Re: Announcement: The Linux Event

this is news to me... in every hi-tech show I have been to in the US
here it's always the CEO of a dominant company or a technology leader
that has the first keynote (yes, some conferences have more than one).
Like Bill Gates at comdex (for a few years in a row, AFAIR) and Linus
Torvalds at LinuxWorld next month (anyone coming? it's 20 minutes from
my house).

of Linux or of Oracle for Linux? :)

I think we can stop calling linux an underdog. Synopsis officially
announced porting to Linux, special support departments opened at SGI,
IBM, Compaq and HP, Dell soon to Join (already sells pre-installed
systems too though).

I don't want to offend, offending would be getting Arie Scope to keynote
the event :-) I was just thinking that maybe an professional or
academic figure would have fit in the picture. Ahh... I forget it's a
sales bazaar at Ganey HaTa'arukha... not a technical convention.
