Way to go! I ditched KDE for the same reason. I moved to Window Maker,
though --

Everybody has his own preferences. XEmacs is at
http://www.xemacs.org, and I recommend it for editing, programming,
main & news reading, and just about everything else you do with your
computer. :-)
