image file.
But guess what? I still can't do what I'm trying to do. The whole reason
that I wanted to boot using loadlin was so that I could get into linux
with my PnP soundcard initialized. Now, when I run loadlin with the
soundcard initialized, the computer boots. When the soundcard is not
initialized, linux boots up just fine.
Any ideas?
