Just a quick note about this -- Debian uses a wrapper installed as
/usr/X11R6/bin/X at least since version 2.0, so if you're installing a 
new server on a Debian system that is 2.0 or newer, you will have no
problems.

The nice thing about Windows is - It does not just crash, it displays a
dialog box and lets you press 'OK' first.
