KDE gets installed to /usr (as it normally should be, just like all

I filed a bug report a while ago and received a quite unclear response

Man, if an improperly set variable and a non-working non-critical
[sic!] program make you call a release an Alfa... Anyway.
As a RedHat beta team member, I've been running an internal 5.8.6
release for about 1.5 months on my office (= semi-production) machine
and I am pretty satisifed with it. Still waiting to receive my 5.9 CD
though...
