If you mean viewing pages with "logical R2L", I've implemented the
XDrawString function (from libX11) with support for bidirection (using
Dov's Fribidi library). You can find it at
http://www.cs.bgu.ac.il/~zivav/hebrew
If you mean entering hebrew, than simply enter the text as you would if
netscape supported bidirectionality. It will appear reversed on your
screen, but the remote site will understand it (at least for
www.diburim.co.il forums, and walla, tapuz etc. search engines).
BTW, about the xmodmap: I use xkb (and keymaps in the console), such that
the windows keys are used for hebrew (the double key for shift, and the
single for lock), and the ScrollLock led indicates hebrew mode (X only).
If someone wants that configuration, please tell me.
