Open Mail

hi All,

Well yes, I did some testings and contacting some people at HP (here in
Israel where they didn't even HEARD about this product) and in Europe.

You can download HP OpenMail 6.0 and it will give you a free 50 user
licenses. Each 50 will costs you about 2,100$ (If I'm not mistaken).

The program itself is pretty easy to install (couple of RPM's, and it
comes with PDF files as an online help), and it's a 1:1 port of
Microsoft Exchange server (including support for lotus CC Mail, and all
the thinks MS Exchange have).

You'll also get as a bonus an Outlook client (built with Motif) for
Linux.

As for Samba and passwords - Use the latest SAMBA as a PDC Server...

Windows updates - they're not activated automatically (and I wouldn't
turn them on either), but if you look at the commercial Redhat 6.1 -
you'll see you also have this function (sort of - you'll need to
configure it for "automatical" with crontab for automatical live
update).

Thanks
Hetz
