Re: modem problems
Did he configure the irq of the modem not to clash with the other ports ?
I had a similar problem with my internal modem which under windows
is COM3 and under Linux ttyS2. I grabbed irq 5 for the modem and everything
started working. Try running (as root):
setserial /dev/ttyS2 irq 5
(replacing with your parameters)
