Confusion of People & Computers...

I am really sorry. They sent me a form with the "220" NIS on it.
There was written "telephone", so I called them immediately, but
they answered "it means Internet, not Telephone". I asked about
the ISP charge, and they answered "none". After I sent you the
message, I called them again regarding to IP, netmask, type of
cable, etc., and they didn't have an answer, so they passed me to
somebody "expert". She said: "Of course it is not an Internet
connection. FR costs 1600+NIS+ costs per day + costs of your ISP.
220 is the cost of a simple phone line. And of course, you still
have to pay your ISP, but not through us".

Of course, you cannot travel with your own cables and wire them,
since the place is owned by Merkaz-HaYeridim, so you are forced
to use their infrastructure and to pay their high prices. It is
different than previous events. Sorry, but really not my fault.

IBM was excellent.
I didn't know that Bezeq charged IBM; Bezeq didn't do anything,
and Uriel Ben-David of PF1 had to do all the wiring. He was SO
nervous and angry for that. Ask him about that.

> can you just pay to Bezeq and get an Internet connection?

NO!
Sorry; Please blame Merkaz-HeYeridim.

Sorry if you feel offended, but you could call me and I could
explain all these things. There is nothing to do with IBM or ILUG,
and I don't think that all the subscribers should read all these
boring issues. I answer publically only because you posted your
mail publically. The fault is of Merkaz-HeYeridim and Bezeq only.
Merkaz-HeYeridim forces you to use their infrastructure, and
charges you impossible prices.
Sorry, but while there are bodies (like IBM) which don't charge
even for things that cost them money, there are other bodies which
charge a lot of money for things which don't cost them anything...
