I second you for that (in fact that was the first thing I thought when
reading the email, but just wanted to see whether there is another person
who is annoyed by that choice of words.)

I sent a note about that the last time people talked about crackers, but
typed hackers -- it seems that it didn't help...

PLEASE, people of ILUG, use the term crackers to describe people who crack
into things, and hackers people who hack things, so at least I'll be able
to get mad when I see a clueless newsreporter say that some hacker broke
into the his home computer, deleted all the files, put his monitor on
fire and killed the cat.
