>From my experience, it's time for full backup *now*, and then looking for
a new harddisk. If you continue working with faulty HD, you risk head
crash (if the fault is mechanical) - which usually means loss of all data
on all the disk.

With SCSI, on the other side, I heard about faulty cabling, so it might be
still to your disk.
