now that you mentioned it, and that you get a nice set of resources from a
set of people - it's time for my plag - why won't you use all that nice
information, and form up a good tutorial, that i'll be able to use to
start a 'scripting languages tutorials' site on the LUPG web site
(http://www.actcom.co.il/~choo/lupg/) ? i promise to give credit and
retain a copyright for the rightful owner of such a contributed tutorial.
will you pick up the glove?

just to remind - i once asked for other people's help in writing
tutorials. few has answer, non has actually done something... so again, i
plee - anyone care to help? i'm only one, and i can only write a new
tutorial every so often. it takes around 15-30 hours to write most
tutorials, so it means that two month of writing 2 hours a week could
evolve into a small tutorial, while two month of 4 hours a week will
evolve into a large tutorial. more then this - you do not need to actually
be familiar with the area you're writing about - all info can be taken out
of man pages, example source programs, and your own trial and error. the
reward for you is to become very familiar with new areas of
unix programming - which is a must-have for good unix programmers.
so if someone feels like trying this out, i could help out with ideas,
with forming a proper table of conetents, and with criticism...

guy

p.s. i did NOT neglect the Xlib tutorial - it is about 69 lynx-screens so
far, and there are 5 more sections to go...
